A little more than 72 hours before GAF shuts down.

Like half this list doesn't even count. I mean, Gravity Rush 2? How is that a bigger deal than Ratchet or LBP? It's not even a mid-carder. At least Ratchet has earned his spot as a mid-carder. Gravity Rush is like that jobber who is still making his way up the ranks.

Stop hating on my beloved Gravity Rush and give me a sequel already.

I think it'll be huge on the floor for them but not during the conference because it doesn't show well in presentations.

I think the big push for Morpheus during the conference won't a single all-encompassing info drop. I'm expecting something more akin to a constant sprinkling throughout. Not enough to detract from each individual announcement, but it'll act as a key bullet point when showing off new titles. I imagine it will be mentioned quite like the cross-buy concept was in the last several Sony conferences by highlighting the feature for a specific game.

This is all just speculation born from my hope that VR enabled games will be playable without VR.

I remember how incredibly well Ratchet and LBP3 were received last year. You all sure talked about them. For about ten pages even, I think.

I would have talked about them if I wasn't out late after seeing the show in the theatres.

By the way, if I see any of your stupid faces lit up by your mobiles while trying to post in the middle of the theatre, I am going to politely spill poutine all over your head.

You have been warned.

I'm not hating at all. I'm just giving them their rightful place on the ladder.

Gran Turismo is Stone Cold.
Uncharted is The Rock.
God of War is Batista.
TLG is Hulk Hogan (old, and unwanted)
Killzone is Chris Jericho (lol jabroni)
THE LAST OF US IS ROMAN REIGNS BALEE DAT

And so on. There's too many to list. Just write most of them off.

So when will the spoiler free post with links to all the conferences go up? I won't be able to watch all of my live and want to enjoy them spoiler free.

TLOU didn't choke at Wrestlemania tho

And what would be the Brock Lesnar equivalent?

The Last of Us is Kevin Owens, it's a role model people can look up to.

ROMAN REGINS IS DESTINY THE THING NO ONE WANTS BUT KEEPS GETTING SHOVED DOWN OUR THROUGHTS, except now it has enough content and people are willing willing to give it a second chance.

The Last Guardian is Sting, and Monday night in the Silver Dome, in front of all the ICOmaniacs, it's gunna be just like Survivor Series '15 BROTHER

Well, there's a game the Splinter Cell team could copy coming out in 3 months time...

Heh, good ol' MGSV.

I wonder if we'll see the new trailer at one of the big conferences/presentations or if they will release it during the week. Hope it will be Kojima-directed as well but I think chances are pretty low since he is pretty quiet on Twitter these days.

Barack Lesnar equivalent? Well, Barack only became relevant recently, so we have to wait for his equivalent.

Also, you don't mean those words about Roman. He will redeem himself next year.

ONE MAN, ALONE, BETRAYED BY THE FANS HE LOVES!

You're right.

It all comes to a head on Monday. There will be no more anticipation. No more hype. Only tears. People will finally never ask for TLG again, because it will remain dead. Live or die, this Monday, live on PPV, only one side survives. And it's going to be me BROTHER. Because ICOmaniacs are has beens, clinging to a time long gone, and which will never return. But you know what you can't bet against? The future.

I think it was confirmed we'll be getting an E3 trailer directed/edited by Kojima.

Read somewhere there is going to be a trailer edited by Kojima himself.
Think it was in this thread?

I hope Horizon is something like Bloodborne when it comes to weapons, you have guns/projectiles and then melee centric weapons.. obviously the guns/bows whatever are much more effective in Horizon though I'd hope.

According to JunkerHQ it was directed by Kojima

Atleast in the concept art there are melee weapons, a spear and some kind of axe.
I can't wait so see what GG is doing with Horizon, so much potential.

Edit: Beaten

Did we ever figure out how much of Sony's conference is supposed to be Morpheus related? The wave of pre-E3 announcements has me on edge.

As much as I liked Ni No Kuni I hope there is no sequel. White Knight had horrible gameplay, I was hoping for a Dark Cloud 3 but that doesn't look possible.

I hope for a new IP then.

I thought Studio Ghibli have halted production after Miyazaki retired. So unless we have a new art style, there would be no Ni No Kuni 2.

What level 5 RPG DOESNT have horrible gameplay? They're all a mess of boring repetition, broken skills and terrible AI

If it's Ni No Kuni 2 I hope it at least takes a few pages from stuff like Mononoke & Nausicaa and isnt the vomitous twee Ponyo bullshite the first game was.

So, what previously announced games are you most excited to hear about?

For me it's:

  • Battlefront - do I really need to explain this one?
  • Gravity Rush 2 - Loved the first one, and I want to see what the game looks like running on a PS4.
  • Homefront: The Revolution - I really liked what the studio was doing with the game, and the four player co-op sounded phenomenal.
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider - Haven't played the 2013 reboot, but I really like the look of the game.
  • Shadow Warrior 2 - Just revealed today. I doubt Devolver and Flying Wild Hog would announce the game so close to E3 and just leave it at that, so hopefully we'll get some footage at E3.
  • Metal Gear Solid V - My most anticipated game.
  • Star Ocean 5 - I've never played a Star Ocean game before, but the series (excluding SO4) seems to have a good reputation, so I'm interested in checking it out.
I'm also hopeful we'll see Dishonored 2 or a Dishonored remaster.

Edit: Oh shit, forgot about The Division and Rainbow Six: Siege.

Dark Cloud and Dragon Quest VIII/IX didn't have horrible gameplay.

Seeing this comparison, made me wonder and now I'm willing to know which games would be The Undertaker and Rey Mysterio.

THANK YOU!!

Finally someone else who agrees with me that the gameplay and AI in their games is awful. Only their Dragon Quest games have been good in that department and that could just be because it's a well established franchise.

Rogue Galaxy, Dark Cloud, professor Layton, Ni No Kuni had bad gameplay and AI?

I must be losing my mind. The only level 5 game I've played with poor gameplay was WKC.

Well good. Morpheus just won't demo well on stage. They should just tell people to come by their booth to try it and then move on with their presser.

That is how I feel, unless there are 10 games coming out before the next E3 and it's less than $200 I really don't care about Morpheus.

Also, fuck Powers as well too.

I don't buy this really. Obviously you don't get the full experience but it doesn't take too much imagination to appreciate how it might be in VR, even without ever having used it.

Agreed. Even though we can't understand the full experience, simply seeing footage of through the VR headset can give us a very good idea of what kind of game/experience they are going for in each game/demo.

Although I don't want 25+ minutes of Morpheus at the conference, I'm okay with 15-20 minutes that include information such as pricing, final specs, and release details.

I can imagine what things will be like in VR without listening to somebody tell me it will be the future of interactive entertainment for 10-15 minutes while I watch a normal looking first person game/experience with occasional cut-aways to a person standing there with a helmet on.

Just a trailer and some info will suffice for me.
