So is there a point where my stamina won't suck?

Because I'm level 19 now and I feel that my stamina still fucking sucks.

There's an augment from the Strider vocation that makes you run as one weight class lighter.

There's an augment from the Warrior (Fighter?) vocation called 'Sinew' that ups your carrying capacity by 20kg.

There are two augments that straight up boost your max stamina.

Leveling as a Strider, Assassin or a Ranger gives you good stamina growth per level up. Other vocations not so much.

I killed Grigori. Such a magnificent beast, and a scholar too. I swear that dragon could teach philosophy at my university.

So what am I supposed to do now? I'm level 45-ish and everything looks out of my reach.

I killed the first boss in the everfall, but i don't deal damage to other bosses. I suppose BBI isn't going to differ if i go there now. I am really not in the mood to collect these wakestones though.

You're now in the
Post-Game
portion of Dragon's Dogma. You can
Explore the changes to Gransys
, try to
visit BBI and farm some items / levels to have a better chance in the Everfall
, or
wrap up other side quests before continuing the story with the 20 wakestone quest

http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/19/?

You deserve it. Love yourself. Mod out encumbrance.

Is there a way to mod out encumbrance for only inventory items? I still like weight being determined by gear and weapons, though.

I went to do a side quest and left Gran Soren, and some knight said to protect a cart as I was passing by. Off in the distance was a FLAMING CART being attacked by goblins. I clear them out, but then all of a sudden a griffin landed out of nowhere and killed all the knights. I tried to attack it and flew off. I finished the quest and returned to Gran Soren. When I went to do another quest, the damn griffin came back and started to attack my party. Fire spells were being thrown around, the griffin was eating a pawn, I tried to climb the griffin but I kept getting thrown off, it was madness. Eventually the party knocked him down and my pawn killed it with a HUGE fire spell. I swear that one spell must have taken off two health bars.

This game's pacing can be pretty glacial at times, but when it lets you go ham on a monster, it's a ton of fun.

Sinew is the single best augment regardless of your vocation, and honestly the only that feels like a requirement. The Strider one isn't really anything special, especially since it only affects walking and running speed. Sinew already takes care of that for the most part, and after you get it, it's easy to stay at "very light", especially if you have a heavier main pawn to offload stuff to. You can also get away with keeping a main pawn at "light", since stamina use is more efficient with the Arisen than a pawn, no matter how much they have.

I was a mage, now sorcerer.

It kind of sucks the fun out of simply playing, but it would help you out immensely taking at least 40 - 50 levels of Ranger or Strider. Probably Strider though since it has a more balanced stat growth, and less physical attack power than the Ranger. You don't actually really have to play as that class though for extended periods to get their benefits though. You would just need to switch vocations a thousand (or few) experience points away from a level up, get their stats at level up, then go back to playing the vocation you want to play. Although all of the vocations have something fun to offer, so it's not like it's a chore trying them out either.

This game is all about being an immensely polished gem, buried under a mountain of shit. What it gets right though, it so gets right better than anything else out there, barring Souls games of course.

went to do a escort mission (witch chick).

she wanted to do a long ass treck to a water spring. I went ahead before accepting to set down a teleport stone.

accept quest, SHIT the spring is even more north than the one i went to. i miscalculated where the spring was on the map. no biggie it's just a 5-10 minute trek. ill take it slow and use my bow to take out any wolves or potential enemies.

direwolves. no problem. snow harpies? annoying but manageable. My pawn took care of a cyclops in second. we good. i see the spring. just a few more minA FUCKING GRIFFON OUT OF NOWHERE!

NOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. shit the game saved just few minutes ago. the griffon will still kill her and fail the quest...i better load a savepoint from before.

it was almost an hour ago....this game mang.

I have a Alienware 14 with a Geforce GT555M cards and the framerate really dips in fights. Anything to do or I will just have to live with it?

What're your settings. You might have to turn down the resolution to 720p as well as the settings to low.

Hey all, friendly request for some riftbux.

Finally got my Strider Pawn outfitted with some solid augments and set inclinations to Utilitarian / Scather / Challenger.

Going to start stat training during level ups while doing the Post-Game Everfall.

Level 45-48 (can't remember which exactly), her name is Aria.

http://steamcommunity.com/id/Chronomancer

Getting ready for BBI so I know I'm gonna need them. Just finally at a point where my pawn feels solid enough to ask people to try her out.

I'm actually an assassin, the sorcerer is my main pawn

Ah! Yes. That room is a complete clusterfuck if you're pure physical. The pawns with shields?

Absolute bastards.

You'll be the fourth Arya on my pawn list, if you accept the invite.

Durante with the Fashion Souls pawn and MicVlad with the Wario/Waluigi combo always stand out in my rift. :lol

Someone took out my pawn and she brought back over 50k RC, basically doubling my reserves. Thanks! That was a lifesaver.

Should have a ur dragon 2h mace and a bbi weapon 3 too. :p I been giving shit away to folks on my friendlist.

