Meh, receipt would have long gone by now, and I can't be assed to write a letter of complaint when hardly anyone else has had a response. I am hoping to catch onto the bandwagon of 360 owners rushing out to get a wheel for F1 2010 now so I can at least get most of my money back!!!

I don't have the standards of "hardcore racing sim" gaf, but hot damn I love it. Codemasters aces another game.

Played about 30 minutes. Japan and Monte Carlo. G27 wheel. With everything maxed (either high/ultra), 1600*1200, 4X AA the game was running at what seemed like a locked 65fps. Butter smooth. Even Monte Carlo in the rain (insanely gorgeous) was butter. GPU was only clocking around 55-60 percent load (D3D v-sync enabled) too. Running a quad core Q9400 (still at stock 2.66) and a 460GTX at stock settings. So hardly cutting edge.

I have a feeling I'm going to love, love, love it.

Well, that fills me with confidence. I have a Q9400, but clocked at 3.6Ghz coupled to a GTX275 (Itself OC'ed a bit too). Using that as a guide I hope to see 60fps in the game at 1920 x 1080 using 4x AA.

I have already paid for my copy, yet it hasn't quote got to my door yet, it doesn't mean I'm going to download the game while I wait. It's not the done thing here, it's not legal and frankly, it's a bit foolish to say.

Possibly a weird pseudo triple buffering system or the game internally runs at 36fps in some way? Weird. Glad you've got the issue narrowed down though.

On a different note, I've been following this thread loosely for a bit now. How much of a learning curve would an F1 game be for someone who has only played games like GT, Forza, GTR2, Grid, Dirt, etc?

The hype in this thread has got me really interested now.

I have also discovered that if you start on the PRIME, pit on lap 2 for options, you are in a good chance for points, the primes are like anchors.
