E3 2014 | Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3 [ it's over :( ]

Duuuude, E.T go home written on the bullet and what sounded like full voice acting during the game. Looked a lot better in motion too.

But... I really do want it. Genuinely.
I love super hero comics, I LOVE Fire Emblem/Advance Wars/XCom and I really like what I've heard of the soundtrack and the character design so far.

I love super hero comics and Fire Emblem too, and I think the character design is at least decent. But I think you're kidding yourself if you think these actually look like Silver Age comic designs.

An aesthetically unpleasing Valkyria Chronicles made by IS.

Sure, it's possible that they just happened to want to make this game that's crammed with things that they would think are popular outside of Japan such as American comics, third person shooters, and steampunk design. But as Intelligent System's first turn-based strategy to follow the massive success story (compared to previous Emblems) that was FE:A? Hmm.

God damn you are acting so salty right now.

Yep, just like with Splatoon this was a clear and intentional move to cater to western players. Nintendo's getting more aggressive, can't blame them with those sales.

I hope they explain Smash Run.

Yeah, I think we didn't have enough information about it, they really need to do an in-depth explanation.

I think the slow pace of the presentation was a pretty poor way of handling the game's first impression for players. It took a while to get to the gameplay, and even that was played at a very slow pace while being talked over constantly by the developer and interpreter. Game looks better in motion and at the proper resolution, though.

Yep, after FE:A I was impatiently waiting for IntSys' next game and this failed to meet the expectations. It may be good but it's not really what I'd want.
