Dragon's Dogma |OT| For the night is dark and full of terrors

You can be klepto. You just can't attack people and I guess go into the duke's place at night.

Ah okay that explains it, I was shooting that damn Pip boy when he was running away, next time I'll grab him and toss him off a bridge to soften the 5k bribe.

for sure. the name "everfall" and the 10 million G achievement now making sense... i will be farming all day, maybe i'll take riza hawkeye again.

Hehe, for sure. You're going to need her Ice Affinity and High Gicel for Everfall. :)
She has High Bolide too if you happen to run into the
Wyrm
.

Level 50 now with post-game upgraded equipment.

You guys think this will get a sequel?

Were there any MT Framework Capcom games this gen that didn't get a sequel?

If Lost Planet 2 can get a sequel, Dragon's Dogma better get one; except, don't hand it off to a Western studio. I want the team who worked on this to improve upon what they've created.

I hope the 7ish scores didn't scare off Capcom. They have to make a sequel, they just have to. ;-;

But if it sells at least 1 million, then we have a chance.

It ruins the image but I am glad the pawns take that initiative because there are times where I am going towards the Medium weight and my Warrior pawn can carry tons of stuff before he is even going near the Light weight.

You guys are killing me over here. I am dying for some playtime again. It has been 5 days already.

There is definitely demand for high-level Ranger pawns. My pawn is earning around 30,000 Rift Crystals per hour no prob at this point. Every time I sleep at an inn she's returning from a jaunt or two.

In spite of the popularity there are surprisingly few of them though, and the number of them that have it maxed is smaller still.

thanks. is bluemoon tower any good in post game, the way through bandit valley... i only go if i have to O,o

I've met two of them,
one due north of Gran Soren on the road running past Windbluff Tower and one on the fields just southwest of Gran Soren. The latter actually ambushed me while I was first on my way from Cassardis to Gran Soren. Bit of an unpleasant surprise, that.

So while I really like this game I am having massive issues with it. I am Level 17 now and have done the first few story quests but since I got to Gran Soren I am stuck.

I have taken about 15 quests. Everything off the Pawn and Alehouse boards and a couple of quests from the the knight in the noble quarter. Every quest I try to do seems to involve me getting my arse handed to me as soon as I try to get to the destination. I have reassigned my skills for me as a Strider and my Mage Pawn and hired two more pawns a few levels above me but still I continue to die.

I tried one of escort quests but got destroyed time and again by bandits trying to get to the location on the map. That same location was required for a second quest I attempted but again could. I have been travelling exclusively in daylight (unless the night is forced on me) but every route I have tried has resulted in eventual death.

I don't think I am bad at combat or anything but I just feel unable to progress. The only stretch of the map I have managed to traverse successfully is the road between the first town and Gran Soren. Equipment for the most part is upgraded to 2 star or better after purchasing the best the vendor had to offer. Do I just suck at this game Gaf? :(

Those bandits are REALLY tough for the point in the game you're at. It's really best to try to avoid them for now, or at least the Fighter ones. Besides them, though, what are you having trouble with? When I was Lv. 17 I was taking out Ogres (I died a LOT in the process, though, so it's not like I'm saying it was easy or anything :lol), so it all just kinda depends on your skill, I guess. Another thing would be your party setup. You absolutely have to have a healer, and if you're a Strider, you should probably have a Warrior around as a tank as well. Also consider another class, if Strider isn't working out for you. Early on, it's a bit of a weak class, so don't hesitate to try out another if you feel like you need to.

I haven't really seen anything else other than bandits, goblins, wolves and Harpies. I stumbled upon a dungeon and couldn't make a dent in the Skeletons in the first area so marked it to come back later. I did see a Cyclops on the beach near a castle but was again taken out by bandits before I got near him.

I have my main Pawn acting as healer and weapon damage buffer (fire), a second mage focusing on magic damage and a Warrior with a giant ass hammer who wades into the frontline. I have been relying mostly on bow skills and staying out of the melee as much as I can afford.

