Yeah hearing lots of performance issues so I will definitely hold off until it's patched.Holding out for more performance information and impressions.
Also because I don't want to upgrade my PC right now

I agree, fugma ass.Can’t believe we didn’t go with Dragon’s Fugma |OT|
Missed opportunity
Might be just me but it seems there might be a bit less of hitstop with daggers and swords. Greatswords tho, that still has tons of hitstop.I'm still trying avoid videos of the game but can anyone answer whether it will have the same hitstop mechanic from the first game? I love that feeling of impact. Love it so much I even added it to Skyrim via mod..
Greatsword hitstop is a MUST in any game that respects greatswords,I love the way it was in Dark Arisen.Might be just me but it seems there might be a bit less of hitstop with daggers and swords. Greatswords tho, that still has tons of hitstop.
I dunno, might be related not to weapon type but to damage dealt.
Holy fucking shit....
Everywhere you go for this game the only talk is about performance...I wanted to check the review thread again to ask some question about music in the game and all they do is talk about framerates...WTF is wrong with you people??? There's literally a thread dedicated to Capcom adressing the performance of the game, would you kindly go there if performance is all you care about?
Some of us are curious about other aspects of the game, you know...the stuff that makes for the other 90% of the experience like world,characters,story,music,combat...
I was curious about the music in this game,I saw one review mention the music isn't as memorable as the first game and that has me concerned a bit as I loved the music and subtle cues in Dark Arisen.Especially the main theme.
But fuck that, caring about the actual game,DD2 is all about that FRAMERATE!![]()

Oh yeah, that would be cool to know,I'm interested if the strider dodge roll core skill is in for the thief...It still hurts the Strider isnt a vocation in the game anymore...I'll have to check out the OST after the game releases. We shall see if it holds up to DD1's amazing OST.
I'd ignore the people crying over performance.
I myself am more interested in a complete spell list for all the Magic Vocations in the game.
I've already received a one-two punch to the gut about the lack of female walking animation and the lack of layered armor. It hurt bad, but it kind of put my expectations in check that other things will be on par or less than the first one. The first one just pulled all the magic like no other. It was lightening in a bottle, if folks just opened their eyes to it.Holy fucking shit....

The first thing I noticed in the character creator was the missing walking animations from the first. Very lame.I've already received a one-two punch to the gut about the lack of female walking animation and the lack of layered armor. This game will rule hard, but things can change down the line with the supposed dlc (from Capcom leak). You never know. At least the first one will still remain unique.
Amen. Sure, there's valid problems with the game.......BUT keep that shit in the performance thread. That is what it's for. Fuck off, click back and hit that thread and complain all you want. I'd like to talk about the gameplay and moments in this thread.Holy fucking shit....

But it IS playable, more than playable,I've seen 2 reviews talking about how it dips a bit but say it's not that noticeable or annoying and that they had a blast with the game. Can you imagine waiting 12 years for a game and the day finally arrives and you can barely play it? We are right demanding better peformance.
People are much more attracted to focusing on the negatives rather than the positives. It is what it is, I'm afraid.Holy fucking shit....

There will be a mod for proper female animations, then quickly banned on Nexus around the same time some animal sex and pron mod arrives only to be ignored by them.I've already received a one-two punch to the gut about the lack of female walking animation and the lack of layered armor. Me too,12 years.... it's been so long.I might get it tomorrow if the delivery guy doesn't mess up.People are much more attracted to focusing on the negatives rather than the positives. It is what it is, I'm afraid.
That said, can't wait for the game to release and finally be able to play it.
Save that for the Expansion OT lolGreat OT. Title should have been Pawnhub though!
So what starting Vocation is everyone planning to pick?
I remember I picked Strider (mix of Archer and Thief) the first time playing through the original. This time I'm leaning towards a mage with my pawn being either a fighter or thief.

