E3 Conference Listed by Hype Level + (Most Anticipated part of the conference)

1. Sony (Uncharted 4 Gameplay or Trailer)
2. Bethesda (Fallout 4 Gameplay)
3. Nintendo (Anything)
4. Microsoft (Quantum Break gameplay)
5. Square-Enix (Deus Ex MD Gameplay)
6. EA (SW Battlefront Gameplay)
7. Ubisoft (Whatever New Title they reveal at the end)
8. PC Gaming *Shoulder shrug*

Should be pretty easy to please my hype this year, anything else is revealed or announced is icing on the cake for me.

Some of you really overestimate Type-0's appeal. The comparison to Kingdom Hearts is very off base. It was a port of a portable game that has little draw outside of the FFXV demo, which I'm sure most casuals didn't know about.

Im pretty sure more casuals would know about FF over KH especially since we actually did have (yes they had their problems) FF games compared to 2 remastered KH collections (on the PS3) last gen.

It's definitely going to be a lackluster E3 for Nintendo.

Next year should be good as I suspect they'll show off new hardware and a proper showing of Zelda to release alongside it.

This year? Maybe a few minor surprises at best, I feel they're holding out. Nintendo tends to do this - have a good E3 followed by a few mediocre ones.

In terms of my super realistic expectations of what I'd get to play this year, I'm already pre-satisfied. Gears, halo 5, and uncharted collection, with NMS, until dawn, and tearaway, not bad.

Give me metroid please I'm begging

loool no way Gears will release this year

We get to see a good alpha this year if we are lucky; Halo 5 this fall, Gears fall 2016 is my prediction.

If they're already outsourcing beta testing, it's possible.

Halo 5 is late October so I don't expect them to go the next two months just releasing nothing at all. A Gears remaster would slot in well there.

Ooooooooh, you are talking about the remaster? Yeah that one will happen this year for sure; I was thinking of the newest one.

We'll get the Gears Remaster this fall I'm betting(probably late November or early December). It might include a beta down the line.

As for me, here is my list of who I am most looking forward to:

1. Sony(mostly for the jrpg goodness, Morpheus, and possible TLG)
2. Microsoft(Scalebound, Rare's game, Crackdown)
3. EA(Mass Effect 4 and hopefully some info on the non-Battlefront Star Wars games)
4. Bethesda(Fallout 4 demo and Dishonored 2)
5. Nintendo(I love my WiiU, but I'm not expecting much from them this year. Hope they prove me wrong).
6. SquareEnix(Kingdom Hearts 3 info pls, also hell yes Deus Ex)
7. Ubisoft(unless they whip out Beyond Good and Evil 2, I don't care so much anymore).
8. PC(meh)

My list:

1. Sony.
Probably all over the place, but Uncharted 4, Rime, Horizon and Bloodborne DLC alone would be untouchable for me.
2. Microsoft.
Scalebound gameplay, Rare reveal.
3. Square-Enix
Deus Ex, Hitman
4. Nintendo
Star Fox
5. Ubisoft
None of their games interest me all that much, but they do know how to make a pretty decent conference.
6. EA
Sports bit is so boring. But interested in Mirror's Edge 2.
7. Bethesda
Shit time for me in Europe. Doom could be cool, but it's probably mostly about Fallout, a series with pretty shitty gameplay.
8. PC
No expectations for this at all.

The problem with this line of thinking is that you're equating mainline FF games to Type-0. The two are hardly the same in terms of appeal. Spinoffs generally sell a lot less than mainline games.

If anyone here also loves nerding Rare news as much as me (I doubt it), here is an interesting read on what their projects might be with some digging around: https://www.reddit.com/r/games/comments/34ptzo/a_complete_timeline_of_rumors_and_official/

Also, many Rare employees are tweeting about how hyped they are. Like this dude right here: https://twitter.com/Gamerboss/status/606987530446241792

8 long days remain, but god damn I'm hyped!!

The issue is that Rare is no longer Rare. It's effectively a different company to what we knew it as in the Nintendo days. A different company with a pretty bad track record.

I wish them well though, their downfall seemed to be basically all Microsoft's doing.

Got a PS4 and a Wii U in the last 7 months, so will be absolutely on board for the Sony/Nintendo conferences. Bethesda will be fantastic too, DooM and Fallout 4 are my two most anticipated third party titles, easy.