So, this has probably been asked already...but does this weight/encumbrance mod mess with pawns at all (rift bans, etc), or is it just a local game change. I don't want to risk my ability to send my pawn out, if changes are detected by capcoms servers on a modded pawn.

The mod only affects your Arisen, so the Pawn in untouched. I use No Weight and Half Sprint, people have been renting my pawn without any issues.

Awesome, thank you. I've been trying to keep it unchanged, but inventory management is getting a little annoying. I'll just have to self-limit healing items

The weight mod affects both you and pawn(s). But it's local only, not that it would matter when your pawn is being used by someone else they don't take the inventory you had on your pawn.

Got around to adding some quality of life updates to my DS4 Inputmapper profile. It works as follows:

L2 + Triangle = Num 1 (Can assign stamina items, health items, lantern, etc to these number keys)
L2 + Square = Num 2
L2 + Cross = Num 3
L2 + Circle = Num 4
L2 + L1 = Num 5

L2 + Left Dpad = Draw/sheathe weapon
PS Button = Save game

Touchpad Left Click = Toggle Hud (Requires an ENB mod that has F10 set as toggle HUD)

To use this, you need to download Inputmapper application. Then, download this profile and put it in this folder - C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\InputMapper\Profiles.

It does affect your pawns locally, in that it sets everybody's inventory limit at like 100,000 or something, very high at any rate. But it's purely a local change, server-side it doesn't matter, so your pawn will have "normal" encumbrance limits in someone else's game.

On NG+ now and futzing around in BBI. Fun place to be. Going as assassin and it hasn't been too bad so far. Got to the room with the giant cyclops and took the void key. Tried fighting it, but was taking forever to bring down its health and I had to get ready for work. Will try again later. So far, only rings have dropped as far as fancy stuff goes, but keeping my fingers crossed for more interesting / pretty things later. Are there any decent relatively all-purpose weapon enchants I can slap on my sorcerer pawn for BBI?

Lightning is solid, Holy is probably your best bet.

Sorry for the 3 stars Walrus and mpk, lost both your pawns at the same time after keeping them for ages.

I try and make a habit to 5 star rate all pawns I hire from my friends list.

Is there a specific inclination combo to look for in mage's and sorcs late game to find one that don't like to stand in the middle of things and get hit all the god damn time? Usually go for util/medicant for a healer / support mage and something like challenger / mitigator for a damage one but more and more it feels like I'm spending more time reviving them because they see the Gorechimera + 2 garms and seems to want to stand in a spot so all 3 of them can melee them and they rarely get spells off (especially in sorcerer case).

Been bringing in rogue and warrior pawns lately instead of the Sorcerer types just because they seem more consistent.

I could have do the port trick but I was too lazy and the rewards aren't worth it anyways....

How do I get the wyrmking ring for myself? Is there a way to do that? And how does the achievement for going in to the duke's manse unlock? I thought I already did that in pt1?

1) Duplicate it at the Black Cat, and turn in the forgery as quest item.
2) The Duke's Manse isn't the Demesne, it's a dungeon in the northeastern part of the map called the Blighted Manse. You get there by picking up the
Duchess in Distress
quest.

You forge a fake copy at the Black Cat and give that one away in the required missions. You keep the real one. The fake one doesn't have any of the powers the original does, so be aware.

I could have sworn I picked that quest up but apparently you're supposed to go back again later in the story for a follow up?

and lol never thought about using the black cat

I don't really care about achievements especially not steam ones but some of these are really shitty especially one that *final boss spoiler*
you have to let yourself be killed by the Seneschal? Really?

The game... enjoys its anime. In addition to being utterly nonsensical. Don't take it too seriously. :p

Yeah there's a first quest where you met up
with Aelinore at night and got thrown in jail
, and there's a follow-up quest later which will take you to that Manse.

Got sick of grinding for level 3 armors with the optional bonuses so I beat the game on hard and got the set. On newgame+ now and I have decided to switch to normal to practice climbing. I was gunshy of climbing after starting a level 1 on hard and thought it would be a nice change of pace.

I also get to see if 100 stagger/knockdown resist actually works all the time on normal. Cause it sure as heck didn't on hard.

It is crap that we cannot trade purified gear.

Get those gaudy-as-fuck Gloves of Might and climbing will be as easy as walking up stairs.

This wiki says 820 unupgraded. Seems like you're looking at the Dragonforged value.

Same wiki (although I already correct myself): http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Staves

On another note, why does it show the gold rarifying locked out for an item I have, even though I have the necessary materials and RC? I just gold upgraded something else, so it's not like I'm not far enough in the game. Are you not allowed to skip upgrade tiers when rarifying, compared to how you can with the pre-dragonforged stuff?

"All staves are listed with dragonforged stats" yeah. I guess I missed your edit.

Unlike the star upgrades, where you can upgrade straight to 3 stars and skip the 1 and 2-star upgrades, you need to silver-rarefy before gold-rarefying. Maybe that's what you missed?

Edit: lol missed your edit again, yep that's exactly it.
