Also, of that list I'd choose Code Breaker. Jojo is something you watch if you used to read the manga and/or enjoy the property. Not being familiar with the manga, the anime was a big turnoff for me.

You should watch Code Geass.
Thank ya much. I'll check out hummingbird as well. As for Code Geass, I've watched it. I really didn't care much for season 1. Overall, it was good but it blew my mind to the point of annoyance that every single damn battle ended with the white knight showing up. And everyone was surprised each time! Season 2 was much better in my opinion and had a great ending.

Also it kinda contrasts Fate/Stay Night where the Masters were the ones affecting the Servants, in F/Z the Servants are the dominant force and influence the Masters. Kirei is shaped by Gilgamesh, Waver by Rider, Ryūnosuke becomes even more twisted due to Caster, and Berserker on Kariya (although part of that could be attributed to the strain of controlling Berserker as well).

I don't think this is much different than FSN.
Caster is in complete control. Gilgamesh is still doing whatever the hell he wants. Archer is hardly subservient and has a big influence on Rin. Saber has more agency with Shirou than with Kiritsugu. Lancer rebels against Kotomine. Berserk's role is no different than in Zero. F/Z assassin was just worthless. Rider is where the real difference lies.

Eh, let's not generalize too much.

You had some refined taste buddy. Have you seen Tengen Toppa Gurren Laggan yet?

It does appear so. Im not sure what this thing is..

Sora no Otoshimono is on Netflix! and Subtitled! Wow, surprised that's on there, seems a little on the edgier side for Netflix, but I'm glad.

Only watched about 10 episodes of it before, good to see all 26 available. :D

Good stuff! Its a very entertaining series. Nypmh is every bit as cute as you think she is.

tokyo raven 6

kinda boring eps. main lead being adorable. kon being adorable.

story stuff seems boring

Kon is the reason for the seasons.

Caster falls in love with Kuzuki though. Archer does generally whatever he wants but Rin does have an influence on him and he does soften up in UBW and HF. Illya doesn't go crazy like Kariya does (although Ilya is somewhat different than a normal human) and is the person holding the leash. Then there is the Saber and Shirou dynamic as well.

I was listening to the TTGL ost today. Made me feel sad that klk's is so lackluster. Viral's theme kinda shits on everything.

Best possible examples.

A lot of people don't even realize K-On is seinen.

Indeed.

I can't fathom the idea of showing doujins that I read as a kid to my child.
So you'll forbid it, and then your kid will find out anyway and then indulge more because you said not to.

It's like you guys never went through childhood yourself! You gotta leverage the "parents are embarrassing" angle instead.

But then we wouldn't have gotten this doujinshi:

I think the anime made it clear how Kiri viewed her. He didn't view her as someone worth talking to or interacting with. She's nothing more than a tool and why bother your energy explaining something to someone who is irrelevant anyway. Even Iri pointed out how dysfunctional their relationship was after the Lancer bit and he didn't care at all.

So in this scene, the first thing I was say that is handled well is the surprise. Nobody knows what is going on and using Lancer's POV shows how confusing it is. You then have the guttural sound Lancer's VA does and the bloodshot eyes filled with rage. They also position the camera facing the direction that Maiya is firing from. Which gives the sense of layout so that the audience knows where Maiya is, later on.

Wait so this is the origin of that picture everyone posts?

You should, in no uncertain terms, NOT watch FSN. Its not a list show. Its just godawful. I hope Shiro dies.

While true, Illya in it is really very cute. Watch her parts at least.

Woah now, I didn't say I'd forbid them, I'm well aware of childhood things. It's just I would rather not reveal my stash to my child..

You were reading doujins as a kid? Damn.

It's hard to pinpoint my age in when I actually started reading doujins honestly. I recall watching porn at the earlier age, and that's because I found it hidden rather poorly. IIRC, it was also called Fucking in da Hoodz or something.

