Anyway, can we not take up the thread with pointless drama? This is usually a very positive thread with a tight community. It's silly to get worked up with over a guy who doesn't even have an account here.
Yes, he sounds salty in that PSN message but if he's a nice guy like Knavish said, then he probably is. But if he's got an issue with kie25 posting videos to this thread then he's gonna have to get over it. There's plenty of great players on DC and Kie is one of them, the fact that he posts tutorials/guides is even better.

Yes multiplayer racing is good but I do mine on project as for me that's the more realistic game for racing, not saying Driveclub ain't fun for multiplayer racing as it is, but project is more for me when it comes to racing. Driveclub for me is about time trials and the tours I get my fix by nailing a lap. By the way my argument is not with you it's with him being childish and bitter sending messages on psn, he needs to grow up that's all I'm saying I never once mentioned button in a bad way untill he sent that.
Agreed I've watched videos I racing wish I had a pc to play it, hopefully Asseto Corsa will be good on ps4 next year, project is good but still no I racing from what I've seen.
I have to point out redcommao didn't say them things that was someone in here making up lies, redcammeo is a good guy.

I remember that and the GAFer in question (who has since disappeared from DC threads) was misrepresenting what redcommao wrote, presumably in order to incite DC GAF to take down his times.
No other company has the constant funding and infrastructure to create a healthy online experience that encourages no wrecking/unfair play and good sportsmanship. AC is more of a hot-fap-simulator right now on PC and very little play it online due to it's various issues with netcode and so on.
You can run iRacing even on a mediocre PC quite well so it doesn't cost that much to get hardware to run it.
Sims like rFactor 2 or AC do physics in certain fields better than iRacing, but i think that while they deliver a slightly better driving experience, the racing experience is nearly non-existant online... and.. well i'll rather race than just drive

Random event function is pretty neat, but I think it could be improved:
- add some options (event types, countries, car class, difficulty, weather)
- when a random event is over, have a button to generate the next random event (at best with the same settings you had previously)

Just got that audio bug where it clips and then goes silent. Never had it before or in any other game.

It is one of my favourite features that I didn't really know I wanted. I think an options for it would be good that allows you to select/deselect certain things such as event types, modes, faceoffs, and even allowing tour events to appear in it.

It isn't random if you start having options for it....
What you want is Random on individual Single Event settings.

Some people like myself don't like drift events, they aren't that bad but I like how random event picks everything for you and usually to settings I wouldn't pick myself such as the car and tracks but I'd prefer not to get Drift events if given the option. There are probably people who dislike racing in the wet or dark but are happy with everything else, or perhaps they really dislike specific cars and would prefer to avoid them if it is going to be a four lap race at night in heavy rain. All the races seem to be at the difficulty of Semi-Pro and I'd like that to fluctuate a bit more but there are probably some people that are happy with that. As long as it is something like "press square for random event options" it won't get in the way and just make it better for the people who do use that feature.

For sure I get you might not like some things it gives you, but then if you add options it isn't random.
This is funny, the very first random event I got was a drift event at night with heavy rain and I immediately thought "wish I could exclude drift events from this"
.Do we really need to talk about the definition of random now !? I don't see why we could have an instant random event option AND a random event option with some parameters changed by the user.

Let me put the GAF straight on this, I have spoken to DJW about this whole situation and he has informed me (you all think DJW is a stand up guy and wouldnt lie about anything) that Kie has indeed talked shit about Button to DJ before so this is not an isolated incident. But Button didnt run around the internet posting crap about you on Neogaf or twitter looking for sympathy. Are you actually upset because we wanted to kick you out of the True Talent team?

so after playing the free ps+ version, I bought a second hand copy of the full retail (disc) version for £10!
My question is, if i want to keep my profile, do I just pop in the disc and let it install - or do I need to delete the ps+ data (game data not saved games) and then pop in the disc.
Essentially I don't want duplicate game data taking up room on the HDD.

I'm not sure as I have the digital version but the game data and sava data are two separate things. So you should be able to install from disk and delete the plus version and your profile data should remain the same.

Is a GOTY version with all DLC in the works? They've dropped the price of the full version (excl. DLC) on PSN, but wanted to wait to see if they would release a version with DLC?

I knew drafting in that opening stretch was the only way of doing it but I jus kept getting bumped off the road by the AI. Oh well, it's done now.
Yeah, i might have gotten lucky. I nearly fell asleep driving that final tour event on Velocity though. Too damn slow.

Nearly done with the horsepower pack , the cars are MAGNIFICENT.
Both ferrari are like , lions that need to be tamed and the new renault is actually very fun to drive with.

Anyone noticing more jaggies and pop in since the latest update? Barely ever noticed pop in before, but now I'm noticing it fairly often, along with more environmental jaggies on things like railings etc more too. Can anyone else chime in?

I have notice that too.
Managed a 2.09.193 on Goshodaira with the McLaren P1 GTR, which is a touch faster than I managed with the Koenigsegg One:1. Not suggesting it's a faster car overall, but it's definitely up there as one of the new fastest for sure. Not having nearly as much luck with the LaFerrari FXX. I just find it is slower to brake, and also suffers from some understeer.