I have tried to avoid the bandits but they are spread all over the route and once one spots you 6 swarm and its an onslaught. Its the shield bearing armoured ones that are giving me the issues. Moving off the beaten track last night to try to sneak round found me an invisible lizard man of some kind and instant death.

Honestly, fucking Amazon.

They dispatched this game last Thursday, and its still not here. I ordered a book on the other hand on Monday, and it arrived today.

So I was fighting the Ur Dragon and then he was just like "later guys!" and flew off.

What was that about?

Also why are there pawns that attack you at the start of the fight?

Pawns are
under his control

I also imagine he just gets bored

I found it right across the river while heading to Blue Moon. Not even past the northern fort. Didn't even bother going back all the way to bluemoon though

Can't wait to get back to it today. Last night was an epic trek from Gran Soren towards the Shadowfort without a clue as to which was the right route to take. Miraculously I only get KO'd once when a Chimera jumps me near a mob of saurians, and I survive a truly epic battle of attrition with the bandit clan in the old fort, eventually arriving at the destination 3 game days after setting out. Twas awesome!

Of course first run at the mission itself doesn't go well - I did not expect a combo of Goblins with arbelests and two friggin' cyclops! Trusty Brutalitops (my pawn) does a man's job of picking up my sadly underlevelled mage-pawns for hire and bringing them back into revival range (including hilariously throwing one down from a high ledge to me), but despite moving the fight into a sheltered area I get unlucky and get double-whacked by one of the cyclops.

Totally epic. Loving it.

I'm a level 15 Strider that gets wiped out by basically every bandit group I come across.

Am I just super under leveled or am I missing something fundamental? I like this game, I'd just love to not die all the time.

Just spent an age trying to find the perfect Mage pawn for what I need until I finally find one that's just right. So I summon him and he's a weird lookin' little dwarf man. *sigh* lol, I love this game.

So I spent hours traveling to and clearing Bluemoon Tower for the quest and came out again with no loot I can use. I'm getting so tired of using the same shit for 25 levels. Where is a freaking good longbow at?

I love the design and exploration you can do in the dungeons and world, but there is never anything good in the hidden chests, it sucks.

I've had that happen to me when they run out of copies. After a week or so, they finally send out an email detailing that they're out of stock and they refund you the amounts soon after.

Is there no store nearby where you can snatch it up?

Come back later...it's normal...I tried for 1 hour last evening to do the Grimoire quest thing at the camp...I was doing fine going up there killing some small packs of them but when I reached the quest marker, there is just too many there and I kept dying...around level 15 Fighter also, with Jarek that is 21,a mage that is 18 and my Pawn(Strider).

The quest structure and tracking and all for this is pretty bad,my only gripe with the game, well except some awful cut scenes texture wise...

you're not missing anything - bandits groups can be hell (as's been mentioned a number of times in the thread). often best to just avoid / run past them early on...

I am explicitly on my way to a bandit base and this particular encampment is right in the way.

I've tried tackling this combat scenario in a number of different ways, but either they all surround me (they outnumber my team about 2:1) or they kill all my pawns and then surround me.

I think I spent over an hour clearing out the Quarry near Gran Soren (the shortcut to the South).

I learned two things during my battles in there:
1. Ogres really like women (poor support mage)
2. My main Pawn is a badass tank who takes no damage

Also hired a Ranger for the first time. Guy is a beast.

Kill the snipers and mages first, then deal with the fighters/warriors, I didn't really run into any super bandits through out, even though some were jerks, just go back to them later if you're having trouble or if they're one shotting you or something

Rygar 8 Bit

Jaguar 64-bit
Also might help you to go to town and switch your vocation to warrior so you can nab that reduce damage augment then switch back to strider you'll be able to take big hits and not get that hurt

Is there any way to edit your character's appearance later in the game or not?

Barber shop in the starting town and the city.

I always manage to be the last post on a page and no one sees it.

I need loot for a ranger, I've been using the same shit for 25 levels now. I cleared out Bluemoon Tower and got nothing I can use, where the fuck do I go for loot?