I can state that I discovered the existence doujins when I was 10, but I can't nail down the age. I'm assuming it's within that range though.

Btw people also need to watch the Einzbern's Room OVA, especially the second set.. Its as good or even better than the actual show.

Beyond the Boundary in the mid of eps 7
I finally know the context of this .gif
ibomkKvH0BDZwH.gif

What the fuck kyoani, maybe that show the state of mind from the working staff.
Who doesn't want more Taiga?

If there's a think that I really confident from the upcoming anime, Tiger's dojo would be so godly.. AOTY candidate.

NouKome 4 - I debated whether I wanted to say anything about this episode or not, but... I guess I will. Most of this episode was tolerably silly, if always stupid, but that bit where the (mind-controlled-into-liking-him-because-of-one-of-the-MCI's-choices) guys jump him, and then the adult-who-looks-ten teacher acts kind of annoyed that they didn't actually do anything to him... not funny. I know Japanese porn has a rape obsession which is just as (or even more) present in BL fiction as it is anywhere else, but that doesn't make a joke about that a good idea.
That it was guys who suddenly liked him after he chose the "harem" choice, and not girls? Amusing. That part above? Not.
I know that most people would say I'm overthinking this, but I do think it's a symbol of the general problem.

NouKome 5 - This episode was kind of amusing, I think. Better than the two before it for sure; I think I won't drop this, which I was seriously considering. This episode was VERY stupid, but it was an amusing stupid, which is about as much as you can usually hope for from a show like this.

NouKome 6 - If they have more episodes with Yukihira being as ridiculously cute as she is here, maybe I can forget how dumb and predictable the ending to this episode was... yes, I saw it coming, but it was still dumb.
Will he ever actually be allowed to remember? Last episode or something?

Also, cute Yukihira is indeed absurdly cute, but insult-ready Yukihira is awesome too. She'd be much more generic if she ever lost her insult side, so I hope it doesn't entirely happen. I saw this coming, since the first two eps hinted at it, but if she was a generic moeblob haremite she'd be MUCH less interesting, and unique, than she is. I don't expect that to happen, but that she IS that underneath is kind of unfortunate -- even if it was absolutely 100% inevitable and certain from the first second of the show, given what genre this show is: harem.
So yeah, this episode was alright, but the biggest problem with this show is that underneath the sometimes unique exteriors, the girls in this show are generic haremites inside. NouKome isn't a Maken-Ki-like hatewatch show, but it's definitely not anything approaching good, either. Some good bits? Yeah. Good show? Absolutely not.

Tokyo Ravens 5 - I think I'm right on the edge of dropping this... it's okay, but just is so bland. I'll keep going for a little while longer though I guess. The characters and story are alright, but it's pretty generic in a lot of ways, and that always-bad CG sure doesn't help either.

Seriously, though, Mr. Annoying Idiot MC, Natsume is right -- start studying. You're way behind, and ignoring it will not get you anywhere. You're in school, actually try to learn things.

Log Horizon 5 - In this episode, the main party brings their rescued girl back home. Much more importantly though, we learn how to properly cook in this world (you need to have a high cooking skill in order to make anything that tastes like something...), and also learn some things about the "People of the Land", the "NPCs" in this now-real 'game'. They sure aren't acting just like NPCs anymore, though they are also not like the heroes. As one of the characters says, they're more like the normal people, and the players are like superheroes or something... yeah, that seems accurate. The episode also set up for the next arc, which will apparently be yet another rescue arc, except at home. Anyway, interesting episode. I really like how this show raises some interesting questions about how this world works, and am interested to see the direction it goes in. The show has some issues, but is pretty good overall.

