Yeah in English there is a difference between the place it is made and the coin.
In the Netherlands the place is called the same as the coin (Munt)
I think in German it is the same. both Münze, like in Hamburgische Münze

In the 90's I was playing Pokemon with my 4 year old friends. Gaming started at an early age for me. Made playing difficult early on when reading was still new to me.

It was a perfect time and the last time to live in a less connected world. Most kids didn't have cell phones. THere was no such thing as social media. It was special. Life was more simple and exciting. Now everything's just noise.

A lot of the time, whenever someone adopts a new persona for the internet, it ends up being an extremely shitty version of their real one. It's best if you just behave the same way on the internet and irl.
They actually appear to be different. According to google the money one is based off the Latin word moneta and the plant is based off the Greek word minthe
Seems that all the Germanic languages picked it up around the same time though so the similarity just happened early on and it just stuck
