Yeah this is a videogame, I think you got the wrong hobby.

Videogames have voice acting and or dialog. Why can't nintendo given metroid prime 4 an actual story? Why can't they give samus an actual character with good writing? That's a reasonable expectation for a series that could use better stories and that leans more to the adult grouping of nintendo fans.

Would prefer it if she got to pilot one of those Federation Mecha instead. Given that Highway scaffolding and Cave section looks like you can take the Metroid Cycle just about anywhere. I can see some potential but at the same time it feels so out of place for a Metroid game.

People didn't like the gameplay of other M but the cutscenes and story divisive as they might've been were a step in the right direction in terms of trying to give samus an actual personality and story. My opinion anyway.

Agreed. It's just dumb and out of place. Samus pilots a flying ship of her own, but to cross large swaths of empty-looking space, she rides a hog. Why couldn't she pilot something a little more interesting? Give her a kickass jetpack or hoverboard.

And it would seem that is exactly what they are doing. The demo showed some beautiful cinematic cut-scenes with voice acting. Samus remained silent, and Sylux just be eye fucking people as he should. You want the rest of the story, read the fucking lore.

Don't need no GTA the novella, or cry cry for my mommy resident evil 9 bullshit up in here. Keep the plague of terrible drama away from my precious Prime. It has fucked with enough games.

Give me the bike, give me that dope ass music, give me the bad ass fights, crazy amazing art style, oppressive atmosphere, and just give me the fucking game. Now.

Game looks wild. They be drip feeding how much time and effort gone into this. It's probably a massive game. I hate how they kinds just casually drop it thru the directs, but it's clear they have a path for this game. Journey to Launch Day begins eh?

Fuck Nintendo. The rest of this direct was pretty meh honestly but you got me with this one. Can't wait for the inevitable bike boss battle in the over world with a little grapple beam thrown in.

Bet a whole lot of surprises in store. Amazing this thing is running on a Switch 1.

Anyone else pissed that they seemingly aren't re-releasing 2 & 3 before the release of 4.

I mean, I guess they could release 2 via Gamecube emulation on the Switch 2, but 3 is a Wii game, so I'm assuming it would need its own standalone re-release.

Given that Prime 3 was released 18 years ago, you'd think Nintendo would realize that a re-release prior to Prime 4's release would print money...

I could play a new one every year. i just find them so fun. and they arent too long. Metroid Zero mission remains my most replayed video game overall (in terms of playing a SP campaign from start to finish)

theres a reason that formula essentially spawned a whole genre

The reviews will be good and it will be a very good game 99.99999% (like previous Prime games).

...this is not what the guy said though, the critiscism so far has been regarding the graphics which could definitely be better.
As an example, the new Mario tennis looks really nice and exactly what you'd expect from a Mario Switch 2 game but Prime 4, IMO, doesn't look all that so far.

For me it doesn't even have to do with the visual fidelity of the motorcycle sequences, I don't even care about that. I just don't want to be riding a motorcycle in an open world or quasi open world or really at all in my Metroid game.
