I've been messing around in custom games, but oh well we can kind of do the same thing here in the current build.

Rules:
- bring a Divine Rapier to the enemy's T4 and pause for verification
6RVdkUt.jpg

Example: I've got muh rapier and ported into the enemy T4 as furion

You are free to do whatever you want: lane, jungle, midas, random hero (for extra gold), soul ring, bottle, Rosh.
Or you can wait for your opponent to make one and then gank em before they gets to the T4 and pause.

Prizes:
Huneipop Steam code (random prize)
Set of Genuine Immortal Rapiers (Ember Spirit)
Unlocked Rapier Beaver Knight (Sing's courier)
Ceremonial Rapier (Kunkka)

Method:
1. Sign up and a bracket will be made.
2. Contact your opponent within a week for play time
3. Flip a coin or decide Dire/Radiant or Server for advantage
4. Pick Create Lobby
5. Select "All Pick" and "Server" (Don't pick 1v1 solo mid or else it will end after the T1 dies)

6. Report winner in this thread or the Inhouse thread

How in the hell did someone unlock the rapier style for the Beaver Knight? That's way too many games to have watched Sing Sing play. Straight dedication.

why do people not like kill la kill

All anime is for jerks.

Yes, even that one you were thinking of that even your non-anime loving friends like. It's for jerks and they are jerks for liking it.

AFAIK you get credit for watching his pub games, so just wait for him to start strimming and follow along in Dota TV.

You can balance them out between acoounts. Download like 50 TI4 and TI2 games. Watch them on one account, trade them to the other account. Voila

Having an argument with someone (won't names) about this game we just had: http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/1306057414

We were losing it early, I was falling behind, I needed to get more farm and get items going. Going in headfirst without items would be foolish and would lead to more deaths. I'm aware I made some mistakes early, I was trying to recover from them. The person in question said I needed to be ganking and not farming. I told him that he was incorrect, as we had me and Drow, and could win this lategame with farm for it. Turns out, we actually almost got it, just our SK was kind of dumb, Drow had poor itemization, and some other factors.

So as far as I was concerned, what was the way for me to win this early: farming or constant ganking?

I feel it started strong, but the huge shift in plot direction left a sour taste in my mouth. The original premise was so much more interesting then the way the show ended.

That's like every anime though. Remember when Bleach was about hunting ghosts. Or when Dragonball was about dragonballs

Considering qop ult and call pierce it, wd don't give an eff about it, neither does slark, and mirana arrows shouldn't be a bkb issue, why go bkb here? WD that on point with cask?

Otherwise it's a tough call. Farming and ignoring this steamroll with a hero as good at initiating as storm is an issue, but that's not an easy team to fight into. Probably should have let drow farm more? But she didn't seem too good at it so I think chalk it up to "everything just went wrong." With storm it's always going to be a mix of farming between scouting for pickoffs.

Yes, and I stopped Bleach soon after the Soul Society Arc, and had to force my self to finish Dragon Ball Z Kai after loving the original Dragon Ball Anime. They kept jumping the shark in DBZ, and powering up the cast far to much, and it became nothing but a series of over the top fights, losing all the adventure. Hell, they basically edited out the last bit of adventure from the Vegeta and Frieza Saga for the sake of time in Kai.

Toriyama, why did you have to send Goku to space, it ruined the series

Orchid is a pretty good reason to go BKB...

And yeah, the DRow farm was an issue, I was telling everyone to farm more.

4 stacks are the worst.

If you 4 stack, please let the 5th wheel know at the START of the match you are a 4 stack and what lanes you plan on running so you don't get a fucking idiot like me picking a support like Shadow Shaman and ending up midlane against Huskar.

LiQuid!

Whenever I 4 stack the guys I play with expect our pub fifth to read their minds and do everything expected of them without communication and then they flip their god damned lids at them after they do something unorthodox or against their wishes. It drives me crazy but I'm no better because I'm not proactive in preventing it, so whatever.

Whenever I 4 stack my group always asks the fifth what they plan on going. Most of the time they don't even answer so we try to wait and see what they pick and pick around them. It's easier that way than expecting a random to comply with what you want.

You're correct but Rhasta can mid quite well in pubs.

I didn't do terribly but I had no idea I was mid until lycan/tiny/wisp all went bottom. Didn't have a bottle until much later than I'd want on a mid. Had to stay back since just a few burning spears destroyed me.

I think it needs to be emphasized to new players how important farm is in Dota, and this includes supports securing farm for cores. I think now the biggest thing I notice in my matches, and even matches above my MMR is that people don't farm. I watched a friend's game earlier today, he was solo queued, and by the time tuned in, they were losing. The first thing I did was look at the farm: 80 CS on Jugg in 40 minutes, as I watched this Jugg chase another kill he had no hope of getting.

Now, more than ever, farm wins games. Stack camps, blow up Enigmites with your AoE, whatever, just farm. Unless your lineup absolutely can't take the game!e beyond a certain point, farming wins 90% of games.

I have seen the amount of games I win go up just because I have been farming more.

Edit: God dammit autocorrect

This is why i only watch Anime with 30 or so eps. Shit like Trigun and Cowboy Bebop. You know its going to end so you can get closure. Shit like Bleach and DBZ and One Piece just drag on forever with hundreds of hours of unimportant filler eps.

I agree

I have a friend with who sits at about 3.2K MMR (about 600 games played), which is above average, but he constantly loses games due to not doing anything of value with his time in game.

As soon as the lane-ing stage ends he stops farming and will aimlessly wonder between lanes or do the 5v5 dick waggle mid, or even walk all the way to the secret shop from base to buy something.

I think its because for most newer players, they have no base to compare to. MOBAs look like RPGs, but thats where the similarities end. What kind of a stupid and boring game makes you ignore all the fun fighting stuff for 15 minutes while you click NPC shit in a forest?

That and I think there is a mindset that farming feels "useless" like the common scenario: "X was off farming during that team fight we just lost at the enemy T2 with T1's still up, report!"

Farming to me is always been fun as hell, using little tricks to maximize farm is a game in and of itself. For instance, using the Overload slow on some creeps to ensure successful stacking of a camp. There is also using HotD and stacking ancients in the middle of a team fight. Then farming those delicious stacks is always satisfying.

In that match I posted earlier (by the way if anyone else has opinions about that, please say them), notice how I am the highest level hero in that match, with my GPM not far below the other team's cores. I think it was a game that could still be brought back, just the rest of my team (especially the Drow) were not farming enough.

that sound like a lot of rpgs and mmos

Yesterday was my first time muting all my teammates. They were bitching every minute so before my stress level go high, I muted them. We eventually won and I think if I hadn't muted them, I would have been on tilt. I will make use of this useful feature more.

why would you farm creeps and NPC when you can be farming heroes instead ?

Team has no way to deal with a farmed sniper, so you lost since he got 750gpm. Also dealing with 3 blinks is not easy.

Knowing when to play is part of Dota skill, don't play on tilt.

"tilt" is a bullshit made up thing you know ?
We could have won if SF and sven weren't trash, I almost got a blink too but had to buyback just before. We took several fights and ganks successfully, sniper with MoM and no bkb just dies to veno.

The idea of being on Tilt is not bullshit. If you are in a agitated mood you will play worse and be more prone to making errors.
