I agree. I fucking HATED Street Fighter 3 with a passion. all versions of it. the charactors SUCK, the backgrounds mostly suck. the music sucks. SF2 The World Warrior, Champion Edition and Turbo/Hyper Fighter completely ANIHALATE SF3.

I agree, for the most part. I don't know when video gaming became so god-damned elitist where you had to own certain systems or games to be considered "real", "hardcore", "elite", or whatever. If nothing else, these "casual" gamers that everyone on message boards denounces these days sink just as much money as these other elitists do. Who the hell are we to dictate what people should and shouldn't be playing... or where they should buy their games from?

A few thousand so-called "hardcore" gamers from a few internet message boards are NOT going to alter the gaming market. I don't know if it's because these "hardcore" people don't like the fact that they no longer make up the majority in the gaming community or whether it's because the internet gives them a chance to showcase their elitism (although the majority doesn't give a rat's ass), or if it's something else.

Have fun with your boycotts and your Nostradamus-style doom predictions. I'll continue to buy the games that I feel are worth my money, and I'll buy them where I see fit.

That's exactly how i feel. I don't give a shit what company EA buys. I'll continue to buy the EA games i'm interested in (not that many) and ignore the rest.

It's too late!!! Hardcore and educated gamers are probably aware that EA games are mostly mediocre. However, there's no way to break through to the average consumer who buys a game or two every couple of months at Walmart because it has EA lable on the cover.

Sorry etiolate I'm not part of the EA audience... I myself actually own very few EA titles because they don't do alot of stuff in the genre's I have interest in... in reality I'm part of the audience that isn't made of up raving, paranoid f'n lunatics....

Why can't EA just be content with what they are now? I doubt Namco or Capcom would allow a buyout or anything. I'd rather SCE or Nintendo buying them before this happens.

A massive upswing? Have we ever seen that through ANY acquisition by any developer in this industry? Why don't I point out a pink elephant to you while I'm at it?

The fact that people folks refuse to accept that SOME development teams under EA do continue to put out consistently quality work is laughable.

The problem right now is that through EA's size they aren't enforcing any type of quality across the board.

When stuff comes from the EA BIG teams, you generally know it's going to be quality.
When racing games come from.... Black Box? You know they are generally going to be quality.

Unfortunately certain other teams aren't nearly as reliable, some of them WEREN'T that reliable before they were acquired by EA.

Hold other developers who also have crappy teams to similar standards. That's all I'm saying. Knock them for producing crappy products, that still manage to sell. Knock them for producing rehashes... that people still buy. That shit isn't exclusive to EA.
