My initial reaction is that none of those guys played a full season... but then I remember that Barber was coming off the bench against an already winded D. :lol

What about portis?

CP: 1262 yards, 11 tds, 47 receptions, 389 receiving yards
MB: 975 yards, 10 tds, 44 receptions, 282 receiving yards, 2 receiving tds.

LiveWire said:
Good luck with that.

QFT.

you conveniently forgot yards per carry, success rate, dpar and dvoa

MBIII - 4.8 ypc
Portis - 3.9 ypc

as for the other stats, http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/rb.php

btw, portis: 6 fumbles. MBIII: 1 fumble

One of those two running backs played behind a devastated line, the other had almost his whole line go to the pro bowl. One of those two rbs had a passing offense juggernaut to relieve the pressure off the running game (4th in the league I believe). One of those two rbs had one of the highest rated QBs this year to help take pressure off of him, etc.

Oh and you conveniently misquoted barbers fumbles numbers, the correct number is 3, unless you are saying nfl.com is mistaken. Frankly I don't care that Barber is going to the pro bowl nor do I care to get into a argument over something as dumb as the pro bowl.

Cowboys have 13 Pro Bowlers right? Look where it got them. :D

I mean, sure some of them definitely deserved it (Romo, Newman, Ware, Witten), but the others are question marks.

Also, per Rotoworld:

With coordinator Al Saunders landing in St. Louis, the Washington Post believes free agent Todd Collins "would be prized by the Rams."

Collins, who knows Saunders' offense like the back of his hand, would threaten Gus Frerotte's roster spot. Considering Frerotte's poor season and the $1.9 million he's due in 2008, it wouldn't be a surprise if he's cut loose.

BTW, Larry Fitzgerald's salary numbers are hilariously high. Like $12 mill this year and $14 mill next year. Expect a trade, hopefully to the Jags and we can work out a different contract.

Who would Jacksonville have to trade? Stroud plus draft picks? Fitz is a top five WR and deserves every penny.

come to san francisco fitz! give it to the cards twice a year like they deserve! we can give the cards D-Drop and whoever else they want on our offensive roster aside from VD and frank the tank!

Saunders in St Louis will be a great match. SJAX should flourish. Skins are fucking retarded for letting both of those coordinators go.

I quoted the fumble numbers from footballoutsiders.

And pro bowl selection mainly looks at stats and wins. it doesn't take into account everything that goes into the run game (quality of offensive line, how the qb is, etc)

and i mean, look at how julius jones did behind that offensive line :lol

YOu have it right, they're retarded for letting them both go. Saunders had his has tied in DC. I'm 100% sure he's going to do his best to crush the Skins when he visits them next season.

voters shouldn't be allowed to talk about how they're voting or why they voted a certain way. They all get so self-important about it. Fuck them. Especially King. If Monk gets in finally it's almost an insult for how long it's taken.

Right now, it's like they're trying to suck out any ounce of joy that he or Fans would get from seeing him finally get enshrined. It's really pathetic and seeing how anal the NFL is about people running off with their mouths I'm appalled that they can even say BS like this.

I mean really, who the hell is Peter King or Dr. Z? Let's be real when they die nobody will remeber them and/or care. They just want to feel important and feel like they're part of something special.

I'd rather take the word of fellow athletes in regards to the importance of a player.

There's no reason to expect a trade when they can just extend his contract. Every high draft pick rookie contract gets out of hand in the last couple of years.

huh, the word fumble doesn't appear in that article. What a joke of a writer.

You know, I didn't hate him as much as other Giants fans, but this is fucking BS.
Barber is an asshole, he needs to get over himself
Do we have our first Titans fan on GAF?!
I do cheer for them (and no one else except for whoever plays the pats) but I'm sure someone will be like "you're not a true fan!!!"because I started by following VY to the titans and I guess their my team now.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure there's another titan fan but he doesn't appear too often. He had a ratchet avatar

It doesn't necessarily make Tiki look any better (covering your own ass after your team makes the SuperBowl the year after you retire, sour grapes much?), but it's very interesting to see how Coughlin handled it (read: not well). It makes it more apparent that this year's success came more from Spagnuolo, Reese, and Gilbride than from Coughlin.

yeah, but that's only Tiki's take on how Coughlin handled it.

I know, but when I look at Coughlin I see a guy who's succeeding despite himself. I can't be the only one that has that impression. I mean, if the Giants lose the SB, Coughlin's really no better than Jim Fassel--and ask any Giants fan what they think of him.

Edit: :lol :lol :lol at Berman.

how have upsets been recently in the Super Bowl? Was the Tampa Bay over Oakland an upset according to the spread? I don't remember... previous one was the NE over St. Louis right?

This stuff pisses me off. Tiki's just an asshole.

"Last year I told Eli, 'Look, you've got to get up and start talking and be a vocal leader," Barber said. "I handed those duties to him. So middle of the season, he gets up and he's never done this before. I'm there, all the old veteran personalities are there. And this insecure guy with a little voice starts trying to yell at us and motivate us.

"It was funny. It was comical, but I didn't say it [on TV] in any malicious way. It was literally lost in translation. I'm sure I sounded the same way Eli did when I first did that. And then it's presented to Eli like, 'Did you hear Tiki called you a comical leader?' I called Eli the next day and left him a message. I told him, 'It wasn't in context. Maybe I used the wrong word and I'm sorry if it offended you. You know I know you're a good leader.' But Eli never called me back."

yeah, NE over St. Louis was that last real upset (TB over Oakland wasn't that big). Also, Denver beating GB was a pretty big upset too.

he certainly wasn't a bad coach. But his time with Billick recently was comical. And his getting the blame for that situation was lame.

Simmons article on 2007 Pats vs. 1986 Celtics was the worst thing I've ever read from him.

Simmons is extremely annoying to read when one of the Boston team is doing well. Leave that sort of crap to a local paper like the Boston Herald.
