E3 2014 | Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3 [ it's over :( ]

The game would benefit even more with vertical scrolling. Any chances that this will be the first of a series? I'd love to see a Mario Maker with assets of SMB, SMB3 and SMW.

Level size seems pretty limited in this version. Enemy types limited too.

I still love games that let you build.

I'll be buying it day one. Love creating content.

I honestly think the key thing they have failed to mention in this stream, or something that people are not realizing, is that Miyamoto's projects are not final games. From what I can tell, they are simply gameplay concepts that Miyamoto and his team hope to implement into future titles. If they become full fledged games, then obviously Miyanoto will upend tea tables until the games have that typical Nintendo magic.

Haha at Tezuka killing himself.

If that is the case then that would change a huge amount of what I thought of that section. And if that's the case then they should have made that very clear when those 'games' were announced and revealed. It was a really, really poor section as they presented it.

We must have watched different streams because they made it explicitly clear multiple times that they were very early concept demos, Miyamoto was even embarrassed to be showing them off.

That hand being visible on the screen makes me think you'll be able to edit a level on the fly on the Gamepad while your friend plays the game on the TV.

This game looks fun. I never like to create stuff due to mostly laziness but I'll dab into this but I know the community will go nuts with this.

I love that the art style can be changed. I would like to see SMB 3 art style be available.

Fair point. If I'm wrong, I will eat crow.

My only defense of that section is that they must have an urgent desire to show how the gamepad can be better utilized by developers and that Nintendo is looking into expanding the gamepad experience. I personally found the concept interesting enough for them to demonstrate, but they could have better introduced it to the audience.

Wow, I watched that section and didn't hear that. I had my volume down quite a bit, and missed a couple sections here and there.

Why on earth would you show that stuff off? Reminds me of Mighty Number 9. (Granted that's Kickstarter, but still) I don't want to see concepts or work in progress. Show me something near completion.

Miyamoto was right, it was embarrassing. Keep the work-in-progress in-office please.
