XSX version scoring 15 points higher than PS5 version...

So if it's "free" it deserves better rating?

It's based on 4 reviews and 2 of the sites have Xbox in their name . . .

Resident Evil Resistance with dedicated servers, balance issues sorted out and some variety in survivors tasks is all they really need to create a sucessful mutiplayer game.

I am confident the game will be kept up for a while, simply for all the gamepass players. As March Climber March Climber said, the biggest issue with the game is the price tag on what should've been a f2p gaas title. It's fun when you play it for 1-2h per evening. Especially since it was free in gamepass, I could just go and check it out. I would've never gotten it for full price.

This will most likely flop and the learnings Capcom will infer from that will be that no one is interested in a new, proper Dino Crisis...

Literally one of the game's biggest barriers is it's own price. It's a fun game and at the same time people acknowledge that 59.99 was a dumb decision.

It's the same price on Xbox aswell, just happens to also be in a subscription service.

That really shouldn't effect the score.

Price effects expectations so it often is taken into account. This is why many reviewers specifically say that you should wait for a sale as at current full price a game is not worth it.

The issue with exoprimal is the fact that even if it was free its just not a particularly good game compared to other free 2 play games. It also treats the player in its monetisation as if its the utter worst of F2P games, it literally has every shitty practice in the book.

Which is what makes it hilarious. People are highlighting that it's unique and trys something new, the issue is that PvEvP is not particularly fun to play. It would not suprise me if this game started off as Lost Planet 4 but some Capcom exec told them to turn it into a game as a service or its cancelled.

This is the only part that isn’t true. The game literally showers you with in game currency(due to 2 different leveling systems player level and exo level) AND provides lootboxes with really good rare drop rates. You can use all of that currency to buy most things in the game(assuming you don’t get them already from a loot box) and only 2 out of 10 character skins are locked behind a paywall.

The practices themselves are seen as shitty because tons of developers and publishers make them that way. Capcom did not do what other devs did with these systems.

With updates and event support this could easily be another multiplayer pillar for them like Monster Hunter.

Would've gone a long way if they made a base area to run around in and talk to vendors or something. And more unique boss fights. I'm here for all the updates and hope they do a part 2.

Roadblock 20. Really enjoy the class now that I understand it. Equip the heal Rig and you can turn the tide of a whole team on your own with almost no support.

On to Krieger, Nimbus, Murasame next. Murasame is fun once you realize how he's a "tank" and not a DD. Kind of an original take on the job. More of a crowd control slicer with counters for large hits.

Probably going to plat this. Seems relatively easy.

Roadblock is absolutely crazy. We've had the tide completely turn in a payload/escort mission because our roadblock pushed far up and kept the other team from their data cube. I just sat back at Nimbus and kept him healed and we slowly caught up and eventually won. Absolutely beast of an exosuit, though I still haven't tried him myself.

I wish Turok would come back, DOOM 2016 style maybe.

After putting in like 10 hours+ Capcom has made some baffling business decisions with this, especially combining a paid title with GAAS framework but creatively this is the Capcom we had from the early 360 era or earlier. We need new IPs, it's far more interesting to play than Monster Hunter, Resident Evil or Street Fighter again.

Glad I supported a new IP despite it having obvious glaring issues it's fun as fuck and quite addicting once it clicks properly.

What time is it?
Doing an achievement a day with this for the last couple of days. I'm 3-0 now. It still seems pretty fun but it really makes me wish we had an EDF game focused on dinosaurs and would be made all the better with production value and movement/combat mechanics found in this title.

Whoever green lit this idea and thought this was a better direction to go instead of a Dino Crisis reboot/remake/sequel should be fired.

Yeah I wouldn't purchase at full price tbf but I'm enjoying it on Gamepass, burns a few hours away here and there.

Deadeye lvl 18 now. I mostly choose the PvE option during the dino survival mode.
Seems to have a decent amount of suits with 10 more coming soon I believe.

Story is meh, but I'm enjoying the gameplay overall. Doesn't seem to have a really big build variety so far, but with the amount of suits, it makes up for it. I'm relatively early in the game and haven't maxed out any modules yet.

This would definitely be fun with a group, but I have been playing it solo so far.
Matchmaking seems to be decently quick so I imagine it's doing alright population wise. I noticed it tends to be mostly Xbox players. Maybe 80% with the Capcom logo being the other 20%.
Do PS5 players get their own logo?

I'm currently at:
Witch Doctor 24
Skywave 22
Roadblock 20
Murasame 16
Nimbus 16
Deadeye 16
Krieger 8

Didn't get to play anything the last few days. Going to play more tonight and probably 3 classes to 20.

