Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Gust have announced Fairy Tail 2 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC (Steam). It will launch this holiday.

Fairy Tail 2brings fans back to the epic action of the original series’ climax, the Alvarez Empire Arc. In this new title, players will not only be able to control Natsu and Lucy as main characters, but also other members of the Fairy Tail guild in order to defeat their greatest enemy, Zeref, the Emperor Spriggan of the Alvarez Empire, who is protected by the Spriggan 12 and the Black Dragon, Acnologia.

Fairy Tail 2 features 3D graphics and improved gameplay with more intense and spectacular battles, in which players will use powerful magic and a variety of other strategic elements in order to take down enemies in stunning sequences of action. Players will also be able to explore the vast map seamlessly, enhancing the experience of the original work while furthering the thrilling story of the final chapter.

In addition, the game features “Character Stories,” unique to Fairy Tail 2, which will give players the unprecedented opportunity to discover new aspects of their favorite characters. Fans will also enjoy an original story, the “Key to Hidden Secrets,” that will allow them to experience events taking place after the final battle of the original work!

The first one looked great and I heard it was good if you're a fan of the show. I need to try it one day. I started the anime but quit when that girl had to fight her own summons that she lost control of the story seemed boring. Later found out it was just filler content and I could have skipped it. So glad filler in anime is becoming more rare it's ruined so many anime (Naruto).

As one of the probably 5 or Fairy Tail fans on this board, I am incredibly disappointed they did the black void censorship AGAIN on all platforms. If you wanna censor for Sony go ahead, but this is horse shit in a game from an IP where fanservice is one of the key features. Won't be picking this up this time, I got hoodwinked by the first one.

Honestly it kinda looks like shit anyways, and they switched the combat for a generic action RPG shlock, probably copied from the awful gacha.

They changed the combat system? Haven't seen that, the first game was pretty good as a fairy tail fan

Yea mods will fix it to a certain extent on PC, but I can't support that kind of fuckery at full price. I don't even know why they bother when the IP is full of stuff like this:
