This was like the besst thirty minutes of the anime since awhile back, Mao confessing to chika like all my favorite childhood friends in love bl stories.so close, but perfect dialogue for it. If only someday they would go that route. Such an underrated anime.

It's A-1, the show probably has little in animation as well.

Very cute episode. Started off well with Minori in a maid uniform and continued to go well with the various anime parodies. Sort of surprised that Papa no Iukoto was referenced. Dat last scene with Petraca reacting to her acting was hilariousOMG. This face

The anime could be interesting if all the standard animu harem stuff was avoiding...the water and wet clothes scene, the multiple girls arguing over Kojou in the monostary...its easy to forgot the larger interesting plot at hand with the progenitors and what not.

well, they've been quite horrible this year, most of last year too. It's been a while since good A-1.

I've actually heard that Magi S2 has had a solid production so far, though I can't speak from personal experience.

Indeed it seems she forced each part of the suit to demateralise one by one while avoiding each attack ( judging by the sound effects ) ... Would have been a very cool scene to show ... but hey ..they needed to show the restaurant name on screen first

what's the relation of rankings and voting with actual production quality? jojo was there wasn't it?
last year only Tsuritama was good that I remember, then they had terrible stuff like SSY, Magi, SAO etc. Blue Exorcist movie is apparently good too that I haven't seen that but as far TV series go, there has been some really bad stuff.
Silver Spoon and Galilei Donna are mostly bad too this year.

I find the original Muv-Luv Alternative to be superior to Total Eclipse, though.
I find it hilarious that I'm holding off watching the latest Log Horizon episode because of a QA session with original author on 4chan.
Didn't even manage to get the book from the previous comiket... at least I bought the bluray.

As for total eclipse my feeligns are jambled .. i cannot say right now because i just finished the anime. Ask me in a week or so.

Oh, that makes more sense. You confused me with the "spin-off is better than the source material" talk. Alternative is a direct sequel and conclusion of the plot-line, the only spin-off here is Total Eclipse.

Man, this arc was pretty awesome. When I first started this show, I didn't expect it to end up so smart and... good! Shiroe is definitely the best protagonist of the season.
Plot on the horizon is intriguing,

Personally I like Bakemonogatari's OP the best. Shaft did a splendid job at the part where the girl was slinging the paint around the room.
I also liked the Denpa Onno OP only for the 3D background on 2D animation effect they did.
This OP really is the best they've done in a long time. The past Monogatari OP's weren't that great.

Worst girl in the series turns out to have the worst episode in the season.
Shocking.
So many stills throughout the episode and a complete fuck up with Tabane's scene (or lack thereof) that obviously is going to be used for the upcoming BD/DVD.
There were at least a few decent scenes like Chifuyu messing with Ichika, Pika-tan 2 second appearance, Char scary eyes, and Houki blushing/wearing her apron.

A double whammy of ugh. Episode 7 had some backstory to the HatsumixHatzuki thing which I didn't care for very much although it did show that Hatsumi could actually communicate but only through writing/texting on her crappy mobile phone.
Episode 8 was the writers just deciding to just stick the Princess Kaguya folk story into the plot for some reason. The fight scenes with the samurai were hilariously bad, I'd compare it to Sword Art Online's fight scenes only with much much less movement.
Hey at least it can't possibly get any worse in the next 5 episodes right!
