E3 2015 Predictions & Discussion thread

I don't know that you should count on teases to necessarily manifest themselves.

Real talk, guys: sometimes you know about shit that definitely exists but it isn't at the show for whatever reason. There have been situations where games got pulled from shows because the harddrive with the demo on it got damaged and it was quickly replaced with something else. There have been situations where games didn't show up because the person delivering the video from Japan got there late.

Not saying everyone who teases is right, but not everyone who says "X will probably be there" is lying, either.
 
Hype ranking:

1. Sony will have Uncharted 4, Dark Souls 3, MGSV (?), The Witness and Persona 5, which are basically my five most desired titles right now. Plus we know there will be at least a couple big announcements - Horizon? Sony Bend? Team Gravity? ...TLG?

2. Nintendo will have the cleanest and most to the point presentation. Treehouse will be awesome. I basically know what to expect, which is a little disappointing (predicting Animal Crossing, Paper Mario and Star Fox as the big reveals), but even so my expectations are things I'm excited to see.

3. Microsoft is in a similar boat as Nintendo. They'll have a well presented conference, but I basically know exactly what to expect, and their games aren't as interesting as Nintendo's. Very curious to see more Scalebound though.

4. Square Enix will have Tomb Raider and Hitman, hopefully the rest is heavy on JRPGs. They could easily disappoint but they could also do something great.

5. EA should actually have an interesting E3 for once, provided they don't hold out. I don't even like Mass Effect that much but I want to see it.

6. Bethesda will have open world games and shooters. I don't really care, but I'll still tune in.

7. Ubisoft is irrelevant. We'll get Ubisoft The Game: London Edition, Chicago Edition 2, Himalayas Edition DLC, etc. Maybe a Ubi Art game, but at this point the world isn't lacking for artsy indie games.

8. PC... no idea what to expect and no hype.

Guys, just remember that just because the person was vetted doesn't mean their info is legit, it means they've proved that they're in a position to obtain legit info. We've had people vetted before that turned out to have incorrect info.

But still, get fucking hype.

Now we are getting small hints from people like shinobi, OrbitalMatrix and others who I don't remember right now. All of them are still here. I believe even Y2Kev is being all mysterious.

I, for one, believe TLG WILL be there, in some way, shape or form.

Where TLG is concerned, I trust no one.
 
I can't fucking handle this anymore. All these rumours. If TLG doesn't turn up next week then I'm going to be inconsolable. I had to have my beloved cat of 17 years down put down last month. If Trico rises from the ashes on the 15th (well, 16th here) then it'll be wonderfully poetic.

thats great but sony shouldn't show TLG if its not gong to release 2015 so TLG 2015 confirmed?

Still hoping Senzaru is at the helm of Sly 5 - if it's a thing. Liked Sly 4 and their work on the remaster.

Er, I don't know. Everyone loves videogames, and loves to discuss information. This is a great forum and community, and it'd be nice to talk about the things we hear with other people on this forum.

I don't like the culture of making stuff up, or people claiming they know things when they don't, but I'm not an employee of a company leaking secrets. I'm just a gamer who wants to talk about games so I don't feel too guilty at all.
 
It feels like for most people to consider you an insider you just have to write very little in reply to hype posts like

"lol"

or

" ;) "

Then everyone goes wild thinking that you know stuff.

So many people teasing TLG this year @_@. I realllly hope that if it does show up, it doesn't get leaked before hand. That'd be the worst.

GAF is a forum that has a reputation for insider presence. I think you kind of have to expect it when you enter.

Aside from that, it's not like a few winks beforehand will ruin the impact of TLG being announced, whenever that happens.

Not to mention information about planned things for press events they hear doesn't equal that it will be locked for execution for the press event.

I'm just mind blown I didn't notice his confident consistentcy with his comments.

If TLG gets unveiled again, I would really hope that it releases this year... If it's just another teaser with no release date info I can't get excited.
 
I'm just ignoring all of the TLG talks. It doesn't even seem like anyone have any legit info about it.

Am I the only one who wants to see Everybody's Golf show up? It'll probably be at TGS.

Okay so, I've spoken to a mod about what I'd heard. That's all. I don't count that as being vetted, though.

And yeah, I feel very optimistic.
 
Here's my stance on TLG. Not getting my hopes. Not doing that to myself this time. If it shows up I'll be hype beyond belief.

But I do feel if the game is still alive. Sony needs to show it this year and E3 is honestly the best place to show it to get the biggest reaction.
 
If Sony choses to close their press conference with The Last Guardian it will truly be an iconic moment... but if it's a no-show I won't be crushed, it isn't that extreme lol there are more things I'm really looking forward to that will be there, so I am super happy knowing there is little to no way I'll end up disappointed in E3 2015 ^^

By the way, KAGARI, COME UPON US AND VERIFY THE CLAIMS

No surprises are being ruined as, from experience, no one, apart from Demonite, has any legit info
 
All I want is a new Metroid Prime :(

But Nintendo's big reveal will probably be Animal Crossing for the Wii U... And I don't like Animal Crossing at all.

If AC6 is happening it's vastly more liekly to be at TGS than E3
Unless their new owners are ruling them with an iron fist it should be happening

Sadly I think this one IS dead, the creator left Square Enix to join a mobile phone game company

I just expected the usual TLG discussion to appear, so it wasn't a bad start!

I guess that the Sony conference will be totally PS4 oriented, I'll be surprised if we get to see some Vita games.
 
LTTP: Has anyone called dibs on "TLG: Time to Eat CrowDog Creature" Thread?, if it does happen this year I wonder how many members in Gaf that said "it's never gonna happen" will eat crow that day.