I don't think their 360 games were bad actually, Nuts & Bolts and the Viva Pinatas are good games.
And Gregg Mayles is still there.

I actually suspect this will be a Nintendo off year and people should temper their expectations accordingly.
I don't know, even with a complete Zelda no show they could pull off a decent E3. A lot of Star Fox attention, Metroid from Retro, one or two huge surprises like F-Zero or something completely new, amiibo goodness, more DLC for Splatoon, Smash and MK8, some eShop delights and possibly even a glimpse of the inevitable next Mario title.

I'd say that's very much within the realms of reality, and that is a good line up.

1. Sony
2. Ubisoft
3. Microsoft
4. Bethesda
5. EA
6. Nintendo
7. Square Enix
8. PC

1. Sony.- Uncharted 4 and lot's of Nathan Drake collection footage. Gran Turismo for PS4, Metal Gear Solid V and probably a brand new IP announced
2. Ubisoft.- Don't like this guys that much but I would like them if they announce a new Rayman game ala Rayman Legends. Such a great game. Watch_Dogs 2 is 90% sure it will be announced.
3. Microsoft..- So looking forward to see Scalebound gameplay and Halo 5 stuff and of course Rare's new game.
4. Bethesda.- Fallooouuuuuuuutttt 4
5. EA.- Mirror's Edge 2 and a new Battlefield announced probably
6. Nintendo.- Star Fox, Xenoblade X, Retro Studios new game, possibly a new HD remaster and lot's of Mario Maker. Perhaps an unexpected megaton reveal like F-Zefghhhhhhhh yeah right. Nintendo would have win the show if they had bring Zelda U stuff but ugh :(
7. Square Enix .- Kindom Hearts 3??? It's time.
8. PC.- Doom 4!!!!!!!!

That's still a long time ago though. And you're ignoring the Rare games that weren't B&K/Viva.

Yeah, but they are apparently making a Banjo. I found Kameo pretty decent as well btw.
And being used to work on Kinect titles and avatars doesn't say much about their skills either.

We'll see soon enough. :)

Sony's number 1 because of No Man's Sky and Rime from what we know. They should all be interesting for new game announcements.

And I'll put an outside bet on the GT announcement thread having the most bans, if it is announced. Fanboys were falling on their swords in the DC thread to defend Forza back in 2013.

I just want a ninja game that's not Metal Gear or Ninja Gaiden.

I real stealth ninja game. Not an over the top action hack and slash ninja game.

Tenchu pls

Check Twin Souls, it's an upcoming Spanish stealth indie game about a ninja that can teleport into shadows: http://linceworks.com/

Coming to PC and next gen consoles. There's more info, screenshots and video in their FB and Twitter, TIGForums, etc. They even have a thread in GAF. Who knows, they may be in E3.

1. Nintendo They are my favorite company and I am always looking forward to see what they are doing next. Hoping for a few surprises like Retro or Next Level Games projects, a new 3rd party collaboration, and a new HD remaster to be revealed! I am also hoping for a few hints about NX from Iwata.

2. Microsoft Never owned any of their systems, but XBONE looks more appealing than PS4 for me because of the exclusives like Scalebound, Quantum Break, new Rare game(s) etc.

3. Sony their conferences are always so long and boring. I am not interested that much in Uncharted 4 or new GOW, I might just check a short re-cup of their conference.

I don't care about 3rd parties conferences, but I am hoping that Ubisoft will announce a new Prince Of Persia game and another Rayman platformer.

I don't think their 360 games were bad actually, Nuts & Bolts and the Viva Pinatas are good games.
And Gregg Mayles is still there.

Yeah to be fair both of those games showed a lot of talent, just funnelled in a direction that wasn't exactly going to set the world on fire..

Getting bought out by Microsoft usually doesn't end well.

I actually suspect this will be a Nintendo off year and people should temper their expectations accordingly.

