A 'source' told ExTas1s that Gears of War E-Day is scheduled for 2026, with a very slim possibility of being moved foward to 2025. This source also told him the long desired Gears of War Collection is currently scheduled for 2025, with a reveal set for The Xbox Showcase this year, the game is also coming to PS5, XSX/PC Day One, there's no info information on a Nintendo Switch 2 port.​

I actually hope they do no such thing. Port the original 3 games as they are (with res/texture updates, obviously, but nothing else). Ultimate Edition, in my eyes, was a step back from OG Gears 1. Nothing like rockin' folks on the 360 in the 2007-'09 period in that game and Ultimate Edition did not bring that same fun factor.

I thought it was brilliant when I played them all back to back recently. The 1st 3 games are all bio-horror. Flesh, bugs, tentacles, etc. Starting out with the robot shit was such a consciously designed breath of fresh air. The graphics and art design were easily better than the 1st 3. Looked like FFXIII in parts. They honor the old games the whole time and the old cast. And some of the new guns were sick as hell. Knife melee and grabbing people over cover was a nice addition. For the life of me I have no clue what you guys have a problem with. But nothing new there. I rarely agree with people.

Its literally one of the best ones. I just played it so I dont need people to tell me how it is. Just sayin. I am always surprised at some of the popular opinions that gather steam though.

But you can play all of them already on GamePass? I did when the Series X launched. Only played 1 and some of 2 on Xbox 360 when they released.

The 360 games are going to feel very dated unless they are changing them up.

I very much want it to be true, just because Gears 3 is the best one in the series, and I'd like the series to be better preserved since 360 emulation isn't that great outside if you use Xbox backwards compatibility.

4 and 5 were decent games, but the best part about them for me how well keyboard/mouse controls translated to the series. I want to use torque bow in 3 with mouse aim playing Horde Mode.
