E3 2015 Predictions & Discussion thread

time to talk about softwares and supports, or lack of
All they really need is to show DOAXBV3FFVIIR, really
 
Why are you guys worrying about Sony showing off VR in a way that goes against everything they've been doing since they announced it. Theres been 5 conferences that they've shown it at and all of them have them leaving the demos and playing to the show floor relying on word of mouth while quickly talking about some specs and details. This isn't going to change. They aren't going to have a half-hour segment of people dancing around wearing headsets on stage at E3. They've already said that conferences and live demonstration don't work well to show off VR and they have to rely on showing it on the floor and getting word of mouth.

You could say that about any game being presented. You can only watch it and imagine how it would feel to experience playing the game. Same thing here. They're not going to be able to convey the 'magic' of VR but they can show off gameplay as well as any other game imo.

That's true in regards to QB, I've totally forgotten about it I think mostly because of how little interest I had when in it but it could be amazing. I was responding to someone who gets super excited about the exact same games as the last generation + Scalebound, which doesn't sound interesting to me. If U4 wasn't the final Uncharted game from NG, my hype for that game would extremely minimal compared to many other games.

Then again, I'm in the minority since we all know how much people love to play the shit out of sequels. I like both sides of the coin in terms of new IP/sequels though don't get me wrong.

I'm with you, man. I'm already bored of E3. I'm serious.

I'm not even interested in this year. I've written it off. (I mean, I'll still play some games that I really want to play, but it's basically written off, basically.) I'm all about next year. The year of Uncharted 4.

People keep saying this, but I have seen no confirmation of it.

I refuse to believe Naughty Dog is done with Uncharted. I don't think they will pump out 3 games in a generation again(nor do I want them to), but I think it will be revisited.

It isn't any different than when demoing regular games. The audience is also just watching and not experiencing the game themselves.

I guess it could work. I just don't want to see a bunch of demos of people looking around like you see in a lot of VR demos.

Idk. I can relate to a gameplay trailer being more so than I can seeing ONE person immersed in a VR world.

It's tough to sell VR and it's hard to do in the realm of a press conference. Best thing they can do is mention it at the conference. Show titles being made and give a release window/price. Then have people demo it on the show floor and give impressions.

Do you like it better than XII? Because if not, then you're basically just talking about the XIII games. XII came out in 2006 though, so I get it.
 
All this talk about possible JRPG announcements has me exited!

Keeping my fingers crossed for a PS4 Kingdom Hearts HD collection, Level 5's new game and a release date for P5 (2015 please!). Anything extra would be icing on the cake.

More than pretty much anything else I am really hoping to see a new mainline Dragon Quest console title revealed. It's been too damn long. T_T

-bloodborne DLC
-scalebound gameplay
-Halo 5

Sony has the yearly PSX now, things changed.

Not expecting anything major, extended 3rd party showcases.

TLG, GT7, etc ... might as well wait for the apocalypse.

Nintendo will announce Melee HD.

Jk, more Smash 4 DLC that I wish I could be excited for.

Honestly though, I haven't been excited by game announcements for over a year. Really hoping to see the announcement of some great unique concepts or returning Japanese properties. Star Ocean 5 and Deus Ex are the most recent announcements I'm pretty hyped about, but a new Katamari like game, in terms of quirkiness is what I'm looking for.

If I were them I'd cancel it or tell people it was canceled and make a similar game with the same resources later. There's no way it can live up to the hype it has now.
 
I legitimately believe we are going to get an F-Zero announcement this year from Nintendo. It'll be a new game either for the Wii U or for NX. With that announcement will come a sale of F-Zero games on virtual console.

I am not even slightly joking about this

I'd settle with F-Zero GX HD with the arcade tracks and online support. That game was amazing! Nostalgia isn't speaking either, I just played it like 3 or 4 months ago.
 
Shiet, how far along is the hype train coming? I don't know if I can hop on yet, just finished exams, played some GTA O. I want to start getting hyped, still not sure if I should buy a PS4 prior to E3 or the day after. Hmmmm

I predict Fallout 4 will come out this year. Maybe December, to maximize the marketing hype machine time period.
