[eXtas1s] Gears of War Trilogy Collection will be announced as multiplatform, day one on PS5, remasters of all 3 games, crossplay between PS5/Xbox/PC

The greatest thing to come out of all this for us on GAF is having to just imagine the Gears of War montages from the Delta Squad of GAF: Ass of Can Whooping Ass of Can Whooping , Bryank75, Bo_Hazem and ethomaz showcasing the Playstation wallbouncing skills on their PS5's against the green rats!

This is the worst timeline in gaming. 🤮🤮🤮

As one of the best in my country you have not a clue of what are you suggesting to other people..
Gears 1 is the best multiplayer of all and gears 2 was shit due to shotgun beeing entirely different and bugged in the beginning.
Gears 1 will always be the game simple but also skilled with no atrocious guns like the other games.
Also a good lancer dude could easily destroy a shotgun dude if he knew how to play.
Gears 1 was the best multiplayer skilled game that i have ever played there is no chance that a noob could kill a veteran even with a launcer...

I agree with Gears 1 having the best multiplayer. Story wise its hard for me to pick as the trilogy all have there high points, but G1 has the purest multiplayer. I felt it had the right playercount and felt more tactical than the others, alot slower paced with some long tense stand offs, a battle of patience and picking the right moment when you had 2 good teams against each other. Gears 2 and 3 were still good but I felt they had outside influence from other games and they become more full on action and we lost those tense stand offs.

While this could be true, I will still have my doubts because they would have announced it during the presentation they had couple of weeks ago ?

would have made a nice impact too.

I don't think xbox can realistically announce it all at once - that would be a sega move in terms of killing their user confidence stone cold over night.

Unlike Sega, MS have to consider the 30m GP subscribers and try to keep them on board to some extent. The stench of failure can close up a wallet, and while the hardware is dead, GP still generates income with most of those subs on the console. Kill the console with bad news, spook the users to other platforms, and those subs die too.

I'm already a little surprised at FH5 coming before they looked at Starfield, which was supposed to be multiplat before the Zeni acquisition. It would have been an easier message to start with those newer acquired studios before going to Forza, yet they've gone straight in for a core Xbox franchise.

I think they'll let this news bed in for a while - months maybe only weeks - and then announce the next one. Even these leaks / rumors are setting the scene and letting the user base come to acceptance.

Forza is in fact the most succesful MS studios IP out there. FH5 is being played much more than Halo and Gears, still having a healthy amount of players on Steam alone. They just went and immediately took their biggest game of this generation after testing with Hi Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves.

Starfield probably faces too much backlash, its a very divisive game. Maybe they don't want to lose face with a mediocre release or something. In this light i'm not too sure about Halo Infinite either, many players hate it and its long been abandoned. MCC would make sense, and a new game.

If there is indeed a Gears collection, they should do what they did with MCC on PC: add one game at a time to give it time to shine, and that includes Judgment.

I loved the original GOW trilogy, but GOW Ultimate was like a slap in the face. They ruined the original game, so I have very low expectations for eventual remasters 😃😂
