Thanks. It's nerve wracking to think about. Very scary. He's my best friend. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be a mess when the time comes haha. I'm so awkward sometimes. My anxiety makes things hard.
He's in Cali and I'm currently in Pennsylvania. It hasn't been without some bumps. No relationship is easy, but there's something to be said about the lack of physical interaction.
Lol its definitely something that has crossed my mind. If things don't work out, I'll just be happy for the time we had and the memories. It will suck, yes, but I haven't had any improved luck with relationships that have occurred in person. Was in an abusive relationship for 6 years.

I've done it a couple of times and my experience is such that when things are long distance you get to know the person very well very quickly since all there is is talking. Emotional bonds form quickly in these kinds of situations. But, when real life happens often the person you are with doesn't live up to the idealized version they present themselves as online or on the phone.
I'm not wishing this on you Seaking but just a word of warning. Try to be pragmatic and keep your expectations in check.

I believe it's easy to throw expectations and idealizations on anyone in any relationship. It's hard not to, but I try to be realistic when it comes to him. We both have health issues and are cancer survivors, so remembering my own set backs and reality helps keep things in check on his behalf.
And yes, there's a lot of talking and getting to know everything about the person, so you can connect pretty easily.

Yes were both in remission and have been for a while, but life after isn't without problems or potentially worse issues. Chemo puts a lot of potential for other issues like obesity, heart disease, other cancers, depression, neurological issues, etc etc. Life can be hard sometimes, but I have this major feeling that I've never felt with anyone before.
