Utada Hikaru's Ending theme
This is the PV for Utada Hikaru's new song, which will be the Ending theme song for 3.0
Yea I got the chills when that music started playingBy the way, the music you can hear on this clip is a re-arrangement of 'Light Of Babel' from Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water soundtrack. Same thing that happened with Evangelion: 2.0 and His and Her Circumstances tracks.
Not knowing a too much about how these movies fall together, I'd ask: are they all based off of the original 26 [?] episodes? I like Evangelion, even if there is too much whining -it is an epic anime. I browsed the wiki but couldn't really tell if there are new storylines, continuations of the "original" (being US and not anime/manga savvy the 26 episodes are what I saw first) story. Death and Rebirth was like a remix and I don't remeber if I saw 2.0
So, are 3.0 and 4.0 elaborations and retellings, or something new entirely? I assume there is much more lore than what I have been exposed to. I will check this out when it hits the US either way.
When will I be able to watch this in the tongue of the western lands?
The various Eva projects are a bit complicated, but the short version is that the "Rebuild of Eva" movies -- 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and upcoming fourth film -- are either a "reimagining" of the original TV series with many different plot threads and characters, a "sequel" to the decidedly apocalyptic End of Evangelion film, or both. They tend to be lighter in tone, and as a consequence of both that and their reduced running time vs. a television series, most of the arcs and stories related to the adult characters have been excised in favor of playing up a Rei/Shinji/Asuka love triangle. Not knowing a too much about how these movies fall together, I'd ask: are they all based off of the original 26 [?] episodes? There is even a new illustration of her made for the 'CD Single' sleeve, by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. It is visible at its iTunes Store page (https://itunes.apple.com/jp/album/id576139166). Nice!Utada Hikaru's Ending theme

I will never understand people who complain about that. Evangelion is over, we had an ending around 15 years ago. Some people like this. Those people are Communists.
Exactly! That is why I said comparisons with the past are pointless, lets just see what this brings around and forget about the rest.I will never understand people who complain about that. Evangelion is over, we had an ending around 15 years ago.
Why asking for more of the same? These movies took a different direction, and it's a good thing in itself. Why wasting time on character development we already know everything about?
Instead it focuses on new themes, and different characters. As long as it differs from the first series, I'm happy with that. I don't want them to waste time on things we already know.
Now Shinji, Asuka and Rei are very different characters, and I can hardly wait to see how their relationships and behavior will evolve in the next two movies.
I think you'd remember of you saw the second movie, it diverts from anime a great deal, and in a good way (the ending specifically is some epic and glorious stuff). And I love the anime series, I was just disappointed with the second half of EoE

Apparently in that opening.Asuka calls Mari "four eyes"
Typical of her.
I know, but I can hope. Hopefully the HK release of 3.0 won't be too far behind the Japanese release (though I don't remember how long it took for 2.22).

Didn't Mari call her 'ohime-sama'?
I can respect changes made in remakes, but I retain the right to criticize the results when they remove the strongest of the original work's elements without adequately satisfying replacements.I will never understand people who complain about that. This, isn't it? Well, final bar-line and end of composition:apparently the 4th movie's title will not be "?" Its something weird "// I"
Very cool... thanks!
But not without the dots...That title for the 4th movie. Its sign used in Music for "Repeat Sign"
LOL

Well, the dots are there, but maybe it is a dual interpretation...It has the roman numeral, but the dots aren't there.

oh man oh man oh man, the wait is gonna kill meAnd notice how they changed back to エヴァンゲリオン from ヱヴァンゲリヲン
オ was used in the original TV series, while ヲ was used for the new movies. Now the 4th movie is back to オ

Yeah, all the titles until now had the colon symbol, but now it can be part of the 'reprise' bars-lines as well, or are those final bar-lines after all? Difficult to know right now...I can't see it, I'm going off the text above.
Edit: Oh you added a picture.

Yeah, I saw that too... sigh, gonna be a looong time before any thing solid is known. And those 'シン' first before on 'シン・エヴァンゲリオン劇場版'!
Some people spot-on! That unknown girl of the brown hair present on the latest trailer isSakura Suzuhara, the sister of Tōji!
So I guess its true that Q(3.0) is set 14 years after Ha(2.0) WTF
I'm more excited to see what people are right and wrong about more than even seeing the movie at this point. The speculation is amazing.
Wat. Well I guess the opening makes some sense now.
