That weird showing of a woman playing an instrument live with a videogame trailer playing behind her is exactly what I normally expect from E3. That's what surprised me most about Microsoft's approach. They did what we've been asking for all along.

Whether or not the games were impressive or whether there was too much CG is a legitimate debate, but I'm just talking about the approach of only showing games. None of the stupid over-the-top presentations.