Sweet baby inc foaming at the mouth at the thought of your privileged male gaze.
You should name her Sweet Baby Inc for maximum privilege. She's going to be sexually objectified and she can't event constent
Trickster is definitely the most interesting and cool looking class in the series by far but seems like a class that would be really good in late game when pawns are super buff and terrible early on cuz without good pawns you'd be like a fish on dry land.Mage ----> Sorcerer.
Primary Pawn is gonna be a Thief.
Probably gonna run a Sorcerer/Mage/Warrior/Archer party comp. Really depends.
Trickster seems interesting as a technical class that focuses on buffing the party and faking out enemies.
You can make some really, really thick thighs in the creator. Bless Capcom.Big male power fantasy knight and my waifu mage
yeah it's kinda insane. And all these people were playing bloodborne, tlou2, uncharted4, god of war2018 and all their fav games at 30fps or less just few years back.Holy fucking shit....

Well said well said. I think the social media and people growin up with the internet and age of digital foundry are "nouveau enthusiasts".But it IS playable, more than playable,I've seen 2 reviews talking about how it dips a bit but say it's not that noticeable or annoying and that they had a blast with the game.
This is all just hyperbolic drama because the game isn't stable 60fps and has been the major discussion of the game ever since the performance was announced for consoles. It has overshadowed every other discussion about the game.
Capcom has already commented on the issue, they'll try to fix it.
And anyway the problem isnt even talking about it but it seems that every conversation is about framerate and everything else gets lost in the mix.
Anyway man, let's not talk about this, I've had my share of framerate arguments for this game to hold me for a lifetime.
Same here, I want to go with a recreation of my pawn from DD1 which was a big old man, yet I'm sure a cute girl will grant me a lot more of rift crystals.Right now I have the difficult decision of what type of pawn will farm me the most rift crystals. Female, obviously. Mage is probably the safe early game bet. I guess I'm really just hung up on wondering how many people are actually closet furries.
Decisions, decisions.
Made a Goblin Girl using this as the baseline. You can make some really, really thick thighs in the creator. Bless Capcom.
I'd say you can never go wrong with a female mage pawn,I personally always go with a full female party in Dark Arisen but mainly because I hated dressing up my male party for Ophis all the damn time...but at the same time...Right now I have the difficult decision of what type of pawn will farm me the most rift crystals. Female, obviously. Mage is probably the safe early game bet. I guess I'm really just hung up on wondering how many people are actually closet furries.

I've tried to avoid most spoilers for the game, but pretty sure (unlike DD1) vocation doesn't affect min/max for stat growth. The only reason to swap vocation would be for unlocking their augments to mix and match, and because you think whatever vocation might be desirable to people at various points / levels in the game. You should really be rotating vocations as you go, instead of waiting till endgame. Will end up with warrior for my pawn though.
Couldn't agree more about the manufactured opinions of alot of people nowadays.Well said!yeah it's kinda insane. And all these people were playing bloodborne, tlou2, uncharted4, god of war2018 and all their fav games at 30fps or less just few years back.
Now it's unplayable and looking like a ps3 game.
I agree, the lack of 30fps lock is a bit worrisome but knowing capcom, if they even add 30fps lock, it will lag up the game like stupid.
Graphically, I like how it looks on the videos. The shiny armors, dynamic environment and so on. Lighting looks dynamic and not as static as original. Love the heavy animations.
If al these people were reviewing the game, metasocre would be 0 because 30fps is unplayable lol
Well said well said. I think the social media and people growin up with the internet and age of digital foundry are "nouveau enthusiasts".
To me they are people with fake taste which isn't really their own. It's taste from social media.
yeah they hate forspoken because it's memed by everyone. they hate ff16 because it's popular to hate it. yeah they hate 30fps because they are superior now with their new "knowledge" about tech from df.
They didn't grew up with crt monitors, old consoles, old pcs and so on. They didn't grew into their opinion. It is manufactured.
If this is true then that is good.I've tried to avoid most spoilers for the game, but pretty sure (unlike DD1) vocation doesn't affect min/max for stat growth.
