I'm not looking forward to finding an apartment in the future. It's gonna take an eternity due to expenses and I probably won't be able to take my dog with me.
I can afford it and everything. I just don't feel like going through everything

What program are you animating with?
I used Trulia when researching apartments. They have a lot of data for comparisons, including a crime map to see if the neighborhood is safe.
I'm unsure how to interpret this.

This is the dude I'm doing frames for atm. I'm being a bit more ambitious with the quality on this guy and he has a ton of stupid layers for pieces of skin and stuff so I can get all kinds of little secondary and tertiary motions that make it look.. uhh.. juicier?
I don't know if that sounds better or worse than what my place looks like now.

I used Trulia as well but in NYC. And if I find like an apartment building or real estate company on there, I also start keeping track of their own listings.

I think I used that a bit. I've been using a lot of Zillow and craigslist and a few other sites.
I know the area I want. Just need to contact a few places and get appointments which will be a mess of during the day on weekdays

Through the timeline thing? You can check the RAM allowance through edit > prefs > performance. Photoshop seems like a textbook example where more RAM is better.
Btw that baddie looks fantastic. I like how it gets slightly darker when it hunkers down.

Yeah I plan to open it up tonight or tomorrow and put the ram in. It's just a pain in the ass to get to because of all the shit that's plugged into it and draped all over it.
I animate using Photoshop's built in timeline, yeah. I tend to draw a key frame (or sometimes several key frames, depending on the character) that need to be animated from and then cut them up into pieces and manipulate them frame by frame.
To get the subtle post effects like the lighting moving I do that late in the process, in this case I added a copy of each layer on top of itself, blurred, and blended in with varying % of color burn.
I think I could do a lot more if I got into after effects but I keep putting off learning the program.

This is so cool. All of that hard work you pour into this game keeps showing itself. Really good stuff. Do you ever record your workflow while animating or w/e?
The only thing I know how to do in AE is make gifs. And motion tracking...for gifs.

I wonder if they share the same databases. They seem to have a bit different criteria (and iirc transportation and crime and stuff are on trulia but not Zillow)
I'll have to check the same houses on both sites and see the difference

I used to have full on white blonde hair until I was 11 or so.
I have no idea why so many women dislike the 'mousey' blonde colour.

Report back if you find any difference or lack thereof. All I know is that Zillow bought out Trulia last year, but they may still be operating semi-independently.