Log Horizon 6 - This show is by far the best show of the season, that's for sure! It's not close, at all. Log Horizon is a very good series. This episode has no action, which is fine; world-building and characterization are great. Also, given how overpowered the main characters are during fights, fewer fights would probably be good for this series... the story/worldbuilding parts are overall the better parts of the show, though there is an issue there too. Basically, this series is about the good, super-strong heroes who are better than the many villains they're going to defeat. It's quite simple in that respect. I don't really mind this, as good vs. evil is a classic theme, I like stories where the good guys are good (and can't stand or watch shows with villain protagonists!), and this is doing a decent job of making a show that is about that. However, when I compare this show to .hack//sign, it is one more way in which it's far behind, in addition to things like music (Log Horizon's is mediocre to bad, Hack Sign's is incredibly good) and art design (Log Horizon looks good enough, but it is a bit blander in design, I think). Log Horizon may be easily this season's best show, but it's no Hack Sign. It's a much more conventional series in that respect. On the other hand, being worse than one of the best animes ever is something most animes are, so this show has a lot of company there -- and it is a lot better than most of the rest. It is a slower-paced series, much more focused on good world-building than most animes are, which is fantastic. There are more than enough vapid and half-baked battle animes out there, this didn't need to be another one, and mostly isn't. So yes, it has black and white morality, so-far-overpowered heroes, and some other issues (such as the massively unbalanced thorn spell the MC uses), but it's a great anime overall.

But anyway, this episode was good. I only had one issue with it, really, and it's quite minor: So during the party, the ninja girl gets "betrayed" and is going to be forced into a dress for the party... but we never actually see her wearing it, if they managed to get her to wear the thing (certainly wasn't too ninja-like... :p), the next scene is something else and then the party is over. SO that was just a joke about that she might have to wear it? That was kind of weird. Otherwise the episode was good, though. Plenty of setup for the MC's new guild (Log Horizon), and setup for the next dastardly villains he will take down, too. Good stuff. I wonder how long until the MC moves past just saving a few people who he knows, though, and moves on to greater tasks... but I'm sure that is coming. There's no way this will stop with just rescues.

Infinite Stratos 6 - It's another Char and Laura focused episode! What is this, the Char/Laura/Russia season? Because it sure seems like that so far. Britain, Germany, and China haven't had anywhere near as much attention this season. I presume that France and Germany are the most popular ones of the girls? Well, their interactions are often pretty good, so that's alright.

So yeah, in this episode, the ten seconds of actual plot are the first ten seconds. Once that exchange with Madoka is done (and it's decent), the episode then proceeds on to a fight with Char and Ichika fighting against two random nobodies who somehow manage to blow up an important thing because somehow Ichika and Char can't beat them nearly as quickly as they should (seriously, those two women aren't even named! Win quicker!). After that, the rest of the episode is a long moe/comedy bit about how that thing that blew up had a thing in it which exploded and messed with Char and Ichika's abilities to do certain things -- Ichika can't summon his IS, while Char... can't wear panties. Yeah, Cue a lot of "Char acts embarrassed" stuff. Nopan's great (Saki franchise is great etc.), (
though Laura, why do you say that if Char doesn't wear panties she's "not my battle partner" anymore, or whatever exactly that line was?
I don't quite know what she means.), but embarrassment stuff? Yeah, that's not really something I like, and that was what the second half of this episode focuses on. Not good. It wasn't ALL bad, though -- Laura's calls home to her German helper-girls were great, and were easily the best part of the episode, despite that bit in the spoiler above. Great, funny stuff. Also, Laura... come on!
In the beginning, Ichika sees Laura without her eyepatch on, and comments on how pretty her usually-unseen eye is. Naturally she gets embarrassed and runs away, since that's what she always does when he praises her, and the next time we see her she has the eyepatch on again. Gah! She'd look so much better if she'd get rid of that stupid thing, and even Ichika agrees on that point... but to satisfy the creepy damaged-moe eyepatch fetishists in the fanbase, it stays on.
Unfortunate.

So yeah, it was another subpar episode. This show is bad. I'll watch the whole thing though for certain, and if they make a season 3, I'll watch that too, sadly enough... but it IS bad.

