I bought the Ico/SotC HD collection the other day on PS3 to see what the hype is all about.
Of course playing them at the time would have been more special, but still, I'll keep my expectations in check and see if playing through the games gets me even more hyped to see The Last Guardian at E3 (which I hope we actually do considering fans have been waiting for so long - I do think it's time).

Wonder if Lionhead will announce a new game. They typically have more than one on the go at a time.
I'm still predicting a bad/mediocre E3 with the outside chance of HL3 saving the day.
I think I'm the only one here who thinks ICO is a tad shit, haha.

Haha, well to be honest, when I was talking to the cashiers when I bought the game, they did say they much preferred SotC. Still, I'll make sure to go in with realistic expectations
Btw, quick question if you don't mind me asking since I'm still a newb, is there an easier way to detect if someone has replied to your post like you can in Disqus with their notifications, or is an e-mail the only way to get notified if someone has replied to your post?

Panta Rhei's development may be holding up RE7 somewhat. You'd at least expect it to be running on that engine. That may explain why they've been pushing Revelations 2 and remasters of the series for the time being.

So you think it's most likely to be next-gen [current-gen] only? I hope so since I dislike seeing these Capcom remasters appear on last gen too. IIRC, that engine is built specifically for current-gen, no?
I don't think next RE and DMC are anywhere close, but at least we maybe get first announcement of those games at this years E3 or TGS.

I definitely think it'll be current-gen only. It's a mainline RE title, so they won't be worried about the sales. That's a series that down around 6m without much problem.

The past 2 games haven't been very good, but I love Biohazard characters.
Chris, Jill, Leon, Claire, Barry, Shirley, Ada, Wesker. Heck even B-tier scrubs like Carlos, I'm fond of. I've always thought RE1/2/3/CV were going to lead up to that moment where they teamed up to take down Umbrella... and it did, but lol it was off-screen or barely given its due.
I just want that last slice of indulgence before we go back to something new.

But see, that's where I feel RE6 was messed up. FOUR separate campaigns that were all pretty bad, when they could have focused on ONE with all of those characters written in. With one of the stronger characters being main protag, like Chris, Leon, or Claire. Or switching among the three throughout the story (Like CV did).
RE6 was just a mess.
Doesn't really make sense with SFV and Tekken 7 being PS4 games(and PC and XBO in the latter's case).

Agreed. The 4 campaigns approach was just bad. I want a good execution of the multi-character storyline, with something focused.
And I don't know Capcom is so in love with these 'separate storylines' stick. Even in the movies they do that with Leon/Claire having their own separate arcs, etc. When it works, it's great, but there needs to be a silver lining that ties it all together, otherwise it's meh.
Great way to burn money.

Oh man, this is easily the most exciting time of the year for me. I can feel the Megatons already. The question who will be dropping them?
More than anything I am hoping we get plenty of new IP's from each publisher, they can't keep piggybacking off the same tired old formulae forever.

I really doubt it. Rumors are that Fallout 4 is being released this year, so they dont' really need to remaster Skyrim right now. I could see them possibly doing it next year as a stopgap between their big RPG releases.

He probably knows every CGi/cutscene that's being developed for an E3 reveal tomorrow.
