Falcom reportedly expanding the Kiseki games to more platforms (3DS, Smartphones, PC)

so what exactly makes Tierkreis a low-mid budget game in your eyes? you should give examples.

it has higher production values than most DS games i have played.

It was a DS title, and this factor alone leads to low budgets. It was not technically impressive either.

they changed platforms, that was the point. you don't change platforms like that when you're happy with feedback and sales.

Well, PSP was the most reasonable platform to develop at that time. I would not be surprised to see a Suikoden on 3DS, now.

now don't act like we've been talking about an HD title all along. Tierkreis was well develeoped for a DS game. i've already explained why it wasn't your average low-budget RPG, i'm not going to repeat myself endlessly.

geez, now i know why the media create threads turned into unreadable dreck these last months.

I just said that Suikoden Tierkreis was a low-budget game to begin with, since it was specifically developed for DS; therefore, comparisons with PS2 games must be done within a context, since hardly Tierkreis sold more than V or Tactics. Then, I agreed with you that it was not a low-budget game on DS, but still it wasn't a high-budget game either. Clearly, I don't know exact numbers, but to me titles like Dragon Quest IX and Solatorobo costed more to be developed, and they had far bigger ad campaign (the second one in Japan, though), as well as Ni no Kuni, Final Fantasy IV, Inazuma Eleven 2. Suikode Tierkreis was not a high-budget title on DS, and for a mid-budget title, selling over 200k in the world was not bad at all. Then, if one wants to stress the fact that jRPG did not sell on DS, I'm not in.
