Dragon's Dogma |OT| For the night is dark and full of terrors

Great, shops still have the updated loot in NG+. There's also new notice board quests that give you a ton of gold.

Whew. That was my main worry about NG+. Now I can safely end the game tonight!

Just need under 1000 RC to buy the item with which I can infinitely change the looks of my character and pawn, but no one is using my pawn. :(

So whjen you guys say "post game", are you referring to
everything after you beat the dragon and wake up in Cassardis with every enemy MUCH stronger than they used to be?
Because Im there right now and its awesome.

I'll hire your pawn if he/she's not over level 69!

Its so good.
WHen I first left Cassardis and saw those goblins running about, I just ran up to beat on them like I always did and they didnt die so quickly. 5 minutes later, Im on my way to Gran Soren and Im being destroyed by hell hounds.

Go back to previous dungeons and see what new enemy variations inhabit them! There's also the everfall to get lost in for quite a bit.

So the alternate endings are sort of cool. I don't want to spoil it for you guys, but it's worth a look so you don't miss out since they're easily missed.

You gotta love the how darkness plays such a strong role in the game. Makes me wish I had a huge OLED.

Wow, nice to see the 360 version doing so well. I've seen quite a few Pawns from Japanese Players (Kana-Playertags)...

Any ideas if this game will still be fun when picked up for a budget price a few weeks/months down the road? Will there still be fun with regard to the pawn system or will they all be too high-leveled / expensive? Apparently this ur-dragon thingy keeps getting stronger...

I really want to play this game but I have no time or money for it at the moment...

At worst you'll have to hire the game's random roaming pawns or the official ones from the developers. I haven't reached the Ur-Dragon yet, so I have no idea how that works.

So I got the DLC quests, but I have no idea how I get them?

I heard you go to the pawn guild noticeboard, but I went there over the course of a few days and no quests are posted there at all. I just finished the Griffin's Bane quest, not sure if that effects when those show up or not.

Honestly my biggest concern with this doing well is the fact that Capcom's track record over the last 3 decades is milking every IP into the ground.

But if we get 2 or 3 more good titles out of this, I have to think it's worth it.

There are two notice boards in the pawn guild. The one for DLC quests is down the stairs near the entrance to Everfall.

I died once on that journey and I was infuriated by the time I got past the mountains. Hellhounds are fucking annoying.

Luckily, with my Ur-Dragon loot and going back to Mystic Knight they're not much of a problem anymore. The sigil just stuns the shit out of them and I ice enchant my party.

Still, those fuckers are annoying >_<

So to add more to my loot frustrations, I cleared Soulflayer last night, every nook and cranny of it.

Came out again with no loot I can use as a ranger, it's getting really fucking lame. The merchant finally did update with new daggers and a bow, but they are hardly an improvement.

so, i am in postgame at conquerer's sanctuary:

instead of two cyclops, there waits a drake (11 HP bars).
It dropped 2x
Drake's Tear.
the description says:
"the wondrous liquid of a dragon's eye. Collect it from each species and you may alter the rewards from defeated foes."

Anybody know what that means? And how i can make profit else than selling?

They're pretty obvious, they'll usually be in a sentence compared to side quests which say collect stuff or kill a certain amount of monsters.

I'm concerned simply because I've been reading how advancing the main story can lock you out of certain quests. Probably too early to be concerned about it but right now I have two quests that seem important.

Super early spoiler

I have the quests to either find Qina (sp?) in the woods or go visit the Duke.

Hey guys I just have a quick question.
It says if I pick up this last quest from the duke I lose access to my current quests.. Does that include the hunt and escort quests or just the main story quests. I just have the kill 15 snakes and 3 golems left in my queue.

Also does that mean there won't be anymore quests to pick up from the boards if I start the dukes last quest?

There are 3 species of dragon apparently.

Drake, Wyvern, and Wyrm.

Though I've never fought a wyrm though, unless it's referring to THE Wyrm.

Apparently it will make rare drops more frequent?

I don't know.

If you carry one of each of those on your person it supposedly allows for more drops(I think mainly wakestones/curatives, but it could be weapons/armor as well).

it was a drake, same as at devilfire grove, only more health.

edit: thx. i don't even know if i have wyrm-/wyvern tears... mmh

You'll know when the quests will be forfeited, they'll tell you.

I suggest finding her first.

I'm enjoying the game even more in NG+ :lol This stupid game. I usually never replay a game, much less after just beating. I planted a few port crystals around Gransys already and loving the quick travel to any area of importance.

A few? How do you get so many? Can you purchase them in NG+?

Farming ur-Dragons. All day, 'erry day!

I'm currently on my seventh lol

EDIT: Anybody know on which floor of the Everfall can one find a wyrm?

I just decided to see what this Ur-Dragon thing was all about. Went in and it had no health at all. I wasn't sure what to do, but I attacked all the glowing spots and sure enough it died.

Ugh... How did I end up romancing Ser Maximilian? On new game+ I am going to give presents like crazy to Selene and Mercedes. Some of the cutscenes just felt random with him in them.

Does the dragon in Devilsfire dragonforge armor if you beat him?

I was sick of the Chimeric set but thats was I was wearing when I beat the game last night...ended up with a dragonforged set now. After returning to Gran Soren, I bought the full set of the newest best set and upgraded as much as I can but its still giving me 19 less defense than the dragon forged Chimeric so I want to dragonforge the new stuff.

Are the quest rewards at least good? I wonder if it's leading up to anything.

I have all 100 of them. I got up to about 87 before I went to NG+. I was hoping to get all 100 of them in my first play through but I went too far in the story for a couple of them. I don't think it leads up to anything...

The rewards are 800-2400 (most of them 800) rift crystals per quest and 1000 xp
