Really want to play this but I don't have strong PC, only decent laptop. My laptop specs:
Core i5-4200U 1.60GHz
RAM 6GB
Geforce 750M
Is it ok to run it at 60fps and low settings?

From earlier in the thread, a worse GPU runs it well enough with low settings, so you should be fine.

Makes sense. Though I wonder if that can cause any problems when you put that armor on a pawn and share him online in the rift. Since these sets are only obtainable via item editors and cheat engines, what would happen if someone who hasn't "unlocked" the item in their own game stumbles upon a pawn wearing that armor? Game crash? Save game corruption? Or will it just work?

That thought really makes me worry that people might potentialy fuck up the online pawn system in this game.
Well, all the archives are client-side, so the only case when this could cause problems is if they don't dummy it out properly (i.e. just rip out the whole file). But that could cause problems with game stability as a whole, since I think all the files are referenced in the executable. If you ask me, too much trouble; they didn't make the files available to the end user legimitately, so I doubt the license holders (or whatever caused the removal in the first place) will throw a tantrum.

hmm I'm not sure about actual leveling, I do remember by the time you're lvl40 you can kill most of the enemies on the map without problems, so you're probably going to be lvl50ish by the end of the game before all the endgame stuff, I don't think I got to lvl100 in my game

hmm, I'll just have to see for myself then how my character progresses.

I'll bet you can also easily make your pawns hybrid vocations (normally Arisen-only) with Cheat Engine. And grinding for the best armor will be pointless once item editors come out in like a month.

What I'd really love to see is an enemy spawn randomizer. The game's biggest issue has always been its largely static world.

I have to do some research if it'll be possible to mod the Japanese voices in. I've heard the files are not there, but could maybe be extracted from the PS3 disc.

I know Japanese VO is not popular with this game, but there's maybe a few of us who like them, lol.

the japanese version also has a different dark arisen theme song sung by a different singer, it'd be neat if someone mod that in

Is there any new content ? Or is it just the same but improved frames and graphics?

Looking forward to leveling up as a sorcerer to then kick ass as a Magick Archer

Played a tiny bit on PS3 - really enjoyed the combat. Tempted to get this but really have a helluva backlog atm anyway. Might wait to hear on the quailty of the port etc or just take the plunge

That's possible for sure, audio (both music and voice) seem to be just OGG files (renamed to .sngw) so it's a quite simple replacement job.

If you didn't play the Dark Arisen expansion there's new stuff. If you did it's just enjoying the game at higher, more stable framerate and higher res without the black bars.

Main problem will probably be the packing. From what I know the files are stored in uncompressed file packages (.pck) and while the format itself is super simple, there are no file names within the package. So good luck with replacing the right files lol

Well unless Xbox/PS3 version stored the same amount of files in the same order. Then it should be trivial

as someone who has spent a lot of time in MH trying to be a psychic greatsword badass this gif and others like it definitely drummed up my interest in DD. But from reading about the game it seems like Assassin is the overwhelming favorite. Regardless, class switching is apparently encouraged so I'll try everything.

Nah son, my pawn was warrior for most of the game, and seeing her demolish a stronger version of the enemy in that gif -by herself- was one of the most satisfying things I saw in the game.
Warrior is badass as fuck.

It was a beautiful battle, but describing it would be a slight spoiler.

The music is unpacked so no problem (it's literally "Coils_of_Light.sngw"), but yeah the voices are a puzzle I don't know about yet.

Well, even if they can be replaced the files aren't something you can distribute around without breaking copyright, so there's that. I'd just like to know if it's possible using my own PS3 disc.

I hope the modding community embraces this game and adds to the Berserk stuff that it already has. Zodd? Band of Hawk stuff? Bring it on!

CAD$40 after I played CAD$30 for DD:DA and didn't touch it on my PS3.

That's a tough-to-swallow double dip but I will probably do it because I am weak.

I was playing this last night on ps3. It got a little rough but was still enjoyable. Took about 30 minutes to get my bearings but after that i felt comfortable.

That brings me to my question for those playing on PC. Did Capcom fix any of the UI? I think that's the worst part. Its just difficult to manage the menus and inventory etc. I just dont feel like the Dual shock was built to handle this game

So if I'm going assassin, what class should I make my pawn? I think I did a mage on the ps3 but my brain was adled when I played that version anyways so fresh start here.

Mage would be your best bet for the free heals. Assassin means you'll do a lot of physical damage, but you'll take a lot of damage too. Especially magic.

Of course you don't have to. In fact, a major draw about Assassin and its augments is how deadly they are alone. High risk, high reward type stuff. Just keep well stocked on items if you dont.

Went online looking for some press impressions, and saw a ton of newb channels with commented gameplay and though "Holy shit this leaked didn't it. . ."

Remember, $22.50 at GMG!

I was going to try to get Nuuvem to work, but that's worth the extra 7 bucks for no hassle purchase.

55 on mine have it, although almost 100 want it. Get on it, people!

They're not going to get it for that much better than $22.50 anytime soon. That really is a no-brainer.

This game probably had the worst performance of any game in recent memory I sunk a ton of time into, but I enjoyed it enough to put up with it. I can't wait to play this game running full screen and smoothly, even if I only dabble in it again every now and then.

I really hope this does well.
