Fall 2013 Anime |OT2| The Rise and Fall of Kyoto

I own English versions of Crest of the Stars and 12 Kingdoms. You could try those too but they probably don't accomplish your objective of helping the English LN community since the publisher for those is all but dead.

I will look into Crest of the Stars, assuming I can stop at the third volume and not have to worry about not being able to continue with the sequel Banner of the Stars. I do not know if I will get The Twelve Kingdoms seeing as Tokyopop never finished the last four volumes, and I dislike having an incomplete series.

What about Kinos journey?

I have the anime and loved it, but I doubt I will ever get Tokyopop's one and only release since the novels are still continuing and as I stated above hate having an incomplete collection.

He's just a pitiful old man.
Time to go look the artbook...the blond girl is from 2.0, oh well.
Yeah blonde girl is actually the cover girl from 2.0 which is sadly not yet subbed. 1.0 itself only did sometime this Summer.

There's a surprising amount of Lucchini Christmas art compared to the other witches for some reason!
I wonder if anyone's done Christmas colour pants for Luchini~

HUm let's see :

27 *,165,883 Horizon
28 *,158,304 Blue Exorcist
30 *,155,964 Index
All of this is very entertaining stuff.

The sword art online alicialisation arcs started slow but became very good ( especially now )

Hataraku maou-sama is really great

Index new testament has the most WTF storyline ever
with a perfect united states of america president.
( and so many new characters )

Monogatari is legit awesome

Date a live got more waifus

Accel World is still good ( more battles , more guild stuff ).

Mondaichi-tachi is still entertaining , but i won't say much because it's spoiler ( problems , problems everywhere )

Strike the blood is index - lite so it make sense that it sells

Oreimo is garbage

Highschool dxd is more fun that you could imagine ( seriously , oppais , huge battles , dragons everywhere , harem stuff , a real pleasure )

Horizon didn't became less complicated.

No seriously i'm damn fine with this list ... It's seriously awesome.

Crest of the Stars is self contained. No need to find out what happens in Banner.

The Twelve Kingdoms books are mostly self contained anyway. I read the first and it was good enough for me.

Del Rey did the first two volumes of Zaregoto, too, but then they closed their manga division. Kodansha Comics USA should do a license rescue of it, although that's way less likely than Monogatari at this point.

oh yeh i read the first Zaregoto, it was ok but felt it was too in awe of genre conventions for my taste.
does anyone have any officially translated LN recommendations? i was toying with starting a LN OT a while back but ultimately put it off as i doubted there would be enough interest.

Now that I think about it, were Mondaiji-tachi and Strike the Blood selling that well before their anime aired? If not, that was a really nice boost.

Cutest hentai you'll ever see really. Shy moe galore and some surprising sakuga to boot.
That unbuttoning sakuga man. Amazing.
Porny bits make up the start and finish really rest is clean. Some funny event ordering going on too especially when
dude starts a date by trying to have sex then they proceed to have dinner and watch a movie.

Super straight forward episode. Nice to see Rikka humanized a bit though.
Wish there was more of Yuuta's family in the show.
Rikka's sis = still great. Collars = underrated.
The final shot this episode was deadly adorable.

Well if the USA never got the last 4 books , you never got the end of one of the anime sub plot ( black kirin ) ( unless the release method for usa was different ).

Not to mention that the universe is incomplete , having all the books at least close several plot threads that you might not know otherwise.
I'd even argue that all the book were going toward a single event ( that we never got unfortunatly ) so they aren't that separated from each other.

The question isn't really "is there more?" and more of "will I be satisfied reading just this one book?" and I think the answer easily is yes. It doesn't really leave anything hanging and although you now there are some mysteries left and lotsa other things will keep happening, its satisfying in its own right.

White Album 2 episode 9

All these feelings, I can't hold them.
Title of the episode is so damn apt. Touma really annoyed me, but so did Haruki. Seeing them make so many wrong choices... though toward the end Haruki did the right thing. If only he did it earlier.

You're looking a bit like you're from another world yourself there, Mom.

Character animation was a bit iffy, but the mecha animation and detailing was as strong as ever, which shows the obvious priorities of the show. The battles were pretty boring, but I suppose they're just scrub stuff anyway.

When they were talking about Gunpla getting damaged, all I could think was how much Namco "Bilk You" Bandai would love for this stuff to be real. Just think of the money they'd rake in by people purchasing replacement parts over and over again!

The stories in each book are very satisfying on their own , no doubt about it

Some of those stories just are following a set of events , even if the author changed the main character each time. that much was obvious.
As for the question : " will i be satisfied ?" yes and no .. some of them are awesome alone , other require knowledge of others to be fully understood.

White Album 2 Episode 8-9

Yeah looks like my fears are slowly being confirmed with this show. It hasn't really entered "bad" territory just yet but the things that have made this show an enjoyable watch in the first place are slowly dissolving as the story goes on. It still manages to retain its low-key atmosphere and its central theme of music is still very apparent but I'm just not sure what to think of these latest developments right now.

Looks like we have our clear contendor easily for 2nd best anime of 2014 right here. Wow that pv was such an epic experience in sound and drama. Truly the best kept secret of winter seasons, and such stellar character designs. Best moment.

Its actually upto 30 but I can't be bothered to write it all out. IS is 13th, Oreimo 14th, Haganai 16th and Kotenbu(!!!) is 29th at 157,423 copies.

EDIT: I lied, here's the whole list.

Impressive for Mahouka, hopefulyl anime boosts it, though it could be the case where everyone in its target audience is reading it, or they give it some 11 episode anime of sorts to cover only the first arc, which I hope they dont do.

Somehow surprised that Kokoro Connect isnt up there at all, wheres other stuff that havent had an anime for a bit are...

So how long did chickdigger get banned for the To Love Ru Darkness thread? He's truly an hero.

He'll be back before you know it!

I've been putting this off for a while for whatever reason, but after this episode I feel more compelled to go straight through to the end.

I don't know which is worse, anti-LN elitists, anti-YA elitists, or even if both groups are one in the same.

I like YA. I'm much more likely to point fingers at the Paranormal Romance, Romance and Western sections of my local library than YA or LN (if we had any).

I really haven't been liking Haruki for a while. The tipping point probably was when he accepted Setsuna's confession (though the rot started when he got Setsuna to sing that song he wrote for Touma).

Is the next episode focusing on Inchou and Bearguy, then? Also is that her name or something? Cuz I thought it was China but the kid always says it like Inchou in the show.

Likewise. Which is a shame, because he started off a refreshingly likable guy.

I wouldn't know how the subs are set up but inchou is like the class representative and apparently this cutie with the glasses is named China, who I guess is the class representative.
