I'd like to know this as well. From what I understand there aren't private races but can you do club vs club or race within your club?

That can't be right. You don't have to join a club, you can be a free agent, I don't believe you can't access online without being in a club.

if you mean the ps+ version then no. the ps+ version can not be preloaded anywhere. Not quite sure what you mean by ps+ upgrade.

One of the things I really liked from my hands on was the ability to contribute to your club without ever having to go online.
All "Fame" points you earn contribute to your club total. Sure, it may be that online racing earns more points per race, but even being an offline player means you help your club. That's incredibly smart of Evo as a lot of folks find online gaming intimidating.
Another awesome point is that due to the in-race challenges, there's always something to aim for. Yeah, you might be dead last in a 6 v 6 race but you can still end up massively contributing to your club by beating the in-race challenges. Again, that's incredibly smart.
I only played DC for 90 mins the other night, but the reward system is really well thought out. Don't get me wrong, DC doesn't reward you just for the hell of it. You still have to earn your reward but it's just that there's many ways you can do that in a race.

That is the full game upgrade from "free" PS+ ed.
I was charged for the "upgrade" aka full version today and expect to be able to preloadvery soon.
What I understand is that you can't preload the "free" PS+ ver, but full game aka "upgrade" you can.

ah kk yeah so the full game buy I would assume works the same as any digital buy. Should be able to preload ... (I haven't don't it myself so dunno but lots of ppl seem to have done it in this thread.)

I've received a tonne too. Although, for some reason I'm a bit apprehensive about adding someone with a trophy level of zero with no games played. Are these people who haven't bought their PS4 yet but are planning on getting one with this game?

Going to really be disappointing if I can't see a couple friends online and do some races with them.
if you only have one PS4, you need a US PSN account (easy to set up, just google it) and then set your PS4 as that account's primary console. Set a fake US address based in Oregon so no sales tax. Then you can play while logged in with your UK account.
Main problem is buying it. You can try using your credit card, but you might be better off buying PSN cards and topping your account up. I think best buy.com sell PSN cards online and email you the code, or you can use amazon but it is a two step process because they may not sell you cards directly.
If using Amazon, add a US address to your address book and set to default (you can set it back again later). Then buy an amazon gift voucher for the amount, send it to your email address and redeem it, then buy PSN cards with that credit (so it doesn't check your credit card).
sounds more complicated than it really is - doesn't take long.

Because thats how Sony rolls yo. I hope to god they are advertising in Europe though, because I have seen jack shit in the US on DC, hell you can barely find anything on PSN about DC it is really disheartening.
Oh and I must say the Driveclub-Gaf friend idea whoever thought it up deserves a cookie. I think I got added by 25+ people and I hope all you guys at least get the Plus version so I have people to race. Personally I am going to get Plus and if I like it totally going to upgrade.

and that's a lot more than 50$. Now it's exactly right. 50$ = 40 euro.
I hope a lot of people on Plus see the game and end up upgrading if they like it. I have not seen one ad for this game yet so I was surprised it's coming out Tuesday. It looks amazing though so I hope people are still as hungry for something to play so the sales are good.
The advertising is so pervasive in the UK, that I literally forgot this game was coming out this week until I stumbled across the GAF thread last week.
Haven't seen it advertised once, though I'm not a huge consumer of other media formats so I'm not the best example.