Like HOLY FUCK. I haven't really been feeling the show for awhile as it has kinda lost its edge and hasn't really been that interesting. I feel like after episode 5, the show has been kinda meandering. Then the 2nd half of this episode happened. Oh man. We get some great despair faces, cool shots, amazing animation, awesome music, and an epic death scene.
So god damn good.

Eh I like the episode, the humor and the action are pretty decent and most important for me the pacing not felt janky which usually my complaint for this show.. without that its just your textbook and generic chuunibyou show and that's not bad considering the show already show can sink lower than that.

Could you explain for someone who wants to not watch terrible shows?
What to be confused?
The protag kick the underage girl into drawer to hide her.

Space Battleship Yamato 2199 2

Making the enemies Space Naz Prussians helped get rid of my earlier hangups. Who doesn't hate Space Prussians?

The other thing that helped is battleships are awesome.

OH MAN GIANT GUNS YES

I guess things get started for real soon. Now that the Yamato is in the skies, we can see what space adventures are really like.

I love the blaring horns in the soundtrack whenever bad things are going down. It's so wonderfully retro.

Tokyo Ravens is a lot of fun when they're not fighting, I really liked this last episode.

Noucome was also pretty good, but the choices were weak this time.

Still didn't watch Kyoukai no Kanata 7

lolz at Maaya Sakamoto's voice, lots of action next week, fuck yeah.

with only 5 episodes left I don't think this will end up satisfying right now, gotta dig up the manga after this ends :( no idea where anime is at right now.

Is adulthood even harsh for Pokemon Trainers? I mean look at Giovanni! His job is basically to do exactly what he has been doing since, by law, he was approximately 10. And as a side job he just does what he likes to do some more.

Honestly how anyone is surprised that a man who grew up in a world where 10 year olds are sent out into the wilds to raise themselves turned out to be a self-centered criminal is beyond me.
i 100% agree .. and that's also why i liked what they did to him in pokemon origins.

He's always good enough to beat his rival in the final fight but never good enough to win shit unless we count that orange island league or w/e it was called, but notice how this is never mentioned ever again because it's a low achievement. How come Red and the other protags can do it in one game and capture legendaries. He can't even evolve his Pikachu or Bulbasaur because feelings. The Pikachu one is bullshit, he doesn't want to evolve so they can both prove strength comes from friendship and working hard. Guess what mate, your Pikachu is getting weaker and beaten by relatively low quality pokemon. Evolve him already, do ANYTHING different so it feels fresh.
Seriously .. he is like the perfect example of WHAT NOT TO DO in a pokemon game.
This is quite sad that nothing happens. Like can't they make him have achievements and then strive to be better by resetting his deck every season ?
They kinda do , by making let go of his good pokemons , but Why is pikachu still there ?How many times do i have to see another pikachu thunder attack ?
Speaking of the Fate world, I wish there were more concrete details on the FSN project coming up. I love Ufotable and all, but I don't know if they can strike gold again with another Fate project due to the issue that FSN is basically a shonen where FZ was a seinen. Shiro is a horribly boring stereotypical protagonist and his only role was as a blank slate for people playing the VN. Even if they choose Heaven's Feel, unless they rewrite his whole character to be less Naruto and make the heroes better I don't know if it'll be as great. Compared to the heroes of FZ, the FSN ones seem like very basic in design.
As long as they keep the events but rewrite his lines , if think we'll be fine.

Because the first thing I would do would be shove a dang thunderstone down Pikachu's throat and puberty down Ash's.
yes!
The next thing I'd do is forget whatever stupid story line we're in and move the show directly to Ransei and then Orre.
hum , why not ?
Also I would pander to Charizard and Mewtwo, and you better believe post-puberty Gary would be depressing as hell. Because unlike Ash, Gary has to get a real job and run Viridian gym. And by real job I mean he'll be trapped in a soulless marriage to a Nurse Joy, and Brock will be on the run from the law for reasons which are obvious.
Mewtwo action would be cool, more big clashes between great pokemons would be great
What's the deal with Nurse Joys anyway? Are they all sisters? A hive mind? Do you give up your former identity when you become one?
a big familly business ?
They can't be a hive mind because Mewtwo hijacked one and if he'd hijacked a hive mind God only knows what he'd've done.

