Kampfer could be mildly amusing, at the least it'll be better than Akikan, which isn't really glowing praise but whatever.

The armed librarian show however, Tatakau Shisho, was terrible in my opinion. So for me to say I liked a show where a high school guy changes into a woman to do magic battle more than this show should tell you how bad I thought the first episode was. But, I'll try and stick it out for a few more eps.

Read today on myanimelist forum that Darker than Black season 2 is only 12 episodes + 4 special episodes with the dvds/bds (16 total).

I want more DtB, FUCKING BONES FMA FILTH.

:(

That might be a good thing, since the first season of DtB dragged at parts and really didn't have a plot till episode 15 or so. And it says something about the plot when the mini-arc involving Yin is more compelling then the endgame scenario.

I have Bantorra and the new Biribiri spinoff... both look kinda bad.

And this is exactly why I want it like the first season, 25 episodes long.

they can fuck the main story however they see fit just gimme more good character stories like Huan and Yin.

and of course, more collarbones!

Emphasized for truth and justice! More Yin is never a bad thing.

So I'm trying to watch A Certain Scientific Railgun, and here's the good thing about it: no annoying loli-tan to muck it up, like Index. Here's the bad thing: shit setting and it's hard to muster up any interest in any of the characters, asides from Biribiri.

Bad doesn't even begin to describe it.

Terrible character designs, piss poor CG and an OP that gave me bad flashbacks of Avenger. Not even Paku Romi can save this train wreck :lol

Yeah, like I said Kanpfer was better than Bantorra and not because Kampfer was any good.

Every season, I tell myself I'll get back into Anime but I never seem to. At least I made some progress this time around, watched both seasons of Hajime no Ippo :P

lol.
Same here dude.
I stopped being a die hard watcher of anime a couple years back and I always say I'm going to get back into it, but no.

The good thing is there is no shortage of good/great series and movies...well except for this season apparently.
:D

Over at the dub side of the world:

Fist of the North Star - will be dubbed (the 20 from manga dub i heard plus the 134 that weren't) by this new company named DiscoTek Media...they also will do the Lupin series...

http://www.discotekmedia.com/blog/?p=28#more-28

Speaking of OSTan (and if old forgive me): Microsoft in its "wise" moves has made the Windows 7 OSTan, their official mascot for the Japanese release of Windows 7 :lol

Speaking of mascots - their still doing Stitch? Im not sure if the 52 eps have already finished yet..

for the third season in a row NOTHING!

Other than Darker than Black sequel which I am mildy interested in, there is absolutely nothing that looks interesting and it seems to be a bunch of typical fan service shit.

Kuuchuu Buranko doesn't look like "typical fanservice shit" >_>

And you must've missed Bakemonogatari last season :3

Buranko looks good, and Bakemonogatari is great. Although he might have skipped it based on the tend.

Railgun is surprisingly enjoyable, much more so than the anime it's spun off of. Get rid of Index and the show is ten times more watchable. It's full of fanservice though.

Oh yeah and Asura Cryin' season 2 continues the epic suckage that was season 1. It was never the worst premise or setting ever, but something about High School students all of a sudden wielding giant machines and being caught up in a war never asking any questions about why they're fighting, what their goals are, how to stop the world from ending, how long can the ghost girl survive conceivably, blah, blah, blah, it just fucking irritates me. It's like he's happy just being a pawn so long as he gets to hang around weirdo's.

I've pretty much lost interest in anime after no fansub team picked up the series based on the work of the author who wrote the Seirei no Moribito books.

I thought the first 14 episodes or so of Darker Than Black were fantastic. Gave off a very Bebop/Champloo sort of vibe. Apart from the silly 2 episodes with the detective guy.

The dub is also great. Anyway, hopefully season 2 will be more like the first half of season 1 than the letdown endgame thing.

More like the 6th season in a row, for me. I really hope DtB S2 is awesome 'cause I don't see anything else.

Kuuchuu Buranko is a definite watch for me, very excited.

Darker than Black was alright so I'll be watching that.

I'll check out Blue Literature. Actually a little surprised more people aren't.

Between Zetsubou Sensei and Bakemonogatari I've become fond of Shaft, so I think I'll go back and try season one of Natsu no Arashi and then season two if I like it.

And of course Umineko continues into this season. Five shows to watch, that's not bad. I'm making the most of this season!

Watched the first episode of The Sacred Blacksmith. Rather, I watched the first few minutes and skimmed through the rest looking for something remotely interesting.

Pretty meh so far.

I wanted to stab the eyes of both the main characters. So annoying. :lol

Letter Bee was awesome and Seitokai no Ichizon was...watchable. A lot of unexpected laughs despite its fanservicey nature. Dumb but funny, I guess.

I think the main girl said "I'm a knight from the Knight Guards of the Third Independent Trade City, Cecily Campbell" at least four times.

Flashback to Tweeny Witches ahoy!

Has anyone heard a thing on when the second Gurren Lagann movie is coming out on DVD? Seriously hasn't it been like 6 months since its theater release?

I know this doesn't have to do with the fall season, but the entire series of Baccano is up on Hulu for one month only. If you never checked it out while it was airing now is the time.

Good stuff.

Fall season is looking pretty abysmal now. I tried watching Sacred Blacksmith, and it's pretty bad. kampfer is pretty bad. Railgun is pretty average. Armed Librarians is god-awful. That's not a good track record thus far.

Well, hopefully DtB and Buranko will save the season for me.

randombly watched some episode 1's
Kämpfer - horrible
Tegami bachi - horrible
Sacred blacksmith- sort of horrible
something railgun - horrible
Sugo chara party - horrible^2
Tatakau shisho - horrible
Nyan koi - kinda funny.

mmeh

Awesome, I was thinking of seeing this.

I'm a couple of episodes in now and though I'm usually not a fan of dubs, I think the dubbing adds a lot to this show. Color me impressed.

There's going to be an actual 3rd season of Black Lagoon? I thought it was just a 2 ep ova.

Forgot there was a sequel to Kiddy Grade coming. I'll give that a shot, liked the original.

Damn, I just realised Seiken no Blacksmith is a manglobe show??

Seems pretty cookie cutter for a studio that has up til now done pretty much only alternative style shows :\

It really is odd. It's so different in tone from what they've done so far, and from what I've watched of it, it just isn't very good.

For those that read the Inuyasha manga, what chapter did the anime end on? I am watching Inuyasha the final act and don't even know what's going on.
For some reason, Kikyo is still alive in this episode. I remember she died in the last episode.
Thanks.

Nyan Koi: First episode was alright, going to watch a few more episodes while keeping my expectations low.

It's up to Blue Literature or Kuchu Buranko to redeem this season.

I've been out of the loop concerning anime for a long time, apart from watching the interesting fights in Bleach/Naruto once every 3 months.

Like most, the ones I loved the most were Cowboy Bebop/Samurai Champloo/Gurren Lagann/Black Lagoon and I recently watched Darker than Black and quite enjoyed that.

Is Michiko to Hatchin worth watching, not much here interests me. >_< Never know what to watch.

I guess it never hurts to try...but no, IMO, MtH is not worth watching. It has great animation...but very little action and the two main characters are really annoying.

I more or less gave up on it, skimming through episodes to see if it would get interesting again...it never did. That being said, I believe it has been pretty well received by many (don't now why, though).

Oh as far as my taste in anime go...all the ones you listed, baring Gurren Lagann, are among my favourites. Have you seen Baccano!? It aired around the same time as Darker Than Black and is right up there with Cowboy Bebop as my favourite anime.
