I know its quite early to talk about E3, but I am excited for this one like no other E3. The announcement of Microsoft and Sonys next consoles are long overdue. This is probably the longest console generation ever. Seeing the next consoles unveiled will cause crazy meltdowns on GAF. Not only just the hardware but software and how the OS and the online are for both new consoles. And of course the launch games for both consoles. I am sure Nintendo will have some great software to show to counter the new console announcements.

This isn't true at all. This E3 we're seeing new consoles.
I don't care about that, I'm more interested in new cnsoles&IPs.
I hope to see Watch Dogs again in an even more impressive state.

I don't know. Nintendo has now Nintendo Directs and they can't really 'win' E3 because of the other 2 consoles.

This is unquestionably the longest console generation ever.
In many ways, that was a good thing, after seeing all of the advances made with regard to online game networks, online services, and firmware updates over the course of the last few years. While there's still some life left in the current generation systems, I'd still like to see what's next.

The cycle has gotta be broken eventually though. Hopefully enough of the consoles are actually shown for it to be worth the wait. I have a funny feeling we'll all be saying 'nexr year will be the best yet because they'll have more to show than just target renders on early hardware'...