They're a religious sect. Just like how Popes take new names, the Divine Sisters of Joy take that name as they travel across the land. They offer their service and remind you to come again soon not out of any sick and twisted desire to see you in pain, but because they want you to employ their services instead of PokeMart Incorporated, the MultiTrillion dollar industry which sells Pokeballs and Potions. Think about it, if not for PokeMart Inc, no Pokemon outside of Ransei and Fiorre would ever be captured. SILPH company is just a subsidiary, a shell corporation run by PokeMart Inc. So Pokemon Centers are free services run by the Sisters of Joy to provide care for your Pokemon for free, allow them time outside the capsules so the Sisters can put chips in them preventing PokeMart from rescinding your Pocket Monster License Agreement at any time and laying claim to the Gods in your boxes. Bill and his colleagues are of course all employees of PokeMart Inc.

So these women take up the name and ceremonial dress in a symbolic gesture to the removal of identity which PokeMart's Always Box Online policies are slowly forcing you toward.
woah so dark ...
Honestly I'd just plain pander to Fire types. Darmanitan, Arcanine, Torcoal, Camerupt, the works. FIRE TYPES. And in response to Marill and Pikachu a show-exclusive Firechu Pokemon. Probably would be a total Mary Sue. Also the opening credits would show a man pushing a truck and finding a Mew under it. Missingno would show up.

I'm a water type pokemon trainer , i can't understand why fire types are so popular

So there was a Type Moon cross-over series that's also a parody? Ya know, that could have gone so very wrong, but god damn this series does some great things with that concept. I did not think it could get an audible laugh out of me, but the series definitely managed to do that a handful of times.Gilgamesh and Berserker are amazing, Caster is absolutely adorable, and Shirou and Shiki basically going "Oh shit, we got harems, don't we?" feels rather refreshing.

Man, these sketches. Some of the jokes are quite old but the way they've been sort of adjusted to suit the current cast, makes me not really care. It's nicely meta too, like how Sakura handles Shinji's bullshit because she's a bit self-centered and her being a victim makes her look better in the eyes of the viewers. So if Shinji were to ever mend his ways, she'd become a plain nice character in her mind.

Has the anime fanbase pooled its collective knowledge to declare a Harem king yet? And I mean one with the biggest harem. I always though that title belonged to Toma from Majutsu No Index but you never know.

Depends on where you stand in terms of harem

If you go by sheer numbers
( number of female attracted to you ), even if some don't act or if the main character is unaware , then the undisputed champion is touma from index
+8000k clones of railgun , raiilgun , index, kanzaki, 2 girls from the amakusa, several british mages, the class rep ...and the list goes on when do i stop ?

Now if you go by number of wives ( people engaged to the hero in the end, the hero is aware of them and so on ) then the line if more blurry , but there are still some contenders.

-Seina ( tenchi muyo gxp ) with 8 wives + 1 pet ( yes the pet counts )
-kenchi ( tales of geminar ) with 7 wives and god know how many girls still lusting after him regardless
-Issei ( high school dxd ) with ( wait let me count ) 1 legal wife "rias", and 6 concubines " asia , akeno , xenovia, koneko , irina , ravel " but you have to also add those "intrested" and then the number double. And i'm counting only the females here .. because other wise ....
-saito ( zero no tsukaima ) 1 legal wife + like the entire cast of free characters that aren't ennemies after him ( except 3 ). i can count at least 6+

I really don't know how you can do better than those above
Date a live does have a intresting contestant , but no solid ranking in term of love relation ship can be done as of now
Negima started with +31 possibilities but in the end the author choose only a couple
