Exclusive Invitation for an Xbox One Alpha Trial [Titanfall]

Signed up for it on the Origin account that's tied to BF4 XB1 and it gave me the ToS, and whatever it said at the end. Fingers crossed it's real!

Then, signed up for it on an account that *wasn't* on BF4, and it just said "You may be contacted regarding Titanfall opportunities in the future".

So... if it's fake, they've certainly gone to great lengths to mask it.

If you're suspicious, I'd recommend you do what another poster here did and sign it at the origin website, then just click through the application page on that link.
If it makes you feel better, the website they have in their twitter description is TitanFall.com
 
Maybe they just want to do a network stress test or somethin' to see how the dedis handle it but are using an older build of the game.

Funny enough, I bought Battlefield 4 on a whim for PC. But it kept crashing on me, so I gave up on it. Never expected to get this random Titanfall invite.

EDIT: I bought it on Xbox One too. Probably where I got the invite for and NOT the PC version.

Do you have the Xbone version or the PC one? I wouldn't mind too much buying BF4 for PC. Want to do this before they publicly announce the beta and all the copies on Ebay jump in price.

That's what I'm assuming. It's an internet required game, they need to have it put through its paces to handle launch. If they use a super stable older build where they can focus on the networking and not worry about the game crashing from certain bugs then it would be beneficial to them.

The real excitement is for the games actual release, a beta/alpha/demo won't go as big in terms of mainstream awareness. And in the end they will probably give away codes on Twitter when it goes live.
 
this is without a doubt, not a scam. Again, the beta sign up was done thru titanfall's official website. 100% legit.
 
Fuck it, I don't care if it is a scam and I lose my Origin account, it has an exclusive password only for Origin, so I won't lose much.

No fucking way am I missing out on playing TitanFall early!

It told me I qualified, and I accepted the terms, and if I'm accepted I'll get an email with my code telling me how to access it on my Xbox One early. I'm so fucking excited!

I actually bought BF4 for Xbox One too. I say that shamefully, as I should have never given EA my money twice for that broken game. Although to be fair, the Xbox One version rarely crashed on me. *shrugs*

But you are right, this would probably be for the X1 version I bought. I should probably edit my post so it doesn't confuse people.

I qualified without an email, and I don't own Battlefield 4 on PC. Just PS4 and Xbox One, so... I assume it's just for those who bought BF4 on Xbox One. I doubt they care if anyone bought it for PS4, since they wouldn't be able to play this alpha.
 
Guys, I took one for the team and clicked the link. It took me to the Titanfall.com website and I registered. Everything seemed legit.
 
The game is in Alpha status two months from release date, and people still wonder if one should buy EA games on day one ?

Should we expect a day7 patch to have the game go gold or what? This is ridiculous...

Honestly, go out to Redbox nearby and look through to see if any of them have Battlefield 4 for Xbox One available to rent. Most common Xbox One game for rent in my area is Battlefield 4 and Fighter Within lol. It's pretty inconsistent though, some only have Assassin's Creed, some only have Fighter Within, some only have Ghost, or Battlefield 4, or a combination, or no Xbox One games at all. I mean, you'll have to search for it, but it's only $2 to rent, which is cheaper than buying.

It's probably just marketing speak, or indication of what state the build for the public is in.

The game itself is probably done and going into cert now.

Strange. My friend got this when he signed up. I gave in and signed up and I also had this (but I did it through my phone). I had to scroll through all that in order to check off the box and register.
