If Sony choses to close their press conference with The Last Guardian it will truly be an iconic moment... but if it's a no-show I won't be crushed, it isn't that extreme lol there are more things I'm really looking forward to that will be there, so I am super happy knowing there is little to no way I'll end up disappointed in E3 2015 ^^

By the way, KAGARI, COME UPON US AND VERIFY THE CLAIMS

It'll be interesting to read through the Sony E3 conference thread if they save it for last. I can imagine people freaking out and getting anxious as the show draws to a close with nary a cat-bird in sight. Those heart-pounding final minutes of the conference where hype, anticipation and anxiety collide into "one last thing...." The screen goes black, and everyone waits with bated breath for a logo, a developer name, music, anything—a cue that the trailer you're about to watch is indeed what you've been hoping for. There will either be intense, visceral deflation or the ultimate release of exuberation after years of longing for the re-reveal of what could potentially be Ueda's magnum opus.

Ah fuck it! I'm switching sides. Now I'm in the "TLG is not appearing this year" camp. I'm not completely leaving the train though. That I'll ride to my grave.

I like Worthy, he seems like a really nice guy and nothing against OrbitalMatrix but if it turns out he is wrong I think there should be a more harsh punishment for teasing and pretending to know something. Not that I am saying OrbitalMatrix is doing that but, if he is wrong he really should get a serious ban. It's a growing trend on twitter and I don't want to see it on here.

I'm gonna stick with my gut feeling that TLG is going to appear this year. Never felt this way before. I was usually in the indifferent or "not gonna happen" camp. I personally am not even interested in the game.

Well I can promise you I'm not pretending, fwiw. I hate the culture of people pretending to know things as well, teasing without revealing anything because in reality they know nothing, as I stated in that post of mine that was quoted earlier.

At this point even if The Last Guardian shows up, nobody gets vindicated in my eyes. People on the internet say it will show up at every major event every year. Eventually someone will be right, but it'll take a lot for me to believe they had any legitimate information instead of blindly guessing "hey maybe it'll be this year."

I would rather them reveal Last Guardian when it's ready to release within a year. If that means this year, then cool, but why re-reveal it when we'll be in the same spot we are now in two years?

That's what I'm thinking, if TLG is re-revealed this year, it means it's releasing no later than next E3 for sure unless something happens.

I know it's said a lot, but they need to just say "Here's The Last Guardian" and put it out. Maybe not immediately, but within a month or two of the re-reveal. At this point, anyone who is going to buy it either knows about it or will find out about it within those 1-2 months/through word of mouth once it releases. Leave no doubt that it's done and happening, and get it out there ASAP.

i think it's more that people want concrete proof that it exists, and not just a person on twitter saying "hey hey it isn't cancelled we promise"

My dream is the conference ending with an incredible trailer for The Last Guardian, then as the title card fades up word by word it reads - coming for… Playstation 4… Holiday 2015.

Normally it would be strange to entertain the idea, but this game is an exception. In development for many years, a game Sony no doubt wants to be able to re-reveal with a firm release window and something that wouldn't need a massive 6 + month marketing push as it's sort of had hype building for years already.

Is it likely for 2015? No.
Could it happen? Yes.

That's an exciting prospect. I've always had the notion that when it does get re-revealed it will launch within 6-12 months of the announcement. Similarly to Bloodborne. Announced June, released the following March.

"Remember that game we announced back in 209?"

*room goes completely black*

*trailer starts*

It's the exact same trailer.

Teasing is annoying. If you know something is going to be there, then you should be willing to put your neck on the line for it.

Not that I need to know (I'd rather wait until E3) but you'd get a lot of heat off your back if you just explained where you're getting your info, you don't need to name names but without knowing what you actually do or what type of person you've spoken with, it all sounds like baseless teasing.

I feel like we don't need to know. If the mod let him live, then we have enough to go off of based on that. People want exact details and that's how people get found out and fired. Let it go. He said what he said. Others have said what they said. We will know in 7 days

TLG has a good of a chance of showing up, as the Cavs winning the NBA Finals

Ueda hasn't broken his kneecap. We still have hope

Was CBOAT wrong about anything besides that NPD thing?

He mentioned Prince of Persia at an E3 which turned out to be the Halo 5 reveal and he was banned for 72 hours for saying Titanfall resolution was lower that what it was at, even against Respawn officially stating the resolution. Other than that and NPD I think that's it.

Yeah, fair enough.

So, if TLG doesn't show up at E3, will shinobi get banned?

I think after PSX, a lot of users who teased or used their insider credibility to tell people certain games were gonna be there got the chop. Shinobi plays it so vaguely that he could probably get away with saying he didn't say anything.

I still have my Japanese collectors edition of the Team Ico collection on PS3. It has an art book with screenshots and concept art from TLG. Memories…

It would genuinely bring me joy to see the game re-announced for PS4.