What I expect:
-Animal Crossing Wii U joins the late 2015 roster, but is probably the only unannounced big Wii U title that will be joining it
-DLC and Amiibo plans announced for several games (definitely Smash, maybe Splatoon and Mario Kart. Perhaps Battle Frontier for Pokemon.)
-Trailers and more info for games in their great looking second half of 2015 line up
-2 or 3 big titles for early 2016 (Probably one or two of them by Retro Studios and/or Next Level Games)

1. Sony - Uncharted 4, NMS, JRPGs(Level 5 & Persona 5) possibly being on stage, possible first party announcements from GG, MM, and Bend.
2. Square - JRPGs.
3. Nintendo - Nothing specific, just really looking forward to seeing what they show this year.
4. Bethesda - Fallout 4
5. EA - Battlefront, Mirror's Edge, Mass Effect
6. MS - Scalebound and new announcements. I'm not really interested in most of their already announced games like Gears, Quantum Break, Forza, Crackdown, etc.
7. Ubisoft - New announcements
8. PC - ?

I'm hoping for some new Pikmin 3 DLC to be announced during the direct, but with all the possible DLC announcements like Splatoon/Mario Kart 8/Smash etc, I'm sadly gonna stay a little sceptical..

I dunno, man. I'd be so incredibly happy if this were true, but it looks a little bit too much like they have a planned narrative and are looking for evidence to support it. I'll happily eat crow if I'm wrong, though. I would be all up in a Banjo Threeie.

Tbh I'm not at all that hyped about this E3, not gonna get let down again lol. Might watch Sony's but that's about it, not interested in MS and I don't care about whatever Nintendo's doing.

I'm sure it's been mentioned, but I have an inkling this is the year Nintendo announces something related to Metroid. I don't have a guess as to Wii U or 3DS, but I'm thinking something will be announced.

As for Sony reveals, I expect GT and God of War at PSX, though the latter could be officially announced at E3 with a teaser.

QD's game will probably be revealed in Paris.

I expect GG's game at E3, which leaves Bend and Media Molecule. I think one of these will be at E3, the other in Paris.

My order of conferences:

  1. Sony - Guerilla's new IP, RIME, Everybody's gone to the rapture, The Tomorrow Children, The Witness, Uncharted 4, Level-5's game, Until Dawn, other things.
  2. Bethesda - Fallout 4
  3. Square Enix - JRPGs
  4. EA - Hennig's Star Wars game, Mirrors Edge
  5. Nintendo
  6. Microsoft - Quantum Break
  7. PC
  8. Ubisoft

Slim pickings overall for me this year.

Microsoft will have to go a long way to get me excited as I'm not into Halo, Gears, Forza, the NFL, Rare (with the exception of Goldeneye) or the new Fable.

Ubisoft I'm expecting a catastrophe.

Nintendo may have some nice surprises.

SquareEnix have a solid line-up of games. I'm only really interested in their Japanese output.

Sony have the most amount of games currently announced I want and given the majority of their studios are working on unannounced games, they have the most capacity to please/surprise me.

My biggest wishes to make this years E3 a success for me are:

1. Mafia III (god i love that series, even 2 had a great story and atmosphere)
2. Bloodborne DLC and if Dark Souls 3 really makes an appearance even better
3. Deus Ex and Hitman making an appearance (atleast for Hitman) and leaving a lasting
impression.

Humble wishes I hope, yet some of my favorite experiences the last couple of years.

1. Bethesda - Fallout 4, my most wanted of the newly revealed games
2. Square - Deus Ex, JRPGs, probably Hitman
3. Nintendo - Metroid, Xenoblade, hopefully at least a little Zelda trailer
4. Microsoft - Scalebound, Rare, 1st-party focus
5. Sony - U4, Rime, hopefully Horizon and enough PS4-exclusives
6. EA - Battlefront, Mass Effect, Mirrors Edge
7. Ubisoft - The Division, BG&E 2 (yea, right...)
8. PC - do not really care until I upgrade my PC in 2 or 3 years

First time ever that I'm more excited for both MS and Nintendo than for Sony, because of their lame focus on 3rd-party marketing & DLC deals, which I expect to get on the next level this year...

I'm actually surprised by all the Sony and Square Enix taking the top spots.

Sony usually delivers some boring ass conference filled with rambling and Square Enix usually disappoints everyone with their announcement. Konami must be right if everyone's this hype.

Is it because I put Nintendo last? I just don't care about them any more. They are doing their own thing...a thing that doesn't appeal to me.
You know damn well that's the reason. But if it ain't for you, so be it.
