Oooooh it was that guy. I'm sorry, I completely forgot about that.well this time it's more like I already know the guys in RL and we didn't even talk much online...they just suddenly came up to me being all "woooh let's do this!!" and I'm like "yeah okay!

Yeah that's a pain in the ass, and I wouldn't bother chasing it either. Flakiness seems to be a huge problem with our generation. The amount of plans made with friends with that amount of enthusiasm leading to nothing is incredibly frustrating haha.
Thought it was just especially bad in the Bay Area.

Yeah, I had a four hour layover in Munich on the flight to New Delhi and five hours waiting there on the flight back.

well with the last guy we actually talked almost the whole day through before it suddenly stopped. just casual topics, what we're doing right now, sending pics etc.
I don't think I was weird or anything like that.
with the guy before there wasn't really any follow up conversation. he asked me out, I said yes and then went to bed because it was late. he keeps liking my stuff on fb but never spoke of it again.
Munich is nice. I stayed in a hostel there overnight while waiting for my train to Vienna. Munich is also the reason I missed out on getting to know a really great girl more too.
Very odd. I would just put those two out of your mind then and move on. That's pretty weird behavior for people that are actively looking to meet.
Maybe they got cold feet when it came time to actually commit?

A lot of dating sites are like that. As several girls that I chatted with confirmed that abusive/weird guys are in majority and due to that a lot of (quite) normal guys end without any reply

I liked it fine. Pretty similar to some of the larger, upscale airports in America, most specifically the one in Houston Texas. It was clean and efficient, which is most of what I care about in an airport.
Yeah, I ventured out with a couple of my friends. There's a train you can take into town from the airport so we did that, then walked around for a little bit. I got a pretzel
I think some of it was lost on me since I was exhausted at the time and don't understand the German language, but I was still excited to be there.

@trab, some guys will be raring to go until a girl actually agrees to meet up. then they get cold feet and shy away. It's weird, I know.
About the girl, I'm probably romanticizing it more than it deserves, but anyways.
While I was over there backpacking I was traveling from Lyon to Vienna. In Paris I switched trains, and after I sat down this really cute French girl sat down next to me. We started chatting and there was that really weird connection between us that you can't really explain. The whole train ride was just getting to know each other and sharing stories from France and the US. She was going to medical school in Paris and on her way back home to visit family.
I think her stop was Strasburg or somewhere, can't remember but it wasn't Munich. Anyways, I should have gotten off with her and just went with the flow (she asked if I wanted to). For some reason I thought my hostel reservation in Munich was more important though, so I stayed on the train. She even did the whole "turn, smile and wave longingly" while the train was leaving and watched from the station. I still kick myself for not getting off or at least trying to keep connected with her.

My experience was very much biased by the fact that the people we went to visit and help out were anticipating and quite welcoming of us, so it's quite possible that I got an overly high interpretation of the general disposition. Most everyone I came into contact with was very gracious and generous, and also very curious.
It's strange as an outsider coming in and seeing the trash and squalor so many of them live in, but they don't act like it's trash and squalor. It's bog standard to them, so they mostly just go about their lives. (mind you, this isn't at all universal standard. Several people in the larger cities are living something closer to contemporary civilized life)
