so this works with DK2 right now? If so I'll buy this now
Got to play for a little bit before it went down. Gonna take a while to get the hang of this.
That patch list is absurd
Dude add me! Cmdr Miyamoto Musashi
I swear I won't shoot you!!

I think I missed where to set a commander name. Where do you do that?
Are you Backer #45525?
Because that's what comes up when I search your name, new name change going through?
Got in briefly, docked first time, no scrapes, watched someone with the control grace of a elephant attempt the same on the pad next to me fail, and explode.
Jaw is aching and is currently a trip hazard.
Oh my, once the servers settle down this is going to be monumental.
I have yet to buy the game, i've read the enormous patch notes and i am wondering how much content there is really in the game right now.
I mean if i log on multiplayer, what can i actually do except dock and undoc from the city and explore empty solar systems ?
There's a shitton. Buy it. It's amazing. Also, you're another person I can shoot, uh... I mean help. Yeah... That...
haha, yeah.... i am watching streams and nobody actually did any content except setting up control and crashing in the city.
Is a Joystick required for this?
I guess its way too early to know, but how much of a value do you guys think the lifetime expansion pass is? Like, are they only gonna put out $60 worth of expansions, or is paying $50 now potentially going to save me $300?
Wow. What an experience. First time using a flight stick (HOTAS), first time docking, first hyper space jump...
Blew me away. Can't wait to play more.
(really pleased myself docking manually first time without fucking it up, including asking permission!)
Love this so far.
Their store won't let me buy with my bank card. :/

A long time ago, in the age of old space sims like the first elite and even up to freelancer I used to always sing the praises of Joysticks. Now? Unless you really want to toss away 100 bucks I'd stick with the tried and true 360 controller. It simply is a wonderful controller. If the DS4 ever gets real PC support then the 360 pad has some competition, but honestly it's just a fine piece of equipment.
I have no doubt that, perhaps, someone with an Oculus Rift would have some advantage over those not using it. I am skeptical, at best, that a Joystick brings any kind of advantage over a 360 controller.

I have 30 something buttons mapped *without* shift, 3 analog controls I can use without hindering access to said buttons (that is, I don't need to take my hands/thumbs off of them to press buttons at the same time), and a larger throw on analog axes for finer analog control. It's not some crazy "you are dead if I see you" advantage over gamepad players, but there absolutely is a significant advantage. I'm sure there will be extremely deadly gamepad players, but they'll be overcoming inherent control disadvantages.
