eXtas1s: Diablo IV, Starfield, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Fallout 4, CoD coming to Nintendo Switch 2

The number of leaks surrounding the Switch 2 is unprecedented for Nintendo. The company is usually known for keeping its reveals under tight wraps, but with the Switch 2, we've seen an unusually high amount of information leak. I've never seen anything like this from Nintendo before, not even with their games.

No Halo, Gears or Indi?

They began mass manufacturing before they announced the product. I don't know why they thought they could do this without leaks.

Bring in Halo MCC, put it all on the cartridge, and I'll happily buy it on Switch 2.

The most consistent themes I've seen about Switch 2 third party support is:

1. It's a lot easier to port PS5 games to Switch 2 than it was to port PS4 games to Switch
2. MS is going to be the platform's biggest third party

So this lines up with that.

I mean most of the games rumoured here are actually cross gen or outright PS4/XO gen games.

How are Starfield and Flight Simulator supposed to run on a 1.1Ghz 8 core Cortex A78 when they sometimes struggle to run on a 3.4Ghz 8 core Zen 2? I know the Cortex A78 has superior IPC but it's not nearly enough to offset a 3x gap in CPU clocks.

On the one hand, no way. That alone proves it's fake!

On the other hand, nature finds a way. And a force even greater than nature, is Microsoft in thirsty mode. They probably would have cornered them into a Game Boy Color version if they felt it necessary to get their money back.

Wouldn't literally any game be a possibility if cloud versions are an option?

Switch 1 already got waaaay more cloud-version support than I would've thought initially. I doubt that'll just stop with Switch 2, if anything I'd imagine we'll see even more of it going forward and that Nintendo has prepared their hardware more for that kind of thing this time.

Switch 2 getting Starfield before the PS5 after all the port begging.

And he won't even sell it to pay the port.
Imagine playing on the subway and seeing a loading screen.

That's why the Xbox became third party, the game is completely shit and will be a bomb in portable mode with a loading screen all the time, but the guys "what about Sony, what about the PlayStation?"

Yes. As I said, "the listed games on this news".
Missed your post later, but these are not even confirmed games, never mind launch games.

Besides if they did launch the Switch 2 with these games plus MP4 and Mario kart, id say that would be the best launch day line up of all time.

Oh, I see, I was answering to other person. Anyways as I said I was just being harsh to the listed games, not the launch line up.

I think these are just some ports MS are working on. Not all will be at launch.

What I'm curious about is how the Nintendo crowd will react to ports in general as most are Nintendo-centric gamers by large.
People were fine buying third party games on Switch so In sure they will be fine here. Most games sold on Switch were third party.

No, the power gap with PS5/XSX is about as big.
But it doesn't matter as much this time since games are already optimized for the weaker XSS and Switch 2 will have DLSS.

In terms of GPU power both Switch to Switch 2 and PS4 to PS5 are roughly a x5 jump, plus architectural improvements.

DLSS is a huge equalizer.

And let's be honest: diminishing returns are clearer than ever this generation, hence the very long cross generation period. Combined with the xss, as you mentioned, and the rise of portable PCs, we can agree that the effort to port modern games to switch 2 will be much less than it was for switch 1 at the time.
