E3 2015 Predictions & Discussion thread

The obvious '2016' AAA line-up candidate so far, imo is :
- Gears 4 (announced this year/or next)
- Forza Horizon 3 (announced next year)
- Crackdown
- Scalebound
- Quantum Break
- Halo : ODST/Reach port
- Assortment of smaller-scope titles like Ori, Screamride, Dance Central, etc.
Anything other than the above would be a 'surprise' to me.
So I don't know how I ended up back in the old playstation meeting thread, but the page I got linked to had this gif in it from a cancelled game by Bizarre.
Man, somebody has to step up and create something like this again for these consoles... I wonder if there'll be anything like this at E3 this time around.

There was a stage demo at PSX, but yeah it's porbably going to be there.

I would guess the unity game is a Battletoads download only game. Excited to see what the AAA game is. Hoping for Banjo Kazooie to add to the 3D platformer renaissance.

Thus that Rare game will be a 'surprise' for me.
Because I don't know what to expect from the non-KS current Rare.
That's why I list Gears 4 and Forza Horizon 3 an 'non-surprises', because as pretty as they'll be, they'll still be a Gears and Forza game.

I hope we see Guerrilla Cambridge's game this year. KZ Mercenary was favorite game of 2013, and I'd even settle for just a PS4 version of it

I wonder if Killzone Cambridge will possibly be influenced by the array of FPSs in recent memory that's chasing after that 'vertical movement' market.

What? Really? Never heard anything about this.
I dont doubt that they have suprises, but i doubt that they have any big suprises (Titanfall big). And yes, thats beacuse they are second with almost half of the sales. There are still a lot of cool games they can announce, with up and coming studios, but i dont see studios like EA, Ubisoft, Bethesda, Capcom giving them exclusives.

They're still going to have their European conference, it's just going to take place at Paris Games Week instead of gamescom.

This is absolutely no surprise whatsoever. It's in the same vein of how there's games like Halo MCC, Halo Spartan Assault, etc.
A hiring for an external producer in 343 to 'manage' external development of Halo spin-offs by other studios has always been a thing.
It's like how Sony Santa Monica technically has multiple games/projects at one time, even though they only have one internal team.

Yeah but that's in November, which is a long time before showing other western games since June, so i hope E3 will make up for it.
Yea you're gonna need to supply a source. You can't go making claims nobody else has heard about and not back them up.

Honestly that job description ("your development partner") makes it sound like the position is to oversee an external developers halo related project more than an internal developed title. It could be a game or it could be a multimedia project of some kind but the wording makes it seem like the position at 343 would be solely supervising other developers similar to what was seen with all the external devs involved with MCC.
A lot of this is news to me. So twisted pixel is going AAA from the sounds of it, I hope they are ready.

Oh I thought Black Tusk was just a new team with a mix of developers hired by Microsoft. That's a shame I wanted a big new Epic IP similar to that tech Demo they showed a few years back.
Epic have been quiet for a while now, heard nothing from them. I think they've been focussing on engine development no?
Nah they've been working on a new Unreal Tournament game. I think the plan is for it to be free to play or something.

Until Dawn & Quantic Dream's next title to have Morpheous support. As well as Soma, Tacoma and Everyone's Gone to Rapture. With Rapture & Until Dawn's support to be patched in later.

They are a new team, I have no idea what that guy is talking about.
You know, I thought I read about a year ago that Epic had three projects in the works: Fortnite, a mobile game, and a Triple-A project meant to be their personal showcase of UE4. I believe it was Polygon who reported it.
I suppose it's possible that the new Unreal Tournament could be the game they were referring too.

Late January, Microsoft's 2014, some 2015, and some 2016 games were leaked. Also the 1TB model (CoD console) and White SKU with Sunset Overdrive.
