And lgbt rights were non existent. Good timesIt was a perfect time and the last time to live in a less connected world. Most kids didn't have cell phones. THere was no such thing as social media. It was special. Life was more simple and exciting. Now everything's just noise.
A lot of the time, whenever someone adopts a new persona for the internet, it ends up being an extremely shitty version of their real one. It's best if you just behave the same way on the internet and irl.

I swear more irl. I think this is mostly me though.
From my limited purview it was a perfect time. I imagine it wasn't perfect if you were LGBT.
agreed.
but I think it's unintetional. like subconsciously we are always editing ourselves online to be more articulate, more attractive etc
I think the human tendency is to want to have our ego boosted by whatever means necessary and in the age of "likes" and retweets people can't help themselves.
Haha I don't edit myself at all online. Offline sure though. Anxiety gets the better of me a lot more offlineagreed.

I didn't think I was back then so it seemed pretty nice for me tooFrom my limited purview it was a perfect time. I imagine it wasn't perfect if you were LGBT.
Could have been better though
Lol that is very unlike you.I was explaining architectural complexities of the PS2 to someone and dropping F bombs a bit too loudly and got shushed by an office lady today at work
I was a very oblivious little kid. Like for everything. Couldn't notice negativity in anyone. Nice in a way:: pats your head awkwardly ::

Wrong
Well I'm still overall optimistic about people but just notice the bad things that happen. So it's not all badMy nieces are like that! I hope they don't change but I'm sure they will
This isn't true. I didn't dress like that, my friends didn't either. Just depends where you look. A bunch of old people wandering the street don't exactly encapsulate a whole era of fashion.
Another favorite hairstyle
I went a bought a jacket that looks like his lolLooking like a darker tone Terry from Garou
I approve

Thanks for your post in the dating thread granadier. Just be careful you don't get in trouble though.
Oh I missed this. Thanks floaty. Just ignore him, he's an ass and we don't need to lose anyone over him.as someone who has been through divorce I am fucking livid over that dating thread
really sorry about that whole thing Lucian. both your divorce and that guy in the thread being an idiot about it.
I understand. It took all my strength to not say more than I did. That was something that probably should have been filtered because it didn't contribute to the thread and was just anger, but his comments really ticked me off.
edit: dp ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Trab, you would have had to endure inline skaters everywhere here in the 90's.
I think there were different cultures around them. Blading was more like going on a bike ride whereas skateboarding was more of a hangout thingI remember skateboarding way more than blading. Blading was always like the bootleg skating

At least that's my perception

is it worth it afterwards tho?I know this feel.
In fact it is a feel I am experiencing right now
Sometimes when I go to work out I'm so tired I think "I'd rather die"
haha <3 just right.bitch you trippin', I NEVER rollerbladed, I played music, listened to music, sat around bullshitting, doing nothing, etc. Lot of doing nothing.
aw =(
I guess that's you... not flattering but it's all I got on short notice
Yep. Skateboarding was an entire subculture, and so it required more devotion to the sport in order to be "cool". Bladin was more like something you'd do on the weekends for exercise, but you had to bust out that killer neon windbreaker too.

Always.is it worth it afterwards tho?
Always.
Why does everyone else have such a different experience of exercising than me?Yep. Releases endorphins and makes you feel great.
Why does everyone else have such a different experience of exercising than me?
Maybe I should see a doctor about that tbh
