Horo and Maou Sadao as support characters.....wtf SEGA.
It's a fighting game. Stories and motivations are all perfunctory anyway. Why they would include Spice and Wolf in a fighting game is beyond me. Sure she can get serious, but like 85% of the anime was this calm economy romance.

What fighting game is this..?
I don't really know what they could do to make it any better than it already is without like, rewriting the whole thing. Which would certainly help, I suppose but it's not going to happen because people have been far too accepting of a) people talking rather than fighting and b) wonky-ass pacing.yozakura quartet - 06
I know the source material is supposed to be dogshit, and it's a wonder that it's this competent already, but this would be a better show if tension generated in one scene was able to carry over to the next. Instead, conversations and expository sequences inserted between each setpiece breaks up the pacing and slows everything down. It's a twenty minute episode that feels like forty, and all the action can't quite compensate for that. It feels even sillier when all the talking seems to happen in some limbo where the monsters they fight stand still waiting for them to wrap it up. I know it's common enough to be a trope, but it's not a good one.
Also needed more Kotoha.
THANKS OBAMA
God I love your writeups so much Corvy.
I marathoned the whole show in one go. I might also be masochistic and an alien.

You can probably be ok watching 11 alone and then 12 and 13 together. How did you do this and retain your humanity? I have to watch 3 episodes of this straight in the near future and it fills me with dread.
Hey cajun, do you approve of my FF14 character? This is important.

Hah, I knew it was going to be like this because no way could they even come close to animating what was going on. This episode encapsulates nearly every sin that people discuss when they talk about cheaply produced shounen jump adaptations:
- Terrible pacing - There was about 3 minutes of actual stuff happening in this episode. I'm not even kidding. Toriko through 2 kicks during his fight because there was so little actual fighting and every single shot went on too long.
- Off-model characters (everywhere)
- Bad storyboarding
- Bad editing
- Bad animation - I think the original TV cut of the Snake Girl arc might have had more movement than this. Over 90% of the shots in this episode were stills. This was made even worse by the fact that this particular event in the story is meant to an absolutely epic event featuring hundreds of people all moving at once. It's the kind of thing you're only really going to see animated properly in a movie.
So yeah. Owch.

It was soooooooooo bad. I loved this arc and couldn't get enough of it in the manga but damn was I bored at the last episode. Toei truly does not give a shit.
Please tell me that blond haired girl isn't supposed to be emotionless? I always hate those type of characters, unless there some action type lonely character.
Also, that glasses character looks like Harima but without the cheesy facial hair. Which isn't a bad thing, but I just noticed it.
I might give it a watch if it revolves more around the MC's school life, rather then the club itself.

I wanted to read this as "furfunctory" what is happening to me?!It's a fighting game. Stories and motivations are all perfunctory anyway.
If only the timing was better I'd buy that. There are times where the blatant hatred for mankind makes me wonder if this show was made by the Tea Party. The desire to destroy civilization for the sake of the environment is the key factor in convincing me it isn't. But there's a lot of shared insanity going on.

Nice pic for the 2nd Persona 3 movie due out in early summer

You are aware that is part of his keikaku ne?If that's how it works then you're basically my mofuwa dealer.

I think I might just read the manga as this looks really sterile.
Not bad, hopefully the show will be funny...
Good luck with that, the manga is often very hard to understand. I hope that whoever translates the anime can do a better job... and I think that the anime preview there looks a lot like the manga, anyway. The art style is pretty much the same, I think. What's the problem?I think I might just read the manga as this looks really sterile.
I relieve my finals stress by watching Arjuna.
Or was that screaming for hours on end?
Hard to tell the difference, really.
Or rather, when you start getting bothered by human ears on a nekomimi character. You only need to consult when you start seeing nekomimis
?What's the problem?
I just want you guys to know that, well...I hate you guys.
Except for you, KirbYayoi
If girls can have penises nekomimi characters can have 4 ears. If anything the later is sound.Or rather, when you start getting bothered by human ears on a nekomimi character.
Phallus alone? Not comparable. Phallus and sack? Maybe. If girls can have penises nekomimi characters can have 4 ears. If anything the later is sound.
(but the hair trick is so easy one has to wonder why they bother doing this in the first place)