Does anyone know what the max level is for each suit?
Edit: Is level 20 the sweet spot to unlock all the class specific modules?

I believe it's 100. Though it looks like the class rewards drop off after 20. Not 100% sure on that, but that's why I'm getting everyone to 20.

I will probably go to 20 for each suit and then move onto the next suit til I get all to 20.
Enjoying Deadeye a lot and will probably try Barage next.
That's my plan. Pretty much have a plat by then too except for a few random achievements that aren't hard to get.

I think they plan on adding new modules in future updates, which may be at higher levels. We'll see.

The firm sells software in 230 countries and regions, by far the largest number among Japanese publishers, according to Toyo Securities analyst Hideki Yasuda. It’s set a goal of selling 100 million copies per year, from the 41.7 million mark it set in the fiscal year ended March.

You're absolutely right about the price, and yet...I'm one of the people that actually paid for it (PS5, no GP) and God damn, I already got my money's worth since I've put 50+ hours since release day.

Game is like digital crack, remember bungie's mantra "5 minutes of fun" regarding Halo's game-loop back in the day ? This is like that ad infinitum, you can't put the friggin joypad down, it's that fun when you finally "get it"/it clicks.

Unfortunately, even without the bad MSRP (should have been a 40 Eurodollars game), this game suffers from the usual "Gamepass syndrome" - people with a bad case of OCD and FOMO not knowing what to play next giving whatever title a try for 5-10 minutes and if it something doesn't "click" then it gets categorized as a "shitty, I mean, there's people that found it shitty and they dropped the game at the Capcom ID creation part ffs.

Make no mistake, this isn't a 1st party, bad shilled game like Redfall, this runs at 60fps, has good graphics (with hundreds of enemies on screen), every character is fun to use and the combat and game loop - the most important parts - are fun and addicting as hell.
Unfortunately - and this is the game's fault - it doesn't exactly explain to you the fact that the more you play and the more story cutscenes you unlock you also get presented with more game modes, levels and new enemies, this is why I say that many people, had 3-4 games tops and then proceeded to shit on it by saying that the game only offers 1 mode and that "it's repetitive".

Shit, go play the final raid with other 9 people (it's all co-op), with a huge-ass Gundam-like mecha in the background throwing lasers and shit at you while at the same time having to defend against hundreds of small dinos AND T-rexes and also having to defend points to charge up the hammer , proceeding to the boss's final phase with all players spamming the ❤️ and "let's do this ! " emojis and then come and tell us that's it not "fun".

This is a motherfucking Capcom game through and through, maybe most of their previous MP attempts were bad/mediocre (Umbrella corps/Resistance/Verse) but this surely ain't one of them, in fact, it's the exact opposite.

Fun fact : due to some.good (late) reviews and good word of mouth the player base has gotten way bigger than 2 weeks ago, something which is very positive for the game's future..The Monster hunter collaboration is already in the works but just imagine a Lost Planet one with new LP mechs/exosuits having to fight Akrids... chef's kiss.jpg

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
I don't agree.. game seems fun all around

I actually agree with it. The games progression is wack. The narrative is so wild and stupid that I am seeing it through despite the games terrible progression.

They should have just made a bare bones ass single player mode to go with it.

Idk, progression seems to be ok for me. Story is the weakest point and it really could use more maps/modes, but what's there is fun.
With the release of new alpha variants of each suit, it could result in even more varied builds as most builds seem to use the same modules and only really vary by what rig they use and whether they play PvP or PvE.

I'm currenltly leveling my first tank, but enjoyed 3/4 assault suits. Not really liking the Sniper suit, but that was what I expected.

The 10 player "raid" like event is ok, but I think it would be nice to have a raid with less players going through multiple environments and phases. 10 players on a team is just too chaotic and I don't think you even have comms with the team you didn't get matched with (could be wrong about that)

There is barely any progression. You get some cool mods but the effects are pretty minimal. No one is holding back their team just because theyre missing modules. The main thing that matters is knowing how to play.

All 4 posters above can all be correct at the same time. The experience you get from the game has so many little variables and one of the bigger ones is the first 4-5 hour experience. Variables that will hopefully be solved with more future content releases and changes from feedback.

I dont tell people theyre wrong for not liking the game. I get it. But that reddit rant is wrong that new players have to grind to be able to be on par with higher level players. They really dont. The biggest gap is just experience, not a slightly faster reload mod or 5% damage reduction.

For some suits, the modules can make a noticeable differance. In particular, Barrage is so much better with the right mods.
So far, for the other classes, the difference isn't as big.

Since the game pits you against other teams most of the time, they need to keep it so new players aren't overwhelmed against vet players. The right composition and good team comms probably make more of a difference than individuals with good modules though.
