I'm getting good at playing against history. I did an Ironman game with Wallachia ending up as 7th best country and I'm now playing a Byzantium game in which I kick some ottoman ass, so I think I will be fine.

Animated PNGs are prettier and with a limited amount of colors they won't be very large.

I usually play Eastern nations, I don't mind Swahili's tech.
I should be fine with the tech, I don't have too many provinces to conquer and core around me anyhow, except for Iceland of course.

Been playing two hours with Vijayanagara now - and holy shit our mp-session really has gone much worse than I thougth. There is seriously no challenge in India and you can probably form Hindustan in like what, 20 years if you play decent? Oh, and avoid the peasant war of course

Yeah, Vija is a great country if you arent too unlucky.
In my current Ironman game with Byzantium, I just had Castille and Scandinavia set me as a rival and them both together with France joining a coalition against me for conquering parts of Hungary. I'm allied with Austria and Russia and Castille is also allied with Austria (their only ally). Sometimes I fail to understand the coalition mechanics in this game.
Edit: Problem solved, France left the coalition soon enough and Spain (no longer Castille) declared war on France for conquest of Provence. I think I never saw Spain declaring war on France until now. Usually it was the other way around.

Haha, yeah I guess there is something particular I do with them. Too bad I cant change to a agro-socialist society where the peasants and Shudras themselves are in control of both their labour, the land and its result - without any exploitation from the Brahmins and its vijayanagarian state.

Not bad for a first game for me.
I retook a province that was lost by the AI in the last game, took two new provinces from Pegu and vassalised the rest. Also, begun the vassal process for Lan Na. I didn't lose much in return either, a few rebels and a diplomatic hit but that's ok, there are no immediate threats.
Let's see how it goes next time.
