Everything about it works so perfectly. It is written so wonderfully and it just such an atypical experience.
In my experience, the rich kids aren't doing it because they feel like it's the one thing they're good at but rather because it's a cool option that they can afford. The poor kids are doing it because they can't see themselves doing anything else. At least in Illustration/Cartooning, it seemed to skew more towards the latter group.
I was one of those rich kids.

I guess I can see that but the richer kids in my program do end up doing better than me for a number of reasons. Live closer to school (walking distance) have enough money to go to events and gallery's and what not.
