arcade style shooter, linear levels, simple-ish enemy ai, unique storytelling.
it's on 360, PS3, PC, Switch and is backwards compatible on Xbox One/Series X|S
I'd recommend the PC version, as the console versions are 30fps.
by getting points you can unlock upgrades like a short slowmotion effect every time you zoon in with a rifle and stuff like that.
and you have a special move that's similar to Red Dead Revolver's/Red Dead Redemption's dead-eye move
on a similar vein,
if it's ok that it's a bit older, we're talking PS2 and Xbox here,
may I recommend:
you're a riot police officer, you shoot gang members in linear missions.
the gameplay focuses on the use of your riot shield that you can pull out at any time.
there are segments where you go into burning buildings and have to rescue civilians.
and then there are the standoffs against hostage takers, where as soon as they reload everything goes slowmotion and you gotta hit them.
and at the end of all these standoffs the hostage taker will get killed in fun and brutal ways. the first one will blow up in a room full of explosives for examination (all in slowmotion of course)
enemies are mostly canon fodder, as it's a very arcadey feeling game.
you earn medals by fulfilling challenges per mission (amount of headshots, amount of arrests using a taser, arresting a gang boss, finding secret masks), and medals unlock weapon upgrades and new equipment.
there's a neat little trick,
if you rotate your right stick 2 times, your crosshairs will go blue, and the next kill will be shown in a slowmotion close-up shot.
these close-up shots also happen randomly from time to time.
