wat? The kid buu fight had the best animation of the entire series (barring maybe a couple episodes, where they switched to the shitty animation team; seems like they alternated between the good team and the shitty team every other episode during the buu saga).

Yeah it's awesome I meant reanimated it for the better.
There were awful animated Kid Buu fights but those were fillers.

I'm a huge Kid Buu fan. I just want to relive the moment in pure awesomeness.

Hmmm, seeing the 720p rip, i'm kind of disappointed by it's sharpness (or lack of !).

I guess the BRD release of this won't be really necessary. But shouldn't it be more sharp if they used old cellos on original backgrounds ? It just looks like an old video transfer. There is even some grain in the beginning.

Don't really like the new songs. Not bad but they aren't particularly great. Doesn't have the camp feel of the original DBZ songs but doesn't have the sort of mainstream/audio appeal of the DBGT ones. Beh.

Hated the OP. DOKKAN DOKKAN PARADICE, ugh. And somehow it sounded like Dan dan kokoro hikareteku, only bad. ED was more acceptable.

The transition from the OP to the actual episode is painful, makes me want a proper remake. But since that is not to be, I'm happy that they're doing what they're doing. So far so good.

I never liked the voice or music of the American dub. But all my friends liked it. When they watched my tapes from Japan they'd always laugh at Goku's voice but it was what I was used to.

But yeah, that was a very good episode.

I really can't stand the Japanese voices. I don't know if it's the same in other anime since DBZ is the only one I like, but their voices can sound extremely high pitched (especially when they yell and there's a lot of yelling.

It's a girl doing the voice of Goku. That's why. She started out doing Son Goku's voice from when he was a kid and stuck with it. She's quite old now though. She's in her mid 70s, believe it or not.

But I guess if you didn't grow up with it, it's hard to switch over.

Keep watching Kai though. I think most fans will grow to like Masako Nozawa's voice over time.

I can't even fathom why they thought it would be a good idea to re-do everything EXCEPT the original animation.

I mean, the only reason I can't sit down with my wife to watch it is because she says the animation fucking sucks. Doesn't really compute to go through all that effort and not redraw it, in my mind, although I'll acknowledge that would be by far the hardest part to do.
