That's when the coalition started building, but I was ready for that as it had happened in all my test games, and as long as Austria didn't join in, I was alright. Normally in my test games I just took Romagna and didn't vassalize the Papal States, so that was my first mistake. I then annexed my vassal Corfu. Finally, once I saw that Hungary's player had dropped out and Poland was crushing them, I decided to take over Lika and unite my provinces on the Adriatic a bit better. That's when Austria joined the coalition, and a few months later the coalition DOW'd me.

Does this include conquer and get them as vassals? If so I have alread achieved this one lol :) - annexed two countries and force-vassalized three! Fitting considering the name of the achievement.

Won't stop picking the right nation
I really hate that mechanic where you get dragged into war against a non-belligerent nation because they vassalize someone you're already fighting against. I particularly didn't expect to find myself suddenly at war with the Timurids because I was almost certain that I had control of the siege for Tabarestan's capital. Fortunately, it worked out in the end. The Timurids lost Afghanistan to a huge revolt and I forced them to give up several provinces to Persia. I'm not sure how much I want to continue feeding my vassal vs. simply coring some of the land myself. The new 75% autonomy rule makes it really unpalatable to diplo-annex the entirety of Persia. I'll probably have to bring some of the autonomy down little by little and try to deal with the resulting unrest.

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
There's nothing wrong with having a map, as long as it's not embedded on the page since Morfeo has a point about it crashing Chrome.

I don't have access to the save files but if kab gives me the snapshots of the first year and wherever we stopped I can splice them together.

Question, do we need to start at 21:30 tomorrow? I believe I was the reason why we had to since I was comuting which I dont do anymore.

So we could go for 21:00 CEST tomorrow as well so we have same timeslot for each day.

I am still for 21:30. The reason I wanted 21:30 is because I might not be able on time on some wednesdays due to work.

Ive actually read a lot of reports that the wages for unskilled labour in Germany has become so low, that a lot of people needs two jobs to be able to feed their family - which means this 16 hour work-day might be closer to the truth than what we would hope :(

I have a feeling I will be exhausted since I am having a lecture tomorrow, so I say we end at the normal time, but then can have an option to continue if everybody agrees.

Germany is easily on the "less problematic" scale for those issues, due to the social help. If you dont have a million kids and many expenses (cars, phone contract), you always should be doing decently here.

Ive read conflicting reports on that - but I guess i should trust your firsthand knowledge of the country :)

Well, I mean it is a problem, but Germany is hardly the among the worst countries to live in, even with shitty jobs and in the overall context (even within the EU) is not really the most problematic.

Just for comparison:
Based on % of the whole population, the US has more than twice as many homeless children under 16 (0,5% of the population), than Germany has homeless overall (0,2% of the population). The overall homeless rate in the US is about 6 times as high as Germany.

Comparing to the US flatters almost any country, but I am just saying that Germany isnt particularly bad on its own (France has around 1,5%, England is at around 0,3%, Norway at 0,15%, Sweden at 0,19%)

Nonetheless, its a shitty problem, no matter for how many or where it occurs and its a rising issue in almost any country.

The guy that goes out 2-3 times a week, get laid most of the time, have a PROBLEM WITH 30 MIN ADDED PLAY TIME?!

Yeah very true. So what I have read doesnt really conflict with what you are saying here, but its stuff like the average wages going down in the last 15 years (after the Hartz), and with no minimum income (and weak unions to establish collective bargaining agreements), many sectors have terrible wages and thus forces people to work more than one job. Im sure its even worse in other countries. But the media - at least here in Norway - portrays Germany is a kind of success story when it comes to the handling of the crisis - which I guess is true compared to most countries - but still doesnt change the fact, as you also wrote, that poverty is sharply increasing. Anyways, this is a huge derail, but its interesting nevertheless.

I have a lecture on new forms of resistance in the modern market economy (revitalizing of labour unions, social movements etc), and knowing myself, I feel I wont get much sleep tonight because I need to prepare it. Nothing to do with students this time. Also Fanboi, I havent been going out in over a week!

Edit: Also just realized there is a Nintendo Direct at 11 tomorrow, so thats another reason to quit early :)
