we didn't even go on a date! I don't know what's going on lately but all I get are super excited messages like "YOURE SO GREAT WE NEED TO DATE" and then two days later I never hear a word from them. not kidding, pretty much happened to all my manly contacts over the last two months.

Remember it's online dating so the rate at which someone can drop/pick up new people is insanely fast, and can happen for whatever reason.
That's why I always say don't buy into, or create significance in what you talk about before meeting in person, as it's all subject to change within a second of doing so.
Probably not phrasing that the way I want to, but anyhow. Basically it really doesn't matter what the tone of the conversation is before ever meeting in person.
