Elden Ring goes gold

Always remember.

. . . what exactly about FROM SOFTWARE's release history suggests they should be in the same conversation with CDPR. . . or is this just another chance to beat that horse dead?

So it's not gold then.

Of course it is. Why be pedantic?

what exactly about CDPR's release history prior to GOLD announcement suggested they were going to delay again and again? Gold means nothing. Delays can happen, always, anywhere, to any company.

As a straight married guy with kids , I'm ready to get my ass fucked again after sekiro.
That last boss broke me
i don't think i've fully recovered from sekiro. i love these games but then i remember fighting some of the sekiro bosses and now i'm thinking why am i about to do this to myself again? lol

The agonizing wait for FromSoftware's next big action RPG is nearly over as Elden Ring looks set to release on February 25th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC.

Let's take a look at 15 things you need to know before diving in.

Again. . .what does CDPR have to do with FROMSOFTWARE? If the point was to make a meaningless statement that "Anything can happen. . ." sure, because it can. Specifically bringing up CDPR (who are not known for releasing problem free games) is what I was referring to.

The performance tests on the final build will really tell me if I'm going to play this on PS5, Xbox Series X or PC. In Digital Foundry's last video about performance 2 months ago showed that the frame-rate mode never really maintained a stable 60fps. If that's still the case I'll play it on PC if benchmarks show that my trusty 1080 ti can handle 60fps at 1440p but the truth is I'd rather play it on my couch under a blanket on my oled tv.

Sekiro was brutal. It's very punishing and doesn't ever make you feel like you have a hang of it. You start to get good and they throw some challenge that you were prepared for. No summon's besides the few NPC's that are useless really makes it a a game where if you don't learn what you did wrong when you died on the last battle you're doomed to repeat it till you want to just stop.

I feel like Elden Ring will have its moments of utter despair with certain bosses but once you can summon someone in, it will level the playing field.

But once you get a hang of it's combat it feels super satisfying.

Sekiro it's my all time favourite FROM game.
Yes, once you realize it's becoming a parry master you can nail it. The Guardian Ape 1st & 2nd phase were rough along with the headless version and his side piece.

Also, what anime is that gif from? My inter weeb needs to know.
