Lapkus is the funniest person in the world and the prime example of people who dont find women funny being god damn crazy

that last best of has a highlight of the year from her

'first thing I told him was that I have AIDS, second thing was FUCK ME HARDER!'

its funny how the best ofs are like.. the best episodes of the year, ironically

I just love that its the closest thing we get to scott and pft just hanging out

Which is a damn crime because Scott is really funny when he isn't busy being a host and can try to be funny on his own accord. Been relistening to UTU2TM and Scott's so good.

Started listening to the Reality Show SHOW and it's so good! One of my only complaints about Hollywood Handbook is that I have to be actively listening to really enjoy it, unlike something like the Giantbombcast. The RSS is way easier to follow and enjoy when I'm multitasking, so it's great to have on in the backround.

I also really like Sean and Hayes geniune excitement as they talk about Reality shows. It reminds me of UTU2TM? in that there's a real love and childish giddiness surrounding their chosen subject. At times it reminds me of talking to friends about my favourite shows, except the guys are way funnier then anyone I know.

It's particularly interesting hearing the guys do bits that are very similar to Hollywood Handbook stuff, but not in their Ironic Hollywood voices. They are much less weird and more accessible. I imagine that they would have a wider appeal if they always did bits in this way, although it would probably be to the detriment of their podcasts. It's fun hearing them talk out of character though, what they lose in Irony they gain through honesty. Some of the bits they do are noticably weaker then HH bits though, you can see them slowly finding their comedic voices. It's remarkable just how great the early episodes are when you think about it, considering this is their first podcast and Hayes was never a performer before starting it.

Overall, I would totally recommend any Handbook Heads go back and listen to the show, I'm really loving it. Even non- Hollywood Handbook fans may find it an easier way to get into Sean and Hayes unique brand of humour.

I love LL. I haven't become completely smitten by With Special Guest, but she's always great on CBB.

So glad the kid detectives made it so high. I was laughing so hard at that episode.

Speaking of which, last week's WSGLL was really good! Listened to it this morning. Lauren and D'Arcy played so well off one another and the big reveal towards the end...

First CBB of the year is a doooooooooozy. Scott and Benny have such a charming chemistry and the...irregularness of Horatio's character gels with the sloppiness of the episode.

Could not have been more happy with how the last segment of the show goes sideways. It's a nasty sort of happiness to see something I really liked get replaced with...that. So good.

I didn't listen to much CBB last year so I used the best ofs to get back into the swing of things. The one thing that stands out so far is that Thomas Middleditch is a genius.

His Hollywood Handbook appearance is very good.

His live episode of With Special Guest is pretty amazing.

I love WSGLL but it's definitely hit or miss. When it's good it's FANTASTIC. Lapkus is incredible, for sure. Latest ep was really good, also love all the Wild Horses eps.

This week's HH was gold, as always. While I miss the consistency of Sean and Hayes both being on together, these solo eps have been pretty fresh and have yet to disappoint.

First new ep of CBB was lolz, Horatio is such a goof.

I wish Andy Daly would do another podcast or a follow-up to PPP between seasons of Review...

Anybody watching the UCB Show on Seeso? So far so good IMO. You can see Betsy Sodaro, Mary Holland, James Adomian, Andy Daly (Chip Gardner!), Drew Tarver, Pamela Murphy, and some other people that have been on Earwolf podcasts.

Yeah, that first episode is soooooo good. For as cheap as that is, if Bajillion Dollar Properties is good too (and maybe if they get an AppleTV app), that's an easy sell for me.

The opening segment on this week's CBB with Scott and Todd (Lauren) is C+ level banter, even with the insane propitious detour. Great bits.

When will The Boys be reunited? :(

I miss Sean and Hayes interactions; their phone calls on these shows are such teases. That being said, this HH episode is incredible. I'm not done with it but I'm losing my shit at the script read and the random raunchy detours. It makes me want to engage in some nautical activities if you catch my drift.

Just in case you didn't know, Matt Besser is answering questions on the Earwolf subreddit right now! He's pretty much answering everything, albeit with short replies. But if you have any questions or just wanna read some of his thoughts you should get in here! https://www.reddit.com/r/Earwolf/comments/40k2a5/i_am_matt_besser_ama/?sort=qa

On a sidenote, the Earwolf reddit is really good in general, it's very friendly community.
Thanks for posting this. Some interesting things here.

Holy crap, the newest HH is the funniest thing I've heard. The part with ISIS guy, ripped Minion and Jack Nicholson is just hilarious.

Most recent improv4humans is so good! It's a great lineup with Eugene Cordero, Seth Morris and Will Hines, and they do some fantastic Making a Murderer and David Blaine inspired scenes. I'd really recommend it! I4H continues to be the most consistent podcast out there.

Yea I've been behind on i4h but there have been some great episodes lately. The one with the Milk Carton Kids was amazing, they were perfect guests.

Just listened to the Nicole Bryer episode of HH again... seriously one of the best, like top 3 material. Nicole is hilarious and all the stuff with Cody is gold. Also loved the no means no being a bad code stuff.

EDIT: Scott Aukerman does stand up on EP 3 of the UCB Show on Seeso.

Weird Al is the new band leader for the CBB TV show.

Awesome news!

edit:
Podcast is up on the website

Not on my Podcast app yet but looking forward to it, looks like a Grepisode.

“Weird Al” Yankovic joins Scott as a special co-host and to make a very major announcement on this week’s Comedy Bang! Bang! Child actress Dimples also visits the studio to talk about her new show “My Silly Step-Sister,” her foley artist work, and her dark home life. Then, spokesperson Cody Calavera stops by to raise awareness on what it means to be a “Moss Man.”

Cudi releases that trash album and gets canned by Scotty 😂

Kid Cudi always felt like such an odd replacement for Reggie, just really out of place, maybe that was the point given the nonsensical nature of CBB.

Weird Al is a great choice though, he is always fantastic on the show and the podcast.

did songs play multiple times for anyone else during the podcast? like, the theme song started up at a lower volume while al and scott were talking early on and they didn't address it, and the plugs theme played a second time for me with no acknowledgement by anyone talking.

Not for me. I listened through the default podcast application on my iPhone.

Huh, that's how I listened too. I was thinking it could be a weird error on just my download, but I also thought that didn't make a ton of sense because it's not as if all the audio was doubling--just the two songs specifically. ah well!
